R. O. 2.— C Division.— For obtaining £ 40 by false pretences.— Richard Blake, abases Blakie, Black- ney and Blakeney, b. 1894, 6ft., medium build, c. sallow, h. and e. ( small) dk., wears tortoiseshell rimmed spectacles, clean shaven, round face, deep cleft in chin, short straight nose ; dress, blue striped or grey mixture suit, grey felt hat ( with large brim), pointed shoes. Obtained above amount as part commission on sale of loser's business, on the representation that arrangements for sale were completed. Also obtained possession of cheque book on Lloyd's Bank, Wigmore Street, and some of the cheques have since been returned marked R. D. Accompanied by Mrs. Norman Penzer, alias Annette Benson ( not wanted), b. 1900, 5ft. 2in., well built, h. Pre. con. of larceny and cyclcstealing at REIGATE ( Edward Arthur Wade) and on L. Was entrusted with the property to sell the flowers and return the basket, and absconded. Inf. to C. R. O. 4.— P Division.— For stealing ( servant) £ 146 18s. — Albert W. Russell, b. 1903, 5ft., c. sallow, h. and e. brown, consumptive appearance ; dress, brown suit, soft collar and tie, grey Trilby hat, patent boots. A barman; native of London. Left, 19th inst., without paying, and after his departure a registered lettered which had been placed on the dining room mantlepiece was missed. May be found at boarding houses. Warrant issued. GLOUCESTERSHIRE. 7.— Bristol ( City).— For obtaining food and lodgings by false pretences, between 3rd and 10th inst.— Mrs. Maud Evans, b. about 1884, 5ft. 6in., slim build, c. pale, h. very fair, Scotch accent; dress, dk. blue coat frock with wide black satin sash, small black hat trimmed white daisies, black fur cape ; wore chain long of pearls and rimless pince- nez. Stated she was engaged as wardrobe mistress to theatrical company which was to appear at local theatre on 11th inst. ( false). Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Bristol. HERTFORDSHIRE. 8.— Watford ( Co.).— For leaving his wife and child chargeable to the Union, 23rd April, 1924.— Robert McAvoy, b. about 1875, 5ft. lOin., h. ( turning grey) and moustache dk., e. grey, slightly lame ; dress, It. brown sports coat, navy blue trousers, cap or Trilby hat, collar and tie, boots. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Haskell, Watford. KENT. 9.— Ramsgate ( Boro.).— For stealing ( lodgings) yellow china clock, about 12in. high, straight sides, rounded top, green flowers painted thereon, brass bezel and back, black hands and numerals.— A Man, b. 1879 to 1884, 5ft. 5 or 6in., medium build, c. pale, e. dk. ( large), small dk. moustache, long face, thin sunken cheeks, pointed nose ; dress, dk. suit, grey Trilby hat with black band, dk. red mixture tie. Appearance of a mechanic. Inf. to the C. C., Ramsgate. LANCASHIRE. 11.— Blackburn ( Co.).— Case No. 128, 23- 7- 24, cancelled.— George Percival Needham, C. RO. No. 16810- 16, not now wanted for this offence. Property has been returned to owner. 12.— Chorley ( Co.).— William Greenwood, Case No. 122, 15- 8- 24, is identical with Will Greenwood, C. R. O. Lewis, Prescot, 14.— Skerton ( Co.).— For obtaining food and lodgings by false pretences, between 12th and 18th inst,— John Hansell, alias Mowbray, b. 1894 to 1896, oft. 2in., c. fair, h. very It., e. blue, rt. arm crippled, Lancashire accent; dress, grey suit, tweed overcoat, cap, boots. A singer ; native of Melton Mowbray.— Kathleen Hogan, alias Mow- bray, b. 1898, 5ft. 5in., c. pale, h. dk. brown, e. grey ; dress, navy blue costume, blue hat. A dancer ; native of South Shields. Stated they were theatricals ( false), left the house saying they were going for a walk and failed to return. Were dismissed from a touring revue, 9th inst., for immorality. Warrant issued. LANARKSHIRE. 10.— Glasgow ( City).— For stealing £ 124 15s. 2d. — Robert Hughes, b. 1892, 5ft. 10in., slim build, c. sallowr, h. dk., clean shaven, prominent cheek- bones, walks quickly ; dress, navy blue suit, soft collar, soft hat.
