Convicts on Licence, persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought lor failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act. Those bearing names marked thus • are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence, it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say, vide Sec. 5, Sub- Sec. 1, 27 & 28 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders MANSFIELD. 321.—* George Davis, aliases Alfred Marker, Sydney Cumberbutch and George Davies, C. R. O. No. 1715- 05, b. 1874, 5ft. 2Jin., c. fresh, h. It. brown, e. grey, birthmark back rt. of neck, scar back rt. ear, 2nd rt. and 1st 1. fingers. A French polisher ; native of London. Sentenced at C. C. C., 10- 9- 12, to 10 and 7 yrs. pen. ( conc.) for ( 1) attempted murder ( 2) demand- ing money with menaces. Subsequently sentenced at Bow Street Pol. Ct. ( L.), 21- 9- 20, to 6 and 3 mos. impt. ( conc.) for ( 1) breaking the conditions of his licence ( 2) failing to notify his change of residence. Liberated on licence ( which expires 26- 9- 22) 18- 2- 21 to Mansfield. Absconded from his approved address 25- 11- 21 without notifying the Police of his departure. Pre. con. of cyclestealing, shopbreaking and minor offences. Known to Police at MANSFIELD and on C, E, F, K and CP. Warrant issued. For portrait see Case No. 128 ( Vol. VII.). and Supervisees. C. R. O. 322.—* James Watson, aliases James Jenney, James Scott, James Leslie, James Everitt, Phil Ray, James Hill, James May, Sidney May and Humphrey Jones, C. R. O. No. 3098- 01, b. 1883, 5ft. 8Jin., c. fresh, h. It. brown, e. grey, laurel wreath and butterfly 1. forearm. A labourer; native of London. Sentenced at Leeds Ass., 14- 3- 19, to 3 yrs. pen. for larceny — dwelling. Liberated on licence 21- 6- 21, into the M. P. D. Failed to make his monthly report at Caledonian Road Pol. Sta. ( L.), 21- 11- 21. Pre. con. of larceny, fraud, cyclesteahng, receiving, and a minor offence. Known to Police at Leigh, Huddersfield and on D, E, F, L, S, T and X. EDINBURGH. 323.— For failing to comply with the conditions of her licence, which has been revoked.— Euphemia Faulds, C. R. O. No. 22901- 21, b. 1904 . 5ft. 2in., c. fresh, h. brown, e. grey. Sentenced at Paisley Sheriff Ct., 7- 5- 20, to 3' yrs. detention in a B. I. for theft and theft by housebreaking. Liberated on licence, 22- 10- 21, to Paisley. Absconded from her approved address, 26- 11- 21. Known to police at PAISLEY. Inf. to Prison Commissioners for Scotland, Edinburgh. Apprehensions. 324.— Frederick MacDonald, C. R. O. No. 1331- 19, Case No. 224 ( Vol. VIII.), is in custody at Bow St. Pol. Sta. ( L.), charged with larceny. Memorandum. George James Miller, C. R. O. No. 323- 17, Case No. 268 ( Vol. VIII.).
