All communications for insertion in the POLICE GAZETTE, and all communications relating to them, should be addressed to THE EDITOR OE THE POLICE GAZETTE NEW SCOTLAND YARD, LONDON, S . W . 2. Particulars concerning persons whose apprehension is sought will be inserted in one issue of the POLICE GAZETTE, if they are sufficient to enable action to be taken upon them by another force. 3. Particulars as to stolen property will be likewise inserted in one issue, if sufficient to enable the article in question to be thereby identified. 4. In all cases where a reward is offered, the name and address of some person responsible for the payment must be given, and the exact conditions must be clearly stated. 5. Portraits of persons whose apprehension is sought for serious offences will be inserted at a cost of 8s. per portrait, and engravings of stolen property at a cost of 6s. per photograph or sketch, unless the article is large or unusually intricate, when the charge will be higher. A remittance of 6?. should be made in the first instance for cost of engraving sketches. 6. Every announcement, if for the apprehension of a person, must be guaranteed by the signature of an officer of not less rank than Superintendent; and if the name of such person is required to be inserted and ho warrant is in force against him, the requisition must be signed by the chief officer of police, or his immediate deputy, of the county, city, or borough, as the case may be. 7. In all cases the officer signing the request for the insertion of any announcement will be wholly responsible for any proceedings which may result from such publication. Announcements for the Friday issue should be forwarded so as to be received not later than noon on Wednesday, and for the Tuesday edition not later than Saturday morning They must be clearly written on one side of the paper only ; they must be in the usual form , and accompanied by a covering letter. A native of Handsworth, Staffordshire. Dress, greyish jacket and vest, dark trousers and cap, white muffler, old boots. All the clothing is dirty and far worn. He has several times been employed by a roundabout proprietor as waterman and for six weeks prior to the end of July he obtained his livelihood by gathering rags, and stayed at a common lodging - house in Crewe. Appears to be pregnant, and had with her a child about 15 months old, wearing a white and brown beaver hat. Supposed a native of Nelson, Lanes. He was released from custody at Middleton, 12th inst., where he had been detained on suspicion of stealing the bicycle. Information to Supt. A native of Taunton. He took lodgings at a hotel 10th inst. and left 11th inst., and has been traced to Taunton, where he had disposed of several other articles of jewellery stolen at same hotel.
