All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Ory are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, authenticated hj a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, and by the n; ime of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. • » * Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this information the mistake cannot be rectified. » Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the atKilition of Gaols, Stations, < kc., and of any circumstances rendering tlie^ supply of the " Hue- and- Cry" no longer necessary. Description of JAMES CORRIGAN, native of Gortamoan, county Fermanagh, who stands charged with having, on the 22nd April, 1893, at Blacklion, in the barony of Tullyhaw, parish of Killinagh, seriously assaulted one William Armstrong, by striking him with a stick on the head:— Gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, long thin face, slight make, 5 feet 7 inches fcigh, about 17 or 18 years of age, light fair hair; wore a tweed cap, dark jacket, gray tweed knickerbockers, a » d long brown stockings ; is a farmer's son. Description of THOMAS DUIGNAN, native ol Fatron, Ardlogher, county Cavan, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd Jannary, 1893, in the barony of Loughtee Lower, parish of Tomregan, caused the death of Ellen M'Kiernan by blows and kicks s— Gray eyes, shwt thick nose, sallow com- plexion, tbin face, stout active make, 6 feet 6 inches high, about 22 years of age, daik brown hair; wore a peak cap, light coat,' light tweed trowsers and vest Is a labourer. Description of CHARLES O'HALLORAN, sup- posed native of county Galway, who stands charged with having, on the 29th April, 1893, in the barony of Tulla Upper, parish of Tomgraney, stolen from the dwelling- house of Catherine Murphy, Tomgraney:— A gold cross, about 2 inches long ; a gold ring, set in ruby stones ; a heart - shaped medallion, and some white handkerchiefs, marked H. Hogan ; all value for about £ 5 :— Good- looking, handsome face, speaks with an English accent; long nose, fair complexion, round face, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, rather fair hair; wore a light- coloured peak cap, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; smart address; carries a brown walking stick. Description of a MAN, unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd May, 1893, in the , barony of East Offally, parish of Ballysax, attempt^ to indecently assault one Violet J. Description of a WOMAN, name and native place unknown, who stands' charged with having, on the 12th April, 1893, in the barony of Bunratty Lower, parish of Bunratty, abandoned a male child, aged about 6 months, whereby the life of said child was endangered:— Very freckled face; blue eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, long thin face, medium make, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 33 years of age, red hair ; wore an old red dress, old gray shawl, no boots; is a tramp. Description of the undernamed Young Offender, who, on the 20th March, 1893, absconded from trk « Philipstown Reformatory School, at King's County :— MARTIN M'ANDREW, 20 years of age, D feet inches high, stout make, fair complexion, light brown hair, blue eyes, somewhat crooked nose, regular mouth, oval visage; formerly belonged to Dublin; parents dead. The dress originally blue serge suit may have been exchanged. Went to Bangor, [ county Mayo, on March 20th, and did not return to his employer. Reported to have gone on to Dublin and England. 4 : 4 * The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with 11. 8th June, 1893. Tipperary. r escription of WILLIAM DWYER ( mother's surname Hayes), native of Gortahomogue, who stands charged with having, on the 19th day of May, 1893, in the barony of Kilnemanagh Upper, parish of Toem, seriously assaulted James Dwyer, of Gortahamogue, by striking him on the head with a spade, fracturing his skull, thereby placing his life in danger :— May have cut marks on head and face; gray or blue eyes, regular nose, sandy complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 45 or 50 years of age, sandy whiskers and moustache ; wore a low soft black hat, gray frieze coat, and corduroy trowsers ; is a farmer. Tyrone, JAMES COLLINS alias BEATTY ( robbery of money, & c.), Hue- and- Cry, 30th May, not arrested. ( 19869 c.