CONFIDENTIAL THE POLICE Supplement B GAZETTE No 4 FRIDAY, JANUARY 25, L'.) 24 VOL XI Convicts on Licence, Persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked * are Licence Holders and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to Bay vide Sec. 5, Sub- Sec. 1,7 & 21 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. c. fresh, h. It. brown, e. blue, mole 1. side of neck. A labourer ; native of London. Sentenced at Manchester Sess., 27- 7- 21, to 3 yrs. detention in a B. I., for cyclestealing. Liberated on licence, 3- 5- 23, to the care of the B. A. On discharge went to reside with his sister in North London. Subsequently went to live with the bandmaster of a band he had joined. of her licence which has been revoked.— Nellie Persons Licensed from a Borstal Institution. C. R. O. 32.— For failing to comply with the conditions C. R. O. 31.— For failing to comply with the conditions of his licence which has been revoked.— Albert Boulter, C. R. O. No. 6621- 23, b. 1903, 5ft. 5fin Absconded, 31- 12- 23, taking with him a musical instrument and two overcoats. Pre. con. of minor offence. Known to police at MANCHESTER. Arrest also sought for larceny on Y Division, vide Police Gazette, Case No. 96, 23- 1- 24. 2 POLICE GAZETTE SUPPLEMENT B. Friday, January 25, 1924. Persons Licensed from a Borstal Institution— continued. Turner, alias Eleanor Turner, C. R. O. No. 20618- 23, b. 1903, 4ft. 8in., c. fresh, h. brown, e. hazel. A servant; native of Manchester.' Sentenced at C. L. S., 7- 12- 21, to 3 yrs. detention in a B. I. for larceny. Liberated on licence, 6- 12- 23, to the care of the B. A. On discharge returned to her home at Pendleton, Manchester. Obtained a situation, 7- 1- 24, and absconded with jewellery, etc. Pre. con. of housebreaking. Known to police at SALFORD and on S. Arrest also sought for larceny at Old Trafford, vide Case No. 120, Police Gazette, 11- 1- 24. Apprehensions. 33.— George Kimber, C. R. O. No. 2469- 01, Case 34 — William Smith, C. R. O. No. 16429- 20, Case No. 13 ( Vol. XI.), is in custody at Christchurch, No. 27 ( Vol. XI.), at Garstang. charged with failing to report.
