The following persons who have already appeared in Supplement A have been re- convicted as follows— George Martin, Case No. 58 ( Vol. II.), was, at Lambeth Pol. Ct. ( L.), 28- 3- 1927, fined £ 10 for unlawful wounding. Isaac John Murphy, C. R. O. No. 3191- 1917, was convicted with him. 116. Thomas Fletcher, Case No. 128 ( Vol. III.), was sentenced as John Gray at Chertsey P. Sess., 30- 3- 1927, to 1 mo. impt. for larceny. Entered a stable for the purpose of sleeping for the night and stole clothing from an upstair room. 117. George Williams, Case No. 361 ( Vol. III.), was sentenced at Tower Bridge Pol. Ct. ( L.), 24- 3- 1927, to 3 and 3 mos. impt. ( conc.) for possessing and uttering counterfeit coin. Inserted counterfeit shillings into automatic machines and obtained cigarettes. George Clarke, Case No. 379 ( Vol. III.), was sentenced as Harry Wilson at Glasgow ( Sheriff Ct.), 31- 3- 1927, to 15 mos. impt. for stealing a pocket- book containing money, etc., from a coat which was hanging in a billiard room. William Pearson, Case No. 403 ( Vol. III.), was, at Old Street Pol. Ct. ( L.), 30- 3- 1927, bound over in own recognizance £ 5 for 12 mos. for unlawful possession of a red fox fur. David John Edwards, Case No. 4 ( Vol. V.), was sentenced at Marlborough Street Pol. Ct. ( L.), 30- 3- 1927, to 1 mo. impt, for begging. William Smith, Case No. 118 ( Vol. V.), was sentenced at Bucks Sess., 4- 4- 1927, to 3 yrs. pen. for housebreaking. Method as in original ease. Thomas Nelson, Case No. 463 ( Vol. VI.), was convicted with him. James Ludford, Case No. 171 ( Vol. V.), was sentenced at Gateshead Pol. Ct., 30- 3- 1927, to 1 month impt. for fraud ( obtaining out relief). Arthur Fuller, Case No. 158 ( Vol. VI.), was sentenced as Arthur White at Sutton P. Sess. ( L.), 24- 3- 1927, to 6 and 6 mos. impt. ( cons.) for obtaining money by false pretences ( 2 cases). Method as in original case. Four other similar cases were taken into consideration when sentence was passed. 118. Thomas Nelson, Case No. 463 ( Vol. VI.), was sentenced at Bucks Sess., 4- 4- 1927, to 18 mos. impt. for housebreaking. Travelled by rail to a country district on a Sunday evening and effected entry to an unoccupied house by breaking pane of glass in window at rear. William Smith, Case No. 118 ( Vol. V.), was convicted with him. William John Hillier, Case No. 35 ( Vol. VII.), was sentenced at Cardiff Sess., 23- 3- 1927, to 3 yrs. pen. and 5 yrs. p. d. for housebreaking and larceny ( 3 cases) and being a h. c. Method as in Case No. 74 ( Vol. XI.). 119. Harry Dickson, Case No. 220 ( Vol. VIII.), was sentenced as George Edward Reginald Dickson at Aldershot Pol. Ct., 7- 3- 1927, to 3 and 3 mos. impt. ( cons.) for false pretences and larceny. Method as in Case No. 19 ( Vol. XII.). 120. Alfred Jones, Case No. 266 ( Vol. VIII.), was sentenced at C. L. S., 22- 3- 1927, to 3 yrs. pen. for house- breaking. Method as in original case, and obtaining money by false pretences ( worthless cheque). 121. William Westrop, Case No. 450 ( Vol. IX.), was sentenced as William James at C. L. S., 7- 4- 1927, to 3 yrs. pen. for burglary ( 3 cases). Method as in Case No. 134 ( Vol. X.). A case of larceny ( bailee) at Leeds, in which he was entrusted with money, the wages of a fellow lodger, to take home to his wife, but absconded, was taken into consideration when sentence was passed. 122. William Jackson, Case No. 41 ( Vol. X.), was sentenced as John Thomas Hawtin at Brighton Sess., 29- 3- 1927, to 6 mos. impt. for obtaining money by false pretences. Posed as a wealthy man, became acquainted with a woman to whom he proposed marriage, induced her to withdraw £ 100 from her bank, part of which he obtained by saying he would put it on a horse as a bet to win a large amount. Frank Donald Duncan, Case No. 152 ( Vol. X.), was sentenced at Brentford P. Sess. ( L.), 28- 3- 1927, to 3 mos. impt. for endorsing and uttering a cheque. Was employed as collector to an estate agent, obtained cheque from a client, endorsed his employer's name and cashed the cheque. Harry Humphries, Case No. 184 ( Vol. X.), was sentenced at Northampton P. Sess., 26- 2- 1927, to 6 mos. impt. for fraud— obtaining fowls, and at Wellingborough P. Sess., 1- 4- 1927, to 3 mos. impt. ( cons, with above) for fraud— obtaining potatoes. Method as in original case. William Hurley, Case No. 373 ( Vol. X.), was, at Marlborough Street Pol. Ct. ( L.), 30- 3- 1927, bound over in own recognizance of £ 5 for 12 mos. for being a suspected person ( loitering). Hustled women at omnibus stopping places and attempted to steal from handbags. 