— 8146). PATRICK MEENAN ( firing at the person), Hue- and- Cry, 30th May, not arrested. Description of JAMES COFFEY, native of Knockeraville, county Westmeath, who stands charged with having, on the night of 19th or morning of 20th April, 1893, in the barony of Moyashel and Maghera- dermon, parish of Dysart, stolen 3 sheep and 3 lambs :— Greatly bow- legged, result of being broken when training horses ; gray or blue eyes, regular nose rather sharp, fair complexion, thin face, medium make, about 5 feet 5 inches high, between 26 and 30 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray tight coat, tight fitting trowsers, black woollen cardigan jacket under his coat, heavy brass watch chain, will probably be found about horse training stables; is a horse trainer and groom. ' Wan- ant for his arrest has been issued and is in the hands of the District Inspector, Mullingar. Mullingar, 5th May, 1983. ( 2231 c 12691.) Wicklow. Description of the undernamed Young Offender, who, on the 7th June, 1893, absconded from the Glencree Reformatory School, at county Wicklow: RICHARD CORBALLY, 2,484, about 18 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches or 5 feet 6 inches high, very stout make, fresh complexion, brown hair, gray eyes, ordinary nose, ordinary mouth, OVHI or round visage; formerly belonged to Firhouse, county Dublin; mother resides at Roundtown. The School Dress, all with the Reformator^ Stamp, consists of:— Moleskin trowsers and corduroy jacket, cloth cap ( Scotch make), and strong nailed boots, No. 2,484. It appears that the boy got a change of clothes at Firhouse, and he is now dressed in a long dark coat, dark trowsers, and old felt hat. # The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to tTie nearest Justice on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with ill. 8th June, 18 3. G Division Particulars relative convict THOMAS LOVE, « . 20, convicted at Enniskillen, county Fermanagh, at Quarter Sessions, on 18th November, 1885, for larceny — two cases— and previous conviction, and sentenced to 10 ^ ears' penal servitude 50 years of age, single, is a stonecutter, born in Drumcoolan, Enniskillen, resided before conviction in Enniskillen where his friends reside; dark brown hair turning gray, brown eyes, black eyebrows turning gray, large nose, small mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, slight make, 5 feet I If inches high ; right leg ulcerated at shin, bald • n top of head. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison en licence, 23rd Slay, 1893. He recently lift his residence, 14, Bride- street, Dublin, without notifying to the Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with uader 34 & 35 Vic., cap. 112, sec. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. 8th June, 1893. ( 55 © H. C.) Particulars relative to convict JAMES M'BRIDE, c 400, convicted at Naas, county Kildare, at Assizes, on 15th July, 1890, for larceny from person and former conviction, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude, afterwards reduced to 3 years' penal servitude :— 22 years of age o § conviction, single, is a dealer; born at Belfast, no fixed residence before conviction ; dark brown hair, gray eyes, dark brown eyebrows, long nose, regular mouth, fresh com- plexion, oval visage, medium make, " 5 feet 8 inches high; cut- mark on top of head, J. M'B., on left wrist, ulcer marks back of right leg, large dent on right shin. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 22nd May, 1893. He recently lefthis residence, 46, Church- street, Dublin without notifying to Police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112, sec. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. 8th June, 1893. ( 559 H. C.) Particulars relative to convict MICHAEL M'GOLDRICK, c 21, convicted at Enniskillen, county Fermanagh, at Quarter Sessions, on 19th November, 1885, for larceny and previous conviction, and sentenced to ten years' penal servitude:— 60 years of age on conviction, married, is a dealer; born at Enniskillen ; resided before conviction at Enniskillen, where his friends reside; dark brown hair, brown eyes, dark brown eyebrows, small nose, small mouth, sallow complexion, oval visage, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high; ruptured left side, wears a truss, cut- scar on bridge of nose and on upper lip. This man was released on licence from Maryboro' Prison, 19th May, 1893, and stated he was going to Sligo. He was arrested on same date at Athlone on a charge of drunkenness, and discharged on condition of at once leaving the town. He has not since reported himself, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112, sec. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. 31st May, 1893. ( 557 H. C.) Particulars relative to English Convict MICHAEL DOODY, No. 294, convicted at Malta, at a Court Martial, on 10th May, 1887, for an attempt to commit sodomy, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude:— 23 years of age on conviction, is a soldier; dark brown hair, gray eyes, 5 feet 7 inches high; two scars on back of head, mark on top of nose, right side, scar on cheek and on first finger, also on knuckle of second finger and on buttock ; wore all his beard, which may now be shaved off. This man was released on licence from Portsmouth Prison, 29th October, 1892. He left his residence, 36, Nicholas- street,* Dublin, without reporting to police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112, sec. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. 