DEVONSHIRE. 2.— Honiton ( Co.).— For stealing ( servant), £ 46 0s. lid., at Exmouth, between 1st and 11th inst.— John McFarlane Proctori, b. 1873, 5ft. 9 or 10in., stout build, c. fresh, h. white, clean shaven ; dress, dk. grey suit, It. trilby hat, white soft collar, grey tie, brown boots, carried It. waterproof cape. Was employed as book- keeper. May endeavour to leave the country. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Braddell, Honiton. HAMPSHIRE. 3.— Portsmouth ( Boro.).— For obtaining £ 1 Is. by false pretences.— William J. Harvey, b. 1877 to 1882, 5ft. 5in., stout build, c. pale, h. brown, clean shaven ; dress, tweed suit, trilby hat, soft collar and tie. Called on solicitors and obtained orders for books of which he stated he was the author, and on the understanding that books were to be delivered in short time, obtained above amount, but his statement has been found to be false. Has served as an officer in R. A. F. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Portsmouth. 4.— Portsmouth ( Boro.).— Leslie Thomas Can- ham, Case No. 8, 1S-. 10- 22, is identical with Leslie Thomas Canham, aliases James Goldthorpe, Leslie Canham and Jimmy Calthorpe, C. R. O. No. 16259- 22, Case No. 5, 13- 10- 22, b. 1905, 5ft. 8in., c. fresh, h. It. brown, e. brown. Pre. con. of larceny at SOUTHEND- ON- SEA. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Portsmouth. LANCASHIRE. 6.— Manchester ( City).— For obtaining £ 65 by false pretences, 6th inst.— George Scholes, b. 1882, 5ft. 8in., medium build, c. sallow, h. dk. brown, round face, clean shaven, teeth dirty, Man- chester accent; dress, brown suit, bowler hat, double collar, brown shoes or black boots. Adver- tised in newspaper for partner in small business and induced loser to deposit above amount. The business was carried on for one week and accused then absconded. NORTHAMPTONSHIRE . 7.— Northampton ( Boro.).— For stealing from motor caravan in fair ground, 18th inst., gent's fawn raincoat, straps on sleeves, ordinary pockets, much worn, fit man about 5ft. 6 or 7in. ; pair gent's black boots, toe- caps, size 7, Moccasin trade mark inside, recently soled and heeled; 2 or 3 green boxes of Pascall's chocolates, about 8ozs. in each ; and about £ 2 bronze.— William Sullivan, b. 1899 ( looks younger), 5ft. 8in., c. ruddy, h. dk. ( wavy), clean shaven, appears rather simple; dress, brown jacket ( worn), grey trousers, white muffler. States native of Chatham. Was employed by loser, a travelling showman, and absconded with above property during his temporary absence. May be found working for showmen at fair grounds. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Northampton. 8/— Wellingborough ( Co.).— For stealing pair shoes, pair gloves, baby's flannel jacket, child's dress, 2 pillow slips, comb and leather suit- case, 12th inst.— Doris Winifred Payne, b. 1901, 5ft. 8in„ slender build, c. pale, h. brown, e. blue, cut scar on upper hp ; smartly dressed. Warrant issued. Inf. to the D. C. C., Wellingborough. SUSSEX ( WEST). 9.— Worthing ( Co.).— For stealing ( lodgings), 18th ; nst., lady's gold keyless watch, white dial, black hands ; long gold neckchain, small links, pendant about size of florin containing photos of boy and girl attached.— A Man who gave name of Bloomfield, b. about 1898, 5ft. 4in., stout build, c. fresh, h. dk., e. deep set, North Country accent; dres3, grey suit, fawn trilby hat with brown band, kid gloves, wore blue enamelled ivy leaf badge in coat lapel, carried walking- stick with crook handle. Obtained lodgings for self and master, stated the latter was arriving next day, and that they were members of cinema syndicate. Left next morning on pretext of meeting his master and failed to return. Inf. to Supt. Bristow, Worthing. WORCESTERSHIRE . 10 — Stourbridge ( Co.).— B.
