The London County Council has removed from the Register the undermentioned Charity :— The Ex- Officers' Co- operative Resettlement Association ( Zero Fund), Central Offices, 66 Piccadilly, W. 1. FINGER PRINTS AT SCENES OF CRIME. Several instances have occurred in which finger impressions found at scenes of crime have subse- quently been found to be impressions of persons residing or employed at the premises. With a view to eliminating from search such useless prints, it is requested when sending articles to the Finger Print Branch, New Scotland Yard, for investigation regarding digital impiessions, that the finger prints of all such persons who may have touched the article be also sent. GLOUCESTERSHIRE . 136.— Stroud ( Co.).— For stealing ( trick) 10s., 24th inst.— A Man who gave the names of Williams and Walters, b. 1861 to 1871, 5ft. 6 or 7in., c. fresh, h. and slight moustache grey, thin face, pointed nose ( rather long), black tooth rt. upper jaw, walks erectly, Birmingham accerit; dress, dk. overcoat ( faded in front and on shoulders, velvet collar), dk. trousers, white soft collar, blue and red Scotch plaid tie, green silk muffler, grey cap ( faded), black boots. Stated he had served in the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. Met a youth at the Labour Exchange, told him he was a foreman on the telephone extension at Gloucester and could give him work ; that he could lodge with him and that same would cost him 23s. per week, but he would find 12s. towards the first week's lodgings, if he ( the youth) would put 10s. Loser handed him 10s. which he put in an envelope and sealed, and then handed loser another envelope addressed to Mr. Walters, No. 1 Cable, Bristol Road, Gloucester, stating the addressee was his brother and night watchman on the job.
