GLAMORGANSHIRE . 10.— Gowerton ( Co.).— For obtaining food and lodgings by false pretences, at Pontardulais, between 10th and 13th inst.— Michael Doyle, b. 1895 to 1899, 6ft., c. fresh, e. blue, clean shaven, bad teeth ; dress, navy blue suit, grey muffler, cap, new brown boots.— Annie Doyle, b. 1885 to 1887, 5ft- 8in., c. swarthy, h. black, e. dk. ( sunken) ; dress, short fur coat, brown striped skirt, hat, fawn silk stockings, brown shoes. Stated they had come from Ireland and had been sent by a priest at Swansea, to get in touch with Catholics, and to assist them in getting work and lodgings. The woman stated she was a nurse,: and would be returning to Swansea in a few days, to follow her profession. Both left the house 12th inst., and failed to return. Left behind a quantity of nurse's uniform, and pair working boots. Warrants issued. Inf. to Supt. Smith, Gowerton. GLOUCESTERSHIRE. 11 — Lydney ( Co...— For embezzling £ 1.— Walter H. Received above amount on account of his employers, failed to account for same, and absconded. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Shelswell, Lydney. KENT. 12 — Dartford ( Co.).— For obtaining £ 2 by false pretences.— F. W. Sessions, b. about 1885, 5ft. 7 or Sin., c. ruddy, prominent teeth ; dress, navy blue mackintosh, Trilby hat. Calls on tradesmen, states he has permission from Wesleyan Minister to publish a book called Wesleyan and Methodist blotter and induces them to insert advertisements in the book. Warrant issued. Represented he was agent for the Wesleyan and General Assurance Society, and was making enquiries about the life of a woman for insurance purposes.
