Represented that he was a wealthy man from Wales, and that he was in London negotiating for the sale of Army camps, etc., on behalf of Disposals Board. Obtained above amount by cheque, drawn on plain paper, on the London City and Midland Bank, Llangollen Branch, North Wales. Warrant issued. Inf. to C. R. A gipsy horse dealer and hawker. Is accompanied by a woman, named Miller, and is in possession of a van, trap and several horses. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Toop, Wareham. 8.— Wareham ( Co.).— For malicious damage to saplings — James Mason, b. 1872 to 1877, 5ft. 7 or 8in., well built, c. dk., h. brown ( turning grey), clean shaven ; dress, dk. jacket, grey waistcoat, black trousers ( old, torn at bottom), dk. trilby hat, red neckerchief ; very dirty appear- ance. A gipsy. Accompanied by a woman and 7 children ( ages 2 to 14 yrs.), and in possession of dk. bay horse and trap.— Sarah Cooper, b. 1892 to 1897, 5ft. 4 or 5in., stout build, c. and h. dk. ; dress, very long black skirt, It. blouse, no hat. A gipsy. Accompanied by a man, who gave name of William Cooper, and 6 children ( youngest 3 weeks old). Is in possession of bay horse and trap, with Sarah Cooper, Blandford, Dorset, thereon. HAMPSHIRE. 9.— Portsmouth ( Boro.).— For stealing ( servant) 13th inst.— Heavy plain silver cigar case ; do. cigarette case ; large metal watch in silver plated case and stand ; dinner gong ; 2 silver backed hair brushes ; silver backed mirror; 2 silver backed clothes brushes ( crest on each) ; 24in. green suit case, nickel exposed to front ( new) ; gent's fitted dressing case. It. leather colour, lock broken ; lady's brown aquascutum coat, lined throughout waterproof, belt at back, name Mrs. Laversuch inside pockets ; and several lady's georgette and muslin dresses, crepe de- chine blouses, silk crocheted jumpers, etc-.- Charlotte Foster, alias Charlotte Jane Foster, C. LANCASHIRE. 10.— Reedley ( Co.).— For indecently assaulting a boy aged 13 - A Man, b. 1896 to ' l899, 5ft. 8 or 10in., c. sallow ; dress, It. woollen three- quarter overcoat ( green handkerchief with brown border in breast'pocket), blue serge suit, double collar, It. cap, ( lk. glace kid boots ; carrying yellow walking stick with silver band. PEMBROKESHIRE. 11 Haverfordwest ( Co.).— For stealing gent's Raleigh bicycle, 28in. wheels, good tyres, newly enamelled black except rear mudguard, slightly turned- up handle- bars, lever rim brakes, Brooks saddle, acetylene lamp, new bell, handle- bars, rims, spokes and pedals painted aluminium.— George Kellard, b. 1903, 5ft. 3 or 4in., c. dk.. h. dk. brown, e. brown, clean shaven ; dress, dk. cloth jacket and vest with narrow white stripe running through, dk. grey trousers, grey cycling cap ( with ear flaps), brown boots ( 1. ripped at welt on outside). Native of London. Came from a home connected with Church Army, and has been working on farm until 6th inst., when he left, stating he was returning to London. Had in his possession a parcel of odd clothing and pair strong black boots. Warrant issued. Inf. to the D. C. C., Haverfordwest. SUSSEX ( EAST). 12. Eastbourne ( Boro.) Stayed at a boarding house and obtained confidence of proprietress, who entrusted him with several sums of money to pay rates, etc., which he failed to do, and absconded. Warrant issued.
