CONFIDENTIAL Supplement B THE POLICE GAZETTE No. 83. FRIDAY, AUGUST 17, 1928. VOL. X. Convicts on Licence, Persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought lor failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked * are Licence Holders and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licenoe is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say vtie 8eo. 6, Sub- Sec. 1,7 & 21 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable 6M0MS* why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders and Supervisees. C. R.