123. Frank Watson, Case No. 446 ( Vol. XI.), was sentenced at Saffron Walden P. Sess., 29- 3- 1927, to 3 mos. impt. for cyclestealing. Stole a bicycle from a field whilst the owner was at work. John Harrison Wallace, Case No. 463 ( Vol. XI.), was sentenced as John Wallace at Marl- borough Street Pol. Ct. ( L.), 5- 4- 1927, to 3 mos. impt. for stealing an overcoat from cloak room. Angela Macready, Case No. 38 ( Vol. XII.), was sentenced at Glasgow Sheriff Ct., 14- 3- 1927, to 12 mos. impt. for theft of clothing from boarding house and dwelling house ( 2 charges). James Watson, Case No. 138 ( Vol. XII.), was sentenced as James Wilson at Lewes Sess., 5- 4- 1927, to 3 yrs. pen. for housebreaking. Was brought up on Home Office Order. Patrick Ronan, Case No. 159 ( Vol. XIII.), was sentenced at Warwick Pol. Ct., 29- 3- 1927, to 3 mos. impt. for frequenting racecourse. LATEST INFORMATION. John Albert Thornley, Cases Nos. 93 ( Vol. II.) and 207 ( Vol. XIII.), was liberated, 4- 4- 1927, to Manchester. Edward Cook, Case No. 115 ( Vol. II.), was liberated, 29- 3- 1927, into the M. P. D. Intended address : 50, Nelson Square, Blackfriars. Charles Gurron, Case No. 221 ( Vol. II.), was liberated, 9- 4- 1927, into the M. P. D. Joseph Clement Hughes, Case No. 312 ( Vol. II.), was liberated on P. D. licence, 28- 3- 1927. Frederick Clifford, Case No. 362 ( Vol. II.), was liberated, 26- 3- 1927, to Winchester. George Govey, Case No. 80 ( Vol. III.), was liberated, 9- 4- 1927, into the M. P. D. Intended address : 66, Brooksby Street, Barnsbury. Joseph Wymark, Case No. 251 ( Vol. III.), was liberated, 12- 4- 1927, into the M. P. D. Intended address : 7, Mount Pleasant Road, Lewisham. Edward Mahoney, Case No. 31 ( Vol. IV.), was liberated on licence, 4- 4- 1927, to Sheffield. Herbert Hartell, Case No. 89 ( Vol. IV.), was liberated, 30- 3- 1927, into the M. P. D. Walter Bradberry, Case No. 161 ( Vol. V.), was liberated, 9- 4- 1927, into the M. P. D. Intended address : 1, Beulah Path, Maynard Road, Walthamstow. Edward Richardson, Case No. 356 ( Vol. V.), was liberated on licence, 7- 4- 1927, to Manchester. Albert King, Case No. 423 ( Vol. V.), was liberated, 13- 4- 1927, into the M. P. D. Frederick Hoare, Case No. 28 ( Vol. VI.), was liberated on licence, 7- 4- 1927, to Eynsham, near Oxford. Charles Woodman, Case No. 229 ( Vol. VI.), died in Parkhurst Prison, 26- 3- 1927. George Gardner, Case No. 362 ( Vol. VIII.), was liberated, 26- 3- 1927, into the M. P. D. Intended address : 50, High Street, Homerton. William Downs, Case No. 44 ( Vol. IX.), was liberated, 11- 4- 1927, to Swansea. Harry Haslam, Case No. 90 ( Vol. X.), was liberated, 26- 3- 1927, to Shepton Mallet. Walter Henry Fuller, Case No. 107 ( Vol. X.), was liberated, 8- 4- 1927, to Southampton. Sidney David Turp, Case No. 348 ( Vol. XI.), was liberated, 6- 4- 1927, into the M. P. D. Intended address : 218, High Street, Tooting. Dorothy Mason, Case No. 178 ( Vol. XII.), was liberated, 7- 4- 1927, into the M. P. D. Arthur Philips, Case No. 359 ( Vol. XIII.), was liberated, 30- 3- 1927, into the M. P. D. Intended address : 6 , London Road, Cricklewood. NOTE.— In the event of information being received of the DEATH of any criminal whose particulars have appeared in POLICE GAZETTE SUPPLEMENT A, the fact should be notified to C. R. O. As- the latest information or subsequent conviction of criminals, whose particulars have been inserted in Supplement A, will appear in each issue at the end of the cases, the original numbers should be cross- referenced on printed lines provided for that purpose. SPECIAL NOTICE. When any person whose portrait and description have appeared in Supplement A is again arrested for any offence, and on account of being locally known the finger prints are not sent to C. R. O. for the purpose of search, it is requested that particulars of such conviction be sent to Criminal Record Office as soon as possible in order that they may appear in an early issue of Supplement A for the information of all forces.
