BERKSHIRE. 1.— Reading ( Boro.).— For stealing ( lodgings), 12th inst., gold plated chain, about 2yds. long, plain links, small knobs about every 4in. ; plain 9ct. cross and blue and red enamelled sixpence attached ; flat gold bangle, about iin. wide, small chain attached ; lady's small gold wristlet watch, in strap, gold face, plain back ; pair gold gipsy earrings, set corals ; gold engagement ring, set turquoise and 12 small diamonds ; antique gold ring, set cluster of rubies, emeralds and opal in centre. Wilson, b. 1892, 5ft. 7in., stocky build, h. black ( thick, brushed back), e. dk. ( piercing), protruding mouth, clean shaven, well spoken ; dress, black jacket and waistcoat, blue pin stripe trousers, grey cap, blue and white striped collar, black and white knitted tie. Represented he had come from Cardiff to work at Great Western Railway Enquiry Office ( false), stole above property from an adjoining bedroom and absconded. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Reading. HERTFORDSHIRE . 3.— Bishops Stortford ( Co.).— For obtaining board by false pretences at Standon between 6th and 11th inst.— Frank Millar, b. about 1877, 5ft. 7in., h. and moustache turning grey, e. blue ; dress, blue trousers and waistcoat, dk. grey coat and cap, soft collar, blue striped tie, brown boots. Wore gold curb chain, with red medallion attached, and 2 rows medal ribbons including South African and D. C. M. Stated he was a Post Office supervisor and was repairing telephone cable in district, also that he was a pensioner from Royal Engineers. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Prior, Bishops Stortford. 4.— Hemel Hempstead ( Co.).— Adverting to Case No. 32, 9- 10- 22.— Three Men. Amended description.— b. 1892 to 1897, two about 5ft. 7in., the other taller, one has cast in eye ; dress, two— grey suits, other brown suit ( all new and too large), black and white check ties, velour hats ( 2 stone colour, 1 fawn), stamped Real Velour. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Hagger, Hemel Hempstead. HAMPSHIRE. 2.— Gosport ( Co.).— For stealing ( dwelling), 10th or 11th inst., gold curb bracelet and gold wedding ring ( recovered).— A Man, who gave name of Kellet, b. 1892 to 1894, 5ft. 5 or Oin., thin build, c. fesh, h. dk., full face, clean shaven, bad teeth in front, walks with head forward ; dress, dk. suit ( rather shabby), fawn coloured trilby hat, shoes.
