CONFIDENTIAL Supplement B THE POLICE GAZETTE No. 3. FRIDAY, JANUARY 16, 1925. VOL. XII. Convicts on Licenoe, Persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Thoso bearing names marked * uro Licence Holders and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Polioe Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say vide Sec. 6, Sub- Sec. 1, 7 & 21 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. \ Licence Holders and Supervisees. SOUTHKND- ON-> SEA ( BORO.). 14.—" Sophia Neilson, aliases Sarah Wilson and Sophia Ann Neilson, C. R. O. No. 22962- 17, b. 1882, 4ft. 11 in., c. fresh, h. brown, e. hazel. Native of Rochdale. Sentenced at Cambridge Sess., 4- 1- 23, to 3 yrs. pen. for false pretences. Liberated on licence, 1- 1- 25, to Southend- on- Sea. Failed to report on liberation. Pre. con. of false pretences and minor offences. Known to police at BOURNEMOUTH, BLACKPOOL, MATLOCK and CAMBRIDGE. For portrait, etc., see Case No. 475, Supplement A ( Vol. VTTL). May be dealt with where found if there is evidence of an offence against the Prevention of Crimes Act. in such place. Apprehensions. 15.— Edwin Frederick Bodenham, C. R. O. No. 121- 18, Case No. 1 ( Vol. XTT.), is remanded at. South Western Pol. Ct . ( L.) till 20- 1- 25, charged as Edwin David Emsley, with fraud. Apprehensions Sought. Leonard Stephen Wraight, C. R. O.
