MAY 25, 11) 23 VOL X Convicts on Liccnce, Persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked * are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce't when called upon by a Magistrate or Polioe Officer ; hut it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder ia not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say vidt 8eo. fi, Sub- Sec. 1, 7 & 21 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable UHuac why K- does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders and Supervisees. C. R. Sentenced at Edinburgh High Ct., 17- 12- 20, to 3 yrs. pen. for assault and robbery ( 3 cases), assault and attempt to rob, theft and breaking into a public- house. Liberated on licence, 28- 3- 23, to Glasgow. Failed to notify change of address, 4- 5- 23. Pre. con. of theft by housebreaking, house- breaking with intent to steal and minor offences.
