CHESHIRE. 1 IS.— Heswall ( Co.).— For absconding from Akbar Nautical School, 30th alt.— John Harlow, b. 1910, 5ft, 21in., thin build, h. dk., e. hazel, round face ; dressed in a school uniform. Native of London.— John George Temple, b. 1909, ,5ft. 2Jin., medium build, h. fair, e. blue ; dressed in a school uniform. Native of London. Inf. to Supt. Ennion, Heswall. DERBYSHIRE. 119.- Alfreton ( Co.).— For stealing between 20th and 29th ult,, at Ashover.— 901bs. of mixed corn ( recovered) and 7 balls of binder twine ( new).— Charles Southwell, aliases Joe Chester, Jim and Charlie, b. 1SS2, 5ft. S or Bin., h. brown, small lump left side of chin ; dress, grey sports coat, dk. grey trousers, cap, dk. muffler ( with thin white stripe), Army bootH. Follows threshing machines. A farm labourer ; native of Coventry. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Alfreton. 120.— Alfreton ( Co.).— For stealing ( lodgings) between 29th ult. and 1st inst., half sovereign, gold bangle ( recovered), small brown suede purse containing about Is. ( id.— William Keppell, b. a' out 1884, 5ft. 10in., slim build, h. dk. ( turning grey), moustache fair, flat footed, cut over rt. eye and fourth rt. finger ; dress, dk. suit, collar and tie, It. grey cap, wearing soldier's discharge badge. A painter. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Campbell, Alfreton. 121.— Ilkeston ( Co.).— For stealing quantity of joiner's tools from a building in course of erection, 1st inst.— A Man who gave name of W. Simpson, b. 1889 to 185) 4, 5ft. 8 or Bin., stiff build, c. ruddy, clean shaven ; dress, green cap, green tweed jacket and brown overalls ( stolen). Pawned the stolen tools ( recovered), also pledged a small green handbag containing hack saw, small trowel, 33ft, tape measure and ti pairs pliers. Also left behind : 33ft. measure, made by Chesterton, Sheffield, England. May be in possession of a pawnticket with the name Preston, Pawnbroker, Ilkeston, thereon. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Walker, Ilkeston. ESSEX. 122.— Colchester ( Boro.).— For stealing gent's bicycle, 29th ult.— A Man who gave name of C. W. Chapman, b. 1898, 5ft. 7 or 8in., slim build, c. fair, clean shaven, small features ; dress, brown suit, trousers darker than jacket, fawn coat, dk. cap, soft collar and tie, shoes. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Colchester. LANCASHIRE. 123.— Liverpool ( City).— For stealing, 27th ult., 10s.— A Man, b. 1864 to 1874, 5ft. lOin. to 6ft,, stout build, h. ( going bald, slightly grey) and moustache dk., full face, cyst 1. of face, scar or cleft centre of chin ; dress, dk. grey suit, dk. grey Trilby hat, soft collar, tie, wore apron. Called on woman and asked her to purchase roll of oil- cloth for £ 2 15s. She agreed and paid 10s. deposit but he demanded another 10s., and when she went to borrow the money he absconded. Inf. to the C. C., Liverpool. NORFOLK. 124.— North Walsham ( Co.).— For obtaining money by false pretences at Cromer, on or about 24- 8- 24.-' Miss M. Jones, b. 1892 to 1894, slim build, c. bronzed, h. ( frizzy) and e. brown, London accent; dress, brown costume, brown straw hat, cream stockings, brown shoes. In possession of red straw hat with black edging and spider worked in silk on top, and small suit- case. Engaged apartments from 25th to 30th August. On 22- 8- 24 advertised in Feathered World poultry houses, incubators, etc., for sale, and also in Fruit Grower, currant bushes. Several sums were received by her but she failed to forward the goods. Absconded 30th August. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Carter, North Walsham. IS THE TOLICE GAZETTE. Wednesday, December 3, 1924. APPREHENSIONS SOUGHT— continued. WARWICKSHIRE. 125.— Birmingham ( City).— For stealing ( servant) £ 30 10s.- Donald Marcus Alexander Harper, b. 1902, 5ft. llin., thin build, c. fresh, h. It. brown, e.- blue, clean shaven, thin features, pointed nose, walks slowly ; dress, navy blue suit, grey cap, white shirt ( with blue stripe). A barman. On 27th ult, was entrusted by his brother, a licensed victualler, to take above sum to bank, but failed to do so and absconded. After he had gone a further sum of £ 43 9s. 8d. was missed from a bed- room and he is suspected of stealing that also. Is n good pianist and may be found playing in public houses or concert rooms. Warrant issued. Tnf. to the C. C., Birmingham. YORKSHIRE ( WEST RIDING). V 120.- Leeds ( City).— For failing to surrender to bail at Assizes, 25th ult., to answer 2 charges of larceny.— Hyman Garber, b. 1904, 5ft. 4Jin., c. sallow, h. ginger, e. blue, cauliflower 1. ear. Native of Russia. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Leeds. 127.- Sheffield ( City).— For stealing, 27th ult., gent's silver Geneva keyless watch, Roman numerals, white dial, No. 7807 ; heavy silver pocket to pocket chain, has attached a shield shaped medal with gold centre and 5 bars for the South African campaign ; grey silk scarf, wide red stripes down edges and 2 narrow red ones in centre; gent's blue- green overcoat, British " Warm pattern ; and £ 1 5s.— Victor Horritt, b. 1908, 5ft. 5 or fiin., thin build, c. pale, h. black, e. brown, stoops, good teeth ; dress, brown mixture suit ( new), dirty grey cap, boots. A labourer ; native of Sheffield. Stole the property from his parents' house and absconded. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Sheffield.
