METROPOLITAN POLICE DISTRICT. 1.— W Division.— For stealing Ford motor car ( recovered) and 2 brown canvas cases; 3 do. small ( 2 blue and 1 brown) ; bead case, containing 8 frocks, navy blue; morocain dress, belt at back ; 3 pleated skirts ; georgette evening dress, decorated panel; 2 dance dresses ; blue morocain dress, lace sleeves ; nigger serge pleated skirt; 4 gowns ( 1 taffeta, decorated rose and gold leaves ; 1 georgette and silver ; 1 crepe- de- cbine, decorated rose ; 1 georgette and morocain) ; black velveteen dress ; assorted veils ; set veiling patterns, trade mark, D. A. and F., London, Paris and Lyons, and lady's head; 30 bead neckiets and fans, assorted. All marked with tab bearing number from 141 to 187.— A Man, b. 1899, 5ft. 5in., medium build, h. fair, e. blue, clean shaven, London accent; dress, well worn grey suit, brown velour hat, black socks and shoes. Believed to be in possession of unemployment card bearing Yeovil stamp. The above man was brought by loser in his motor car. from Shaftesbury, Dorset- shire, to London, and was entrusted with the car to clean. He decamped, taking with him the car and contents. The car was subsequently re- covered minus above property. Inf. to C. R. O. and inclined to rt., very plausible ; well dressed and of good appearance. A musician ; native of Eccleshill. LANCASHIRE. 7.— Fleetwood ( Co.).- Robert Bradwell, Case No. 85, 4- 12- 22, is identical with Robert Bradwell, LEICESTERSHIRE. 8.— Loughborough ( Co.).— For obtaining £ 2 by false pretences, at Quorndon, 18th ult.— A Man who gave name of T. Webster, b. 1862 to 1867, 5ft. 10 or llin., well built, h. brown ( turning grey, bald on top), clean shaven, good address ; dress, It. coloured cloth overcoat, bowler hat, It. coloured spats, boots. Induced loser to purchase Idoz. Economiser burners, which he claimed would reduce the gas consumption by one half. Fitted eight of them and stated he would send a man the following day to fit the remainder, which lie failed to do. The burners were found to be useless and had to be removed. Leaves pamphlets ( not bearing any printer's name) at houses, calling attention to the increase in price of gas and recommending the use of the above mentioned burners, and follows up with personal call. LINCOLNSHIRE. 9.— Bourne ( Co.).— For obtaining 90 doz. eggs by false pretences, at Great Ponton, 12- 4- 22.— A Man who gave name of William Danks, alias Joe Spittle, b. 1882, to 1887, 5ft. 4in.. slim build, c. fresh, h. It. brown, clean shaven, Birmingham accent, sometimes wears glasses with large lens, said to have bad leg. In April last carried on fraudulent business as egg and butter merchant, 18, Chapman Street, Hulme, Manchester, in con- junction with Dennis Hopkins, Fred Barlow, I^ eonard Rudd and Robert Flint.
