All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Ory are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary t » forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of j> ersons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with ail offence of this nature unless thoy have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. Should irregularities arise in tho delivery of the Hue- aiid- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this information the mistake cannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the abolition of Gaols, Stations, sfec., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Armagh, Particulars relative to convict HUGH DAILY, c 72, convicted at Armagh at the Assizes, on 14th July, 1886, for manslaughter, and sentenced to penal servitude for life, commuted to 10 years : 55 years of ago on conviction, married, is a labourer, born at Tullykevin, county Armagh, resided before conviction at Blackwater, county Armagh, where his friends reside; gray hair, gray eyes, gray eyebrows, large nose, large mouth, fresh complexion, oval worn visage, medium make, 5 feet inches high ; cut- mark between left thumb and finger, nail of right thumb split, lost some teeth. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison, 17th July, 1892, on licence. He left Armagh on 30tli ult., and has not since been heard of. Hogan ; all value for about £ 5 :— Good- looking, handsome face, speaks with an English accent; long nose, fair complexion, round face, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 20 years of age, rather fair hair; wore a light- coloured peak cap, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; smart address; carries a brown walking stick. Fermanagh Information required concerning THOMAS MARTIN, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 21st December, 1892, in the barony of Magheraboy, pariah of Inishmacsaint, ob- tained goods by false pretences from James Earls, Slavin, Belleek. It is supposed that he has committed other similar offences. His " modns operandi" is to get into correspondence with poultry and game dealers Ac., and obtain large consignments of goods, for which he cannot pay, being an undischarged bankrupt. Description of JAMES COFFEY, native of Knockeraville, county Westmeath, who stands charged with having, on the night of 19th or morning of 20th April, 1893, in the barony of Moyashel and Maghera- dermon, parish of Dysart, stoien 3 sheep and 3 lambs :— Greatly bow- legged, result of being broken when training horses ; gray or blue eyes, regular nose rather sharp, fair complexion, thin face, medium make, about 5 feet 5 inches high, between 26 and 30 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray tight coat, tight fitting trowsers, black woollen cardigan jacket under his coat, heavy brass watch chain, will probably be found about horse training stables; is a horse trainer and groom. Description of the undernamed young offender, who, on the 19th March, 1893, absconded from the Saint Kevin's Reformatory School at Glencree, county Wicklow:— THOMAS PERRY, No. 2,441, about 19 or 20 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, stout make, fair complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, large nose, ordinary mouth, oval or round visage, and rather sour- looking; formerly belonged to SO, Jervis- street, Dublin; mother and brother reside at 57, Great Strand- street, Dublin; " T" and " J. P." tattooed on right forearm. The School dress, all with Reformatory Stamp, consists of:— Moleskin trowsers and vest, cloth cap ( Scotch make), strong nailed boots, No. 2,441. This boy worked as a shoemaker for some time in Skerries, county Dublin. He will endeavour to leave the country and probably to enlist, if he cannot get work at the shoemaking. The Manager of the Reformatory will defray the expenses of his conveyance, if arrested, to the nearest Justice, on remand, and will reward the person who may capture him with £ 1. 20th March, 1893. Particulars relative to English Convict MICHAEL DOODY, No. 294, convicted at mAlta, at a Court Martial, on 10th May, 1887, for aw^ Kempt to commit sodomy, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude :— 23 years of age on conviction, is a soldier; dark brown hair, gray eyes, 5 feet 7 inches high; two scars on back of head, mark on top of nose, right side, scar on cheek and on first finger, also on knuckle of second j finger and on buttock; wore all his beard, which may now be shaved off. This man was released on licence from Portsmouth Prison, 29th October, 1892. He left his residence, 36, Nicholas- street, Dublin, without reporting to police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112, sec. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. 18th May, 1893. ( 555 H. C.) Description of JOSEPH M'DONNELL, who was convicted of rape, at the Mayo Assizes, on 10th of July, 1889, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude, and who is now wanted on Warrant, in consequence of the licence granted to him on 1st April, 1893, for the unexpired term of said sentence having been revoked:— He is 26 years old, 5 feet 6^ inches high, brown hair, blue eyes, brown eyebrows, regular nose and mouth, pale complexion, oval visage, proportionate make; cut on forehead and on right side of top of head, mole and scar on chin, large scar on right wrist, flesh- mark on left wrist; is a blacksmith, and a native of Claremorris, county Mayo. Particulars relative to convict THOMAS BURKE, o 313, convicted at Limerick at County Quarter Sessions, on 5th April, 1889, for breaking into a shop and stealing, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude, and 2 years' police supervision:— 53 years of age on conviction, single, is a labourer; born in Dublin; resided before conviction in Limerick; dark brown hair, blue eyes, light brown oyebrows, large nose, regular mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 10 inches high; cuts on head, cross and dot on back of right wrist, varicose veins in right lag. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on 4th January, 1893, and went to Cork. He left his residence, 2, Old George's- street, in that city, on 6th ult, without reporting to Royal Irish Constabulary, and his present whereabouts is unknown. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on 6th inst., and reported himself to the Dublin Metro- politan Police. Description of JOSEPH RAWLINGS, native of Billericay, Essex, late Bethnal Green, London, wanted at Brentwood, Essex, for stealing a horse, cart, and a set of harness ( recovered), at South Weald, on the 17th March, 1893 : - Bald top of head, scar left cheek, ecar left side of neck, right side large scar inside leg from fracture, red mole spine; 70 years of age, very active of his age, 5 feet 6 inches high, fresh com- plexion, stout build, gray hair, generally dyed very dark, blue bushy eyebrows; wore a round hard felt hat and dark clothes. ODBERT, Chemist's Assist- ant, who absconded from his employment on the 24th, stealing £ 10, the moneys of his master:— Age 23, height 5 feet 11 inches, pale complexion, thin face, blue eyes, hair dark brown, small dark moustache oat short to lip, little side whiskers, slight build; walks erect having been in the Army, which he may again join; dressed in blue serge sac ooat, dark trowsers, and vest with wide opening, woro a white muffler, but no overcoat, blaok bowler hat, and patent leather shoss; speaks with a strong Irish accent; has been in the service of Mr. Walsh, Chemist, 30, Westmoreland- street, Dublin, and Mr. Baker, 174, Victoria- street, London. The above- described broke into a villa about 10.15 p. m. on the above date, in company with another man who is in custody, by inserting a knife between the sashes of the window, removing the snib, raising the lower sash, and entering thereby. A white and red spotted heifer, 2 years old past, in calf, left horn turned a little outward, the other pointing straight to the front, poor condition; value for about £ 4 10s. 3.
