STAFFORDSHIRE. 7.— Walsall ( Boro.).— For bigamy.— Patrick Kerens, alias Percival Kens, b. about 1883, 5ft. 6in., well built, h. dk. ( turning grey), e. bluish- grey, clean shaven, small scar over 1. eyebrow , teeth badly decayed and many missing, long scar on 1. forearm caused through gunshot wound, Irish accent, very illiterate. C., Brighton. 45.— Hastings ( Boro.).— 30th ult., from dwelling house.— Long 9ct. chain, chased links, about 3ft. in length ; lady's silver keywind watch, white dial, Roman numerals, gold flowers around face, old- fashioned ; gold brooch, set pearl in centre, gold leaves at each end, also set pearls, safety chain attached; lady's 9ct. ring, set 3 small brilliants ; and lady's 22ct. ring ( converted from wedding ring), set sapphire in centre and 2 brilliants. — Suspicion is attached to A Man, b. about 1898, about 5ft. 8in., medium build, c. ruddy, h. fair, clean shaven ; dress, It. grey suit, It. brown trilby hat and soft collar and tie. This man engaged room at house and, after remaining in his room for sometime, left saying he would be back for dinner, but failed to return. Inf. to the C. C., Hastings. NOTTIN OH AMSHIRE. 63 — Nottingham ( City).— For stealing 29th ult., gent's Kynock Whitton bicycle, 24in. frame, 28 x ljin. wheels, black enamelled, red lined front and rear forks, usual parts plated ( except chain wheel under crank which is black), rubber pedals, roller brakes, Dunlop rear and Edinburgh tyre front, 3- coil Lycett saddle, 2^ in. wide black mudguards, bell and tool- bag, red lined and Kynock at bottom for transfer, in good condition.— A Man, b. 1883 to 1893, 5ft. 9in., medium build, c. swarthy, e. and eyebrows dk., small moustache, practically no nose as result of disease or operation, round face, square shoulders, military gait, North Country accent; dress, dk. clothes and cap. rough appearance. Called at cycle workshop and asked to be allowed to use lavatory. He was given key but failed to return and later above described machine was missed.