18th May, 1893. ( 555 H. C.) Description of JOSEPH M'DONNELL, who was convicted of rape, at the Mayo Assizes, on 10th of July, 1889, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude, and who is now wanted on Warrant, in consequence of the licence granted to him on 1st April, 1893, for the unexpired term of said sentence having been revoked:— He is 26 years old, 5 feet 6^- inches high, brown hair, blue eyes, brown eyebrows, regular nose and mouth, pale complexion, oval visage, proportionate make; cut on forehead and on right side of top of head, mole and scar on chin, large scar on right wrist, flesh- mark on left wrist; is a blacksmith, and a native of Claremorris, county Mayo. Warrant in the hands of Chief Inspector COOPER, Dublin Metro- politan Police. Detective Department, 9th May, 1893. ( 553 H. C.) Particulars relative to convict THOMAS BURKE, c 313, convicted at Limerick at County Quarter Sessions, on £ th April, 1889, for breaking kit a a shop and stealing, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude, and 2 years' police supervision:— 53 years of age on conviction, single, is a labourer; born in Dublin; resided before conviction in Limerick; dark brown hair, blue eyes, light brown eyebrows, large nose, regular mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high; cuts on head, cro3s and dot on back of right wrist, varicose veins in right lag. Thi3 man was released from Maryboro' Prison on 4th January, 1893, and went to Cork. He left his residence, 2, Old George's- street, in that city, on 6th ult., without reporting to Royal Irish Constabulary, and his present whereaboats is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112, sec. 6, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. 13th March, 1693. ( 542 H. O.) Description of CHARLES FLUDGATE, who stands charged with stealing, on 19th ult., a horse, saddle, and bridle from Portobello Barracks, Dublin, the property of the Commander- ic- Chief of Her Majesty's Forces :— He is 24 years old, 5 feet 4 inches high, medium make, dark hair aad eomplexian, shaved iaoe except small dark moustache; when last seen was dressed in a brov a jerry hat, a light colour check lonnga suit, and black cloth top ooat; is an Army Roservist and a native of Dublin. Warrant in the Lands of the Chief Superintendent, Dublin Castle. (< 23 h. 0.) ENGLISH POLICE. Cheshire. THREE MEN charged with robbery of jewellery, and described in issue of 18th April, not arrested. ( 545 H. C. X Essex. Description of JOSEPH RAWLINGS, native of Billericay, Essex, late Bethnal Green, London, wanted at Brentwood, Essex, for stealing a horse, cart, and a set of harness ( recovered), at South Weald, on the 17th March, 1893 : — Bald top of head, scar left cheek, scar left side of neck, right side large scar inside leg from fracture, red mole spine; 70 years of age, very active of his age, 5 feet 6 inches high, fresh com- plexion, stout build, gray hair, generally dyed very dark, blue bushy eyebrows; wore a round hard felt hat and dark clothes. He is now supposed to be travelling in Ireland with low horse dealers. War- rant issued. Information to Superintendent ALLEN, Brentwood, Essex. 14th April, 1893. ( 550 H. C.) SCOTCH POLICE. Stirlingshire. Wanted for housebreaking, in Stirling Burgh, on the 17th instant:— A MAN about 25 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches in height, fresh complexion, full round face, dark hair, dark moustache, otherwise shaved; stout made; dressed in a black cord coat, dark vest and trowsers, light muffler, and black felt hat. The above- described broke into a villa about 10.15 p. m. on the above date, in company with another man who is in custody, by inserting a knife between the sashes of the window, removing the snib, raising the lower sash, and entering thereby. Police Officers are requested to make search and inquiry at all likely places with the view to the apprehension of the above- described ( who can be identified), and if found, to wire the Chief Constable. Description of a cow, the property of Thomas Keely, which was stolen from the lands of Knockmoyle, parish of Ballinakill, barony of Leitrim, on the 2nd day of June, 1893:— Yellowish brown springer cow, grayish head, white spots oh flanks, white on belly, straight short horns, 6 years old, in good condition, near calving, worth £ 7 or £ 8. Description of the following articles, the property of Catherine Murphy, of Tomgraney, which were stolen from her dwelling- house, Tomgraney, parish of Tom- graney, barony of Tulla Upper, on 29th day of April, 1893;— A gold cross, about 2 inches long; a small gold ring, set in ruby stones; a handsome heart- shaped medallion, in purple velvet and coral stones; a good silk square, brown colour, and 4 white handkerchiefs, marked H. Hogan, all value for about £ 5. Killaloe, 7th May, 1893. ( 22330 c.— 12911). Longford. Description of the undermentioned articles, the property of Henry Thompson, which were stolen from his house, at Tomiskey, parish of Mohill, barony of Longford, on night of 1st or morning of 2nd May, 1893, viz.:— A Brussel's carpet, 8 feet by 8 feet, red and yellowish color, small label attached, value for about £ 1 10s. ;- a tin kettle, holds about 4 quarts; a pot- oven, medium size ; a pot, small size; a large metal pan with handle; a steel tongs, new and bright; two silver tea spoons, hall- marked, no crest; a pietse of table oil cloth, 1 by f yards, white color.
