DORSETSHIRE. 2.— Weymouth ( Co.).— For obtaining £ 1 by false pretences.— A Gilbert, b. 1891 to 1896, 5ft. 7in., h. brown, clean shaven ; dress, dk. suit and overcoat, Trilby hat. Loser advertised in Exchange & Mart for a mechanical engine and train and received a reply from Gilbert who stated he could supply one if loser would forward £ 1. This was sent and as no reply was received enquiries were made and it was ascertained that Gilbert had absconded. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Miller, Weymouth. LANCASHIRE. 3.— Liverpool ( City).— Charles Walter Foster, Case No. 9, 28- 12- 25, is identical with Arthur Holland, C. R. O. No. S/ 43209, b. 1883, 5ft. 2in., c. fresh, h. It. brown, e. grey. A baker ; native of Louth. Pre. con. of larceny, embezzlement, shopbreaking and minor offences at GRIMSBY, SPILSBY ( George Holland), LIVERPOOL ( Charles Walter Foster) and HOLBEACH ( Arthur Holland). Warrant issued. Falsely stated that he was employed by Coates, the cotton firm, that his motor car had broken down, and that he required the money to release the car from a garage where it was being repaired. YORKSHIRE ( WEST RIDING). 12.— Huddersfield ( Boro.).— Awaiting trial at Quarter Sess., commencing 4th inst., charged with using a room for the purpose of unlawful gaming ( whist drive).— Samuel Ramsden, b. 1886, 5ft. llin., c. fresh, h. dk. brown, e. brown, suffers from spinal trouble. A theatrical, dance and whist promoter; native of Bolton. Has been travelling the country, and in various towns has engaged a room to hold a whist drive, then advertises to give vouchers for large amounts as prizes.
