CONFIDENTIAL Supplement B THE POLICE GAZETTE No. 23. FRIDAY, JUNE 10, 1921. Vol. VIII. Convicts on Licence, persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Act Those bearing names marked thus * are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer ; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce a licence, it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say, vide Sec. 5, Sub- Soc. 1, 27 & 28 Vict., Cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce hia licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders and Supervisees. C. R. Liberated on licence, 21- 3- 1921, into the M. P. D. Persons Licensed from a Borstal Institution. PRISON COMMISSION FOR SCOTLAND. EDINBURGH. 169.— For failing to comply with the conditions of his licence, which has been revoked.— George Pyper, C. R. O. No. 10509- 21, b. 1902, 5ft. 6in., c. fresh, h. dk. brown, e. hazel. Sentenced at Aberdeen Sheriff Ct., 31- 3- 1919, to 3 yrs. detention in a B. I. for theft by h. b. Liberated 17- 5- 1921. Absconded from his approved address, 27- 5- 1921. Known to police at ABERDEEN and STONE- HAVEN. hif. to the Prison Commissioners for Scotland, Edinburgh. Failed to make his monthly report at King's Cross Road Pol. Sta. ( G), 21- 5- 1921. Officer proving service of notice, Insp. Duffin, King's Cross Road Pol. Sta. ( G). Pre. con. of larceny, fraud, etc. Known to Pofice at MANCHESTER, LIVER- POOL, SOUTHAMPTON, EXETER, BIRMING- HAM and on B and F. For portrait, etc., see Case No. 75, Supplement A ( Vol. III.).
