CONFIDENTIAL Supplement B THE POLICE GAZETTE No 17 • FRIDAY, APRIL 25, 1924. VOL. XI. Convicts on Licence, Persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked * are Licence Holders and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring H charge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say vid* Sec. 5, Sub- Sec. I, 7 & 21 Viet., Cap 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he dees nut produce the tame. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled throngh in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders and Supervisees. S., 6- 12- 21, to 3 yrs, pen. for larceny. Liberated on licence, 14- 3- 24, into the M. P. D. Failed to make his monthly report at Leman Street Pol. Sta. ( H), 14- 4- 24. Officer proving service of notice, P. S. Reed, C. R. O. C. R. O. 121.—" James Sheen, aliases Walter Roberts, Officer proving identity, P. C. Pateman, 169H. Pre. con. of larceny, shopbreaking and minor offences. Known to police at WEDNESBURY, TIPTON, BILSTON, WALSALL, BIRMINGHAM, CHEP- STOW, TENBURY, GLOUCESTER, CHELTEN- HAM, LITTLEDEAN, WOLVERHAMPTON, BRISTOL, DUDLEY, in CITY OF LONDON and on H. May be dealt with where found if there is evidence of an offence against the Prevention of Crimes Act in such place. John Taylor, George Brown, Thomas Robson, 2 POLICE GAZETTE SUPPLEMENT B. Sentenced at Bradford Sess., 4- 1- 22, to 3 yrs. pen. for burglary ( 2 cases). Liberated on licence, 4- 4- 24, to Bradford. Apprehensions. 123.— Harry MacDonald, C. R. O. No. 2637- 01, Case No. 297 ( Vol. X.), is in custody at Barrow- in- Furness, charged as George William Watson, with obtaining food and lodging by false pretences. Apprehensions Sought. 124.— Albert Carr, C. R. O. No. 288- 05, Case No. 48 125.— Richard Issherwood, C. R. O. No. 9797- 14, ( Vol. XI.). Not now wanted. Case No. 97 ( Vol. XI.). Not now wanted.
