Convicts on Licence, persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked thus * are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate " or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence, it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say, vide Sec. 5, Sub- Sec. 1, 27 & 28 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show som* reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Sentenced at Birmingham Sess., 23- 11- 16, to 5 yrs. pen. ( remanet of former sentence) for house- breaking. Liberated on licence ( which expires 9- 10- 23), 13- 1- 22, into the M. P. D. Officer proving service of notice, Insp. Hoggart, C. O. Failed to make his monthly report at Hammer- smith Pol. Station, T, 13- 2- 22. Subsequently sentenced at Northumberland Sess., 21- 10- 20, to 6 mos. impt., for fraudulent conversion of property and larceny. Liberated on second licence ( which expires 20- 3- 22) 18- 11- 21, to Newcastle- on- Tyne. Failed to notify her change of address, 3- 2- 22. Pre. con. of housebreaking, larceny and false pretences. Sentenced at Windsor Sess., 14- 8- 17, to 2 mos. impt. and 5 yrs. police supervision, for larceny. Subsequently sentenced at Bristol Pol. Ct., 17- 10- 17, to 1 and 1 mos. impt. ( cons.), for larceny and failing to report ; at Monmouth Ass., 30- 1- 19, to 15 mos. impt., for unlawful wounding; and at Bow Street Pol. Ct. ( L.), 1- 10- 21, to 4 mos. impt., for failing to notify his place of residence. Liberated under police supervision ( which expires 3- 10- 22), 12- 1- 22, into the M. P. D. Officer proving identity, P. S. Reed, C. R. O. Officer proving service of notice, P. S. Ashley, C. R. O. Failing to report. Pre. con. of larceny and minor offences. Known to police at PONTYPOOL, FARRING- DON, THORPE, WINDSOR, DERBY, BRISTOL, BOURNEMOUTH, SWANSEA, COLEFORD, NEWPORT, WEST HAM, READING, STONEHOUSE, NEWTON ABBOTT, WOTTON- UNDER- EDGE, MAIDEN- HEAD, STROUD, CARDIFF, CHELTENHAM, CANTERBURY, CHEPSTOW and on CO, E and K. Native of London. Sentenced at C. C. C., 7- 3- 16, to 3 yrs. pen. and 6 yrs. p. d., for larceny ( 4 cases) and being a h. c. Liberated on p. d. licence, 11- 1- 22, into the M. P. D. ( G), charged with larceny and assault, person, etc. Apprehensions Sought. 50.— Denis Batson, C. R. O. No. 21093- 18, Case No. 289 ( Vol. VIII.). Not now wanted. Memorandum. James Watson, C. R. O.
