All Notices intended for insertion in tlio Ilue- and- Cry are to be transmitted under oover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communication, No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Noticos respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be insertod. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a cliarge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has boon issued, and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in thoir possession when making the arrest. %• Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be ncoossary to forward one of the oovors, or give tlio number it boars, as without this information the mistake oannot be rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of tho abolition of Gaols, Stations, < fco,, and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Description of a MAN, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 6th March, 1893, in tie barony of Lower Toonre, parish of Kirkinriola, assaulted and attempted to stab with a knife Rose Gilmer, and threatened to mnrder her:— Very dary eyes, regular nose, dark swa'thy complexion, full face, stout n ake, 5 feet 6 inches high, about SO tears of ape, dsrk lair, no whiskers or beard, may nave a slight moustache; wore a blsck greasy cap, dark or blsck coat, dark trowsers and rest; trade cr owupation unknown; has the appearance of an ergine fitter, mechanic, or sal'or on tramp. ( J1220 10717) Description ot PATRICK SCULLION, alias JORDAN ( mother's surname Jordan), has friends near Bellaghy, connty Londonderry, native of Killy- garron, who stands charged with having, on the night of lsty December, 1892, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Portglenone, fired three shots from a revolver at John Agnew, with intent to shoot him, and snapped said revolver at Daniel Agnew twice, with intent to shoot him:— Square shoulders, no beard or moustache, appears never to have shaved; blue ejes^ long nose, sallow complexion, thin face, slight make, 6 feet 10 inches high, about 28 yeera of age, brown hair ; wore a brown tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. Description of JANE M'ENROE ( supposed fictitious), native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 22cd day of Febrnary, 1893, in the barmy of Upper Loughtee, parish of Urney, abandoned her infant child ( under 2 years), EO as to endanger its life:— Sullen sppearance; small snken eyes, slightly hooked sallow complexion long fnll face, stout make, 5 feet 3 or 4 inches high, a bo it 21 years of age, black hair, w'th a monkey fringe; wore a black dress and jacket, with a flow en d print jacket underneath, a black hat, with some reddish flowers, and carried an umbrella; supposed to be a farmer's servant. Description of THOMAS DUIGNAN, native of Fatron, Ardlogher, county Cavan, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd January, 1893, in the barony of Longhtee Lower, parish of Tomregan, caused the death of Ellen M'Kiernan by blows and kicks:— Grey eyes, short thitfk nose, sallow com- plexion, tbin face, stout active make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 22 yeers of age, dark brown hair; wore a peak cap, light coat, light tweer" trowsars and vest; is a labourer. Inscription of " WILLIAM HEWITT, Junior ( Mother's surname M'Meikle), native of Drum connick, Cavan, who stands charged with having, on the 13th December, 1892, in the barory of Upper Longhtee, parish of Urney, stabbed one Moses Rourke with a penknife, and being bound by recognizance to appear at Oavan Petty Sessions on 19th Decem- ber, 1892, has absconded from his bail:— Prominent teetb, square shoulders, active appearance; dark eyes, slightly hooked nose, dark complexion, regular face slight make, 6 feet 1 inch high, about 28 years of age, dark hair; wore a black hard hat, dark coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's SOP. Description of ROBERT CREE ( mother's surname Campbell), native of Bangor, who stands charged with having, on tbe night of the 14th January, 1893, in the barony of Lower Castlereagh, parish of Bangor, felcnious'y and burglar: ously broken and entered the dwelling- house of Thomas Jamison, and stolen there- from the sum of £ 4 1 Of.:— Tattoo marks on both arirs, bracelet tattoced on left wrist, ring on middle finger of left band, blue eyes, regular ncse, fresh com- plexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 1G inofces high, abent J8 jears of age, fair lair, shaved all face except moustache which is fair; wore a black cap with peak, brown tweed coat trowsers, and vest, checked bsr in tweed, suit somewhat worn; is a labourer, and served in the Royal Horse Artillery. Warrant issued for his arrest. Newtownards, 18th Jan., 1893 ( 20402 c.— 9100). Particulars relative to Convict JOSEPH KELLY, or CONNOR, < fee., c 254, convicted at Downpatrick, county Down, at the Summer Assizer, on the 14th July, 1888, for horse stealing and previous conviction, and sentenced to 5 yearr' penal servitude:— 49 years of age on conviction, single, is a fowl dealer; bornin Dublin; has no fixed place of residence; his friends reside in London; brown hair, blue eyes, brown eyebrows, large nose, medium mouth, sallow com- plexion, round visage, etout make, 6 feet 7 inches high ; two pailors and two flags on left arm, faded tattooing back of left hand ; yacht and faded tattooing on right arm, wrist, and back of hand. