CONFIDENTIAL. Supplement B. THE POLICE GAZETTE FRIDAY, JUNE 12TH, 1914. No. 24, VOL. I. Convicts on Licence, persons under Police Supervision and others whose apprehensions are sought for failing to comply with the requirements of the Prevention of Crimes Acts, and the Prisoners ( Temporary Discharge for 111 Health) Act, 1913. Those bearing names marked thus * are Licence Holders, and should produce their licences. The first condition of a licence is that the holder shall preserve it and produce it when called upon by a Magistrate or Police Officer; but it should be distinctly understood that a Licence Holder is not required to carry his licence upon him. Before preferring a charge of failing to produce la licence, it should be ascertained what the defaulter has to say, vide Sec. 5, Sub- sec. 1, 27 & 28 Vict., cap. 47, which requires a Licence Holder to produce his licence or show some reasonable excuse why he does not produce the same. N. B.— When a circulation is cancelled, the printed matter relating to the person in question might be ruled through in red ink, without defacing the portrait. Licence Holders and Supervisees. • 2 POLICE GAZETTE 210. Leicester ( Borough). • ROBINSON, GEORGE. aliases, HARRY MITCHELL, HARRY PUGH, FRED HUS BAND and FRANK OSBORNE. C. R. O. No. 1268- 03, age 51, lit. 5ft. ljiu., c. fresh, h. dk. brown ( turning grey), e. hazel, scar centre of fore- head, rt. wrist and 1. foot deformed, dots back 1. hand and fingers. Sentenced at Leicester Sess., 17.10.1911, to 3 yrs.' pen. for housebreaking. Liberated on licence, 16.1.1914, to Leicester. Left his registered address without reporting his removal, 31.5.1914. A housebreaker who travels the Midland Coun- ties effecting entry to temporarily unoccupied pre mises by forcing the front door with a jemmy; regales himself with wine, etc., and usually stays in common lodging- houses. Known to police at Loughborough, Chipping Campden, Market Harborough, Nuneaton, Eccles- hall and Warwick. May be dealt with where found. 211. Liverpool ( City). • ALLEN, GEORGE, aliases, JAMES QUINN and JOHN NASH, C. R. O. No. 929- 11, age 35, ht. 5ft. 8| in., c. fresh, li. brown, e. grey, cut scars on forehead. Sentenced at Belfast Assizes, 17.7.1908, to 4 yrs.' pen. for burglary. Liberated on 2nd licence, 1 1.5.1914, to Liverpool, which expires 2.8.1914. SUPPLEMENT B. Friday, July 17, 1914. Failed to notify his change of address. A travelling housebreaker, etc., who effects entry to premises by forcing windows. Known to police at Stonehouse, Belfast, Picker- ing and Liverpool. For portrait, etc., see Case No. 135, Supplement A. May be dealt with where found. 212. Ton Pentre ( County). • WEST, GEORGE, aliases, ADAM GLAZIER, JOHN FOWLER and ADAM GRAINGER, C. R. O. No. 2227- 07, age 35, ht. 5ft. l£ in., c. fresh, h. and e. brown_ scar rt. ' temple, rt. of neck, on throat and inner angle 1. eye; pigeon chested. Sentenced at Notts. Assizes, 2.3.1908, to 7 yrs ' pen. for arson ( stack). Liberated on licencet 26.3.1913, to Cardiff. Left his registered address at Penvgraig, 22nd ult., supposed to go in search of work, but has not since returned, and was due to report himself 26th ult. Known to police at Chesterfield. Leicester, Stone, Lichfield ami King'A Lynn. For portrait, see Case No. 137. May be dealt with where found. Friday, June 12, 1914. R. O. No. 5581- 14 ( see Case No. 121), 214. For failing to appear at C. L. S., 13.5.1914, to answer a charge of malicious damage, and not re- turning to Holloway Prison, 15th ult.— MARY age 26, ht. 5ft. 8in., c. pale, h. brown, e. blue. A native of Birmingham. 215. For failing to return to Holloway Prison, 3.6.1914 — EMMELINE PANKHURST, C. R. O. No. M/ 19425, age 55, ht. 5ft. 2iin., c. fresh, h. brown ( turning grey), e. blue ( for portrait, see Case No. 23). ALDHAM, aliases, MARY ANN MITCHELL ALDHAM and MARY WOOD, C. R. O. No. S/' 173500 ( see Case No. 181), age 55, ht, 5ft. 4in., c. pale, h. grey, e. blue. 216. For failing to return to Holloway Prison. 4.6.1914.— ANNIE KENNEY, C. R. O. No. S/ 167531, age 33, ht. 5ft. 2iin., c. sallow, h. brown, e. blue ( for portrait, see Case No. 49).
