( long in front and brushed back), e. blue, long face, aquiline nose, clean shaven. Native of Strokestown. Is armed and will not hesitate to shoot. Inf. to above office. upturned handlebars, black enamelled^ ai/ over black celluloid grips, rim lever brakes fixed to handle- bars, rubber pedals, block on rt. pedal missing, black American leather gear- case, string dress guard, new " pump clips ( electro plated).— A Woman, b. 1896, 5ft. 3 or 4in., medium build, c. fair, h. auburn ( bobbed over ears), e. grey ; dress, navy blue costume, cream coloured blouse ( low neck), blue straw hat ( trimmed with silk ribbon), black stockings and shoes, wearing gold colour brooch. Met loser in the street and borrowed her bicycle to call a doctor for a sick friend ( false). Inf. to the C. C., Bootle. 2.— P Division.— For stealing a dk. brown gelding ; set of harness ; and a covered van.— James Foster, b. 1884, 5ft. 7in., medium build, c. fresh, h. and e. brown, clean shaven ; dvess, dk. clothes, blue and white neckerchief. May be found in the districts of St. Albans, High Wycombe and Oxford, selling plants and roots. Warrant issued. Inf. to C. R. O. LANCASHIRE. 3.— Bootle ( Boro.).— John Bell, Case No. 83, 27- 5- 21, is identical with Harry Bell, C. R. O. No. 18347- 15, b. 1896, 5ft., c. fresh, h. dk. brown, e. brown, scar 1. hand near wrist. A crane driver ; native of Stanningley. Pre. con. of larceny and shopbreaking at LEEDS. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Bootle. 4.— Bootle ( Boro.).— For stealing ( trick), lady's Raleigh Gazelle bicycle, stamped on front bar, 5.— Manchester ( City).— For obtaining several gent's and boy's raincoats by fraud, 18th ult.— Ralph Ellis, b. 1896, 5ft, lOiin., slender build, h. dk. brown, e. grey, thin features, clean shaven, wears eyeglasses, 1. foot turns out when walking ; dress, navy blue suit, collar and tie, dk. grey trilby hat, brown boots or shoes. Losers replied to an advertisement in the paper offering to sell by auction, stock, etc. Ellis showed them printed forms bearing his name and Auctioneer, 26 years reputation ( false). On 18th ult., he was entrusted with above goods to auction on commission, failed to account for same, and has since absconded. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. BUCKINGHAMSHIRE. 19.— Aylesbury ( Co.).— Remanded till 7th inst., charged with obtaining credit by fraud.— John Wilfred Barford, alias H. Keithley, b. 1894 ( looks older), 6ft., c. fresh, h. brown ( bald), e. grey ( wears glasses), stoops when walking. Called at a hotel, incurred a debt of £ 2 14s., and when presented with the account, stated he was unable to pay, but that his cheque book was being forwarded to him the next day when he would pay the account. The sum of 4d. was found in his possession, and he subsequently admitted that he had no banking account or means to pay. Admits committing similar offences in BEDFORDSHIRE and NORTHAMPTONSHIRE. Made the acquaintance of loser and visited her house, after she had left the umbrella was missed. Inf. to the C. C., Manchester. LINCOLNSHIRE. 50.— Scunthorpe ( Co.).— For stealing Ford motor car ( recovered, vide Case No. 32 current issue).— Arthur Fallen, b. about 1899 to 1901, 5ft. 5 or Gin., slim build, h. RUTLANDSHIRE. •'• I Oakham ( Co.).— For stealing ( bailee), lady's Rudge- Whit worth black enamelled bicycle. — Green, b, 1880, 5ft, Sin., slim build, h. It., prominent Roman nose ; dress, dk. blue suit, dk. overcoat with belt at back, collar and tie, black boots ; very respectable appearance. Borrowed the machine to proceed to a fair to sell cheap jewellery, etc., and failed to return. Warrant issued. Inf. to the C. C., Oakham. SOMERSETSHIRE. 52.— Iliminster ( Co.).— For stealing, 1st inst. lady's green enamelled bicycle, 24in. frame, plated handlc- l> ars. black mudguards. 2- speed gear ( out of order), rubber pedals ( odd rubber rt. pedal), rtvn gear- case, no dress guard, saddle spring token, and fastened with wire, rusty bell, toolbag and carrier attached.— A Man, b about 1881^ 5ft. 7 or Sin., e. sallow, h. and moustache dk., few days growth of beard : dress. It. brown suit, trilby hat, brown striped muffler, carried a fawn rain- proof. This man was traced with the bicycle to Rourton. Dorset, and was nest heaid of near Mere, Wilts, without the machine. He was then given a ride in a motor car to Hindon, Wilts, and informed the driver that his bicycle had broken down and was left at a cottage. The thief will probably be wearing a pair of the stolen brown shoes with red rubber attached as foot- prints could be seen outside the window and traced to the roadway, which were similar impressions that the rubber soles would make. PORTRAITS OF A PERSON WANTED. CORNWALL. 58.— Falmouth ( Co.).— For obtaining money " and goods by false pretences ( worthless cheque) at Helston.— William Lingwood aliases William John Lingwood and W. S. Beaver, C. R. O. No. 7505- 1!), Case No. 81, 22- 4- 21, b. 1894j( looks older), 5ft. 7in., slender build, c. very pale, h. ( bald top) and e. brown, scar centre forehead. An^ engineer's tool maker ; native of London. Pre. con. of larceny at BRIDGNORTH. Inserted an advertisement in a local newspaper: Gentleman, good position, wishes to invest small capital in any business with view of employment. Called on loser who answered the advertisement, and agreed to invest in a cinematograph business. Passed worthless cheques on tradesman, in the names of Beaver and Mount, and in one case issued a cheque for £ 36 in payment for a bill fo: £ 21, and received the balance in cash. All the cheques were made out on Barclay's Bank, Ltd., 17, Broadway, West Ealing ( L.), No. W 446 over 20, and consecutive numbers. Warrant issued. Inf. to Supt. Nicholls, Falmouth. The above horse was missed from the stable and another horse of much less value which belonged to Florence was left behind, and nothing has been seen of Florence since that date. Warrant issued.