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 6th December, 1892, and went to Belfast on the 7th instant, he reported that be was going to reside at Huddersfield, Yorkshire, but he has not reported himself at the latter place, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he shonld be dealt with nnder 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 119, see. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. ( 526 H. C.) Description of PATRICK LAWLESS, native of Dermotstown, who stands charged with having, on the 7th day of December, 1892, in the barony of Balrothery East, parish of Balscadden, attempted to commit rape:— Down- looking appearance, large tooth right ride of upper jaw; thick nose, pale complexion, broad face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 18 years oi age, very fair hair; wore a gray tweed cap, friese coat, dark tweed trowsars, and tweed vest; is a labourer. Information required concerning THOMAS MARTIN, native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on tbe 21st December, 1892, in tbe tarony ol Magheraboy, parish of Inishmacsaint, ob- tained goods by fa'to pretences fr; m James Earls, Slavin, Belleek. It is supposed that he has committed otter similar oflences. Bis " modns operandi" is to get into correspondence with poultry and game dealers, & c., and obtain large cor signments of goods, fcr which he cannot pay, being an urdischarged bankrupt. He is at present undergoing a term of imprisonment in England for a similar cflence ; is a commission agent. Information sworn and Warrant issued. Derrygonnelly, 8th Mar., 1893. ( 21352 c— 11014.) Description of PATRICK SULLIVAN ( mother's surname Nano Sullivan), native of Derrygsrrive, who stands charged with having, on the night of tie 27th February, 1893, in the barony of Glaneiongb, parish of Keemare, unlawfully assaulted Timothy Cronni, aid endangered lis life by striking him cn tke fcrebet d with stens, wlich inflicted a dangerous wound :— Blue ejes, regulsr nose, dark complexion, gfeert round face, stout make, 5 teet 6 inches high, about 22 jo, us of age, dark hair, small dark moustache; wore a soft black jerry hit, dark tweed frock coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. Description of PATRICK SHEA ( Mother's sur- name Sullivan), who stands charged with having, on the 3rd day of January, 1893, in the barony of Iveragh, parish of Prior, murdered John M'Carthy, of Lahorn South, by stabbing him with a knife, and seriously wounded Patrick M'Carthy his brother, of came place, by stabbing Believed to have old- cut mark on fore- bead at root of hair, dark ejes, thick nose, fresh or sallow complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 22 jears of age, dark hair; wore a slouched bat, black sack cost, gray tweed trowsers, black vest. Description of MICHAEL READE, native of Kilmoganny, who stands charged with having, on the 8th June, 1892, in the barony of Municipal Borough, palish of St. Mary's, stolen a silver Geneva watch from one James Blanchford. The wat: h was found cn the accused when arrested, and he was bound by recognizance to appear at Thomastown Petty Sessions on 7th March, 1893, but failed to appear, sxd has absconded:— Dark brown eyes, regular noss, palo ccmplexicn, thin face, slight make, 5 feet f i inches high, aloat 20 or 21 yearj of age, dark hair, no beard or whitkers; wore a tweed cap, tweed coat, light tweed trowsers and vest, is good looking and of respectable appearance; is a groom or stableboy. Description of LAURENCE ARCHER, native of Kilkenny, who stands charged with having, cn the 28 th November, 1892, at Coolhill, in the barony cf Ida, parish of Rower, attempted to murder his wife, by cutting her throat:— Shaves all the face, except small candy side whiskers, may have the marks of a dog's teeth on one cf his hands; gray eyes, short pointed rose, fair complexion, thin lace, medium make, 6 feet 4 or 6 inches high, about 45 years of age, fair hair; wore a gray tweed cap, dark tweed coat, tiowsers, and vest; is a farmer an i a woodranger. Limerick, Description of a MAN, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 26th January, 1893, in the borough of Limerick, parish of St. Michael's, stolen a mare, the property of John Rainsford, of Clonkeen, Barrington's Bridge Company, Limerick Red complexion, Jong tbin facc, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 26 years of age, foxy moustache; wore a cap and dark clothes; appeared like a tidy farmer's eon. BRADFORD, alias WILLIAM HUTTON, is in Omagh Gaol on remand to Ballygawley Petty Sessions on 21st inst, charged with obtaining a gold watch and a bicycle by false pretences:— Gray- bine ejes, regular ncsa, fair com- plexion, round lull face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, 25 years of age; has been a farm labourer and shop assistant. Particulars relative to convict GEORGE CAMPBELL, otherwise SAMUEL ROBINSON, c < 5, convicted at Downpatrick, county Down, at Assizes, on 13th March, 1886, for larceny and previous conviction, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude, and 851 days of a forme r sentence:— 55 years of sge, married, is a saddler, born in Larne, his friends resile near Larne; brown hair turning; gray, gray eyes, dark trown eyebrows, large hooked teso, large mcuth, fresh complexion, troad v. sage, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high; cut- mark on ball of left thumb, lost nearly all front teeth. This man wss released from Mountjoy Prison on 6th inst., and reported himself to the Dublin Metro- politan Police. He stated he would return and notify his residence, but he has cot done so, and his present whereabouts is ntknown.
