CONFIDENTIAL Supplement B THE POLICE GAZETTE No. 43. FRIDAY. OCTOBER 27, 1922. VOL. IX. Convicts on Licence, persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked • are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder in not required to carry hi* licence - upon him. Before preferring a charge of failin.' to produce a licence it snould be ascertained what the defaulter has to say. vidt Sec. 5, S " b- Scc I. 7 & 28 Vici., Cap. 4 7, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show tome i eaumable excuse why he doe* wot produce, the same. N. B— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders and Supervisees. C. R. R. O. No. 2071- 07, b. 1886, 5ft. 9Jin., c. fresh, h. and e. Failed to report at Liverpool, 7- 10- 22. Pre. con. of larceny, shop, house and school- breaking and minor offences. No. 3098- 01, Case 215 ( Vol. VII.), is in custody at Salford, and No. 322 ( Vol. VIII.), is in custody on F, charged remanded till 28- 10- 22. as Sidney Ray with larceny. Apprehensions Sought. 221.— Herbert Ridgeway, C. R. O. No. 443- 01, Case No. 80 ( Vol. IX.), not now wanted, sentence expired. Memorandum. Arthur Edward Brown, C. R. O. No. 32- 22, Case No. 181 ( Vol. IX.), warrant issued. Original notice should be amended accordingly.
