XII., No. 1235. 1 4H announcements for Insertion in the POLICE GAZETTE, and at. communications upon them ' should be addressed to THE EDITOU OF THE POLICE GAZETTE, NEW SCOTLAND YAKD, 2 ]'° rarticvfars concerning persons whose apprehension is sought will he inserted in one issue of the POI ICR G AZETTE, if they are sufficient to enable action to be taken upon them by another force. 3 Particular t as to stolen property will be likewise inset ted in one issue, if sufficient to enable the article in question to be thereby identified. 4 In all cases where a reward is offered the name and address of some person responsible for the mill - ent must be given, and the exact conditions be clearly stated. 6 p., rl rails of persons whose apprehension is sought for serious offences, and engravings of ' stolen iiroperti/ will be prominently inserted, with detailed particulars, at a cost of\ os. per portra t. and of Is. Cxi. per photograph or sketch of a stolen article, including the expense of •• miravinq on wood. . 6 Fren, announcement, if for the apprehension ofaperson, must he guaranteed by the signature ' of'an officii' or not less rank than Superintendent; and, if the name of such person be required to le insirted and no warrant is in force against him, the requisition must be signed hy the chief officer i f police or his immediate deputy, of the county, city, or borough, as the case may be 7 Announcements concerning stolen property must be guaranteed by an officer of not less rank than Inspector, or analogous thereto. KEGXJL- A- TXONS. 8. Announcements of all persons tole apprehended or ofstolen property oear a number, and art alphabetically arranged by counties. P. The force which causes particulars concerning delinquents or stolen property to be inserted in the POLICE GAZEITE, must, on their apprehension or recovery, at once trans. n t to the Editor notice of the fact, referring to the number of the announcement for insertion i* the next issue. 10. In all cases, the officer signing the request for insertion of aiy annons iment, Kill be wholly responsible for any proceedings which may result from such publication. 11. Announcements for the Friday issue should be forwarded so as to be received not later than noonon Wednesday, and for the Tuesday edition not laterthan Saturday morning. They must be clearly written on one side of the paper only, be in the utual form, and accu, i, r, anted by a covering letter. 12. All payments must be in advance, either rt the office, New Scotland Yard, ly cheque, crossed " Drummond § Co.," Post Office Order payable at Parliament Street, Putal Order, or in Stamps. 13.
