Those bearing names marked * are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should bo distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say vide Sec. 5, Suh- Sec. 1, 7 & 28 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be rulod through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Absconded from her approved residence 15- 1- 23. Pre. con. of theft by housebreaking. Known to police at Glasgow. Inf. to Prison Commissioners for Scotland, Edinburgh. 25.- Joseph Fowler, C. R. O. No. 321- 21, Case No. 199 ( Vol. IX.), is in custody on N and remanded at Stratford P. Sess. ( L.), 29- 1- 23, until 5- 2- 23, charged as Joseph Collins with possessing counter- feit coin. 26.— Arthur Charles Chambers, C. R. O.
