Those bearing names marked * are Licence Holders and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say vide Sec. 5 Sub- Sec. 1, 7 & 21 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. R. O. No. 991- 09, Case No. 121 ( Vol. XI.), is in custody at Birmingham, charged as George Morgan, with larceny.
