SPECIAL NOTICE. THE amount of stolen property at present " circulated" by the Metropolitan Police has become so inordinately large as to prejudice or destroy the practical value of the records, and it has been found necessary to limit it very con- siderably. Chief Constables are requested accord- ingly, when forwarding lists of stolen property to Scotland Yard, to send with them a letter to that effect.
