CONFIDENTIAL THE POLICE Supplement B GAZETTE No. 2. FRIDAY, JANUARY 8, 1926. VOL. XIII. Convicts on Licence, Persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked * are Licence Holders and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say vide Sec. 5, Sub- Sec. 1, 27 & 28 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. C. R. Since his discharge was found work on a coasting vessel, which he left and has since bsen doing casual work in fish markets and living in common lodging houses and cannot now be traced. Pre. con. of larceny and cyclestealing. of her licence, which has been revoked.— Florence May Fowler, C. R. O. No. 7366- 21, b. 1905 Persons Licensed from a Borstal Institution. C. R. O. 8.— For failing to comply with the conditions of his licence which has been revoked.— Fred Hadnock, alias Frederick Hadnott, C. R. O. No. 2424- 22, b. 1902, 5ft. 5in., c. pale, h. brown, e. hazel, anchor. W. C. C. 1. forearm. A tailor : native of London. Known to police at BIRKENHEAD, in the CITY OF LONDON and on J. If arrested a telegram or telephonic message should be sent to C. R. O., when arrangements will be made for an escort to fetch him. The licence will expire 14- 5- 27, after which date he must not on any account be arrested by Police on the revocation Order. 2 POLICE GAZETTE SUPPLEMENT B. Friday, January 8, 1926. Persons Licensed from a Borstal Institution— continued. 5ft. 3in., c. fresh, h. dk. brown, e. blue. A servant; native of South Africa. Sentenced at C. L. S., 25- 4- 22 to 3 yrs. detention in a Borstal Institution for larceny. Liberated on licence 14- 1- 24 to the care of the B. A. Her conduct has been unsatisfactory and she is now lost sight of. Pre. con. of larceny. Known to Police on T. If arrested a telegram or telephonic message should be sent to C. R. O., when arrangements will be made for an escort to fetch her. The licence will expire 24- 4- 26, after which date she must not on any account be arrested by Police on the Revocation Order. Apprehensions. 10.— Frank Ruston, C. R. O. No. 816- 15, Case No. 97, Vol. IX.) is in custody at Watford charged as Harry Ruston, with housebreaking and larceny. 11— William Weyland Champion, C. R. O. No. 507- 14, Case No. 231 ( Vol. XII.), and sentenced at West London Pol. Ct., 1- 1- 26, to 12, 6 and 6 mos. impt. ( conc.) under the Prevention of Crimes Act— failing to report, etc. and obtaining money by false pretences— beneficiary under will. 12.— Edward Fisher, C. R. O. No. 1868- 06, Case No. 261 ( Vol. XII.), and remanded at Westminster Pol. Ct. ( L.) till 12- 1- 26, charged with larceny.
