Induced the garage proprietor to obtain him lodgings, where he stayed 2 nights. Told the land- lady's son he could get him a Hotchkiss bicycle for £ 2 from a friend in London. Was in employ of loser as a canvasser, falsely repre- sented that a lady had given him an order for a gramophone and produced form bearing her signature. Obtained above property and absconded.
