Description of PATRICK SCULLION, alias JORDAN ( mother's surname Jordan), has friends near Bellaghy, county Londonderry, native of Killy- garron, who stands charged with having, on the night of 1st December, 1892, in the barony of Lower Toome, parish of Portglenone, fired three shots from a revolver at John Agnew, with intent to shoot him, and snapped said revolver at Daniel Agnew twioe, with intent to shoot him:—- Square shoulders, no beard or moustache, appears never to have shaved; blue eyes, long nose, sallow complexion, thin foce, slight make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 22 yoera of age, brown hair; wore a brown tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer's son. Cavan. / Description of THOMAS DUIGNAN, native of Fatron, Ardlogher, county Cavan, who stands charged with having, on the 2nd January, 1893, in the barony of Loughtee Lower, parish of Tomregan, caused the death of Ellen M'Kiernan by blows and kicks:— Gray eyes, short thick nose, sallow com- > lexion, thin face, stout active make, 5 feet 6 inches ligh, about 22 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a peak cap, light coat, light tweed trowseis and vest; is a labourer. Description of THADE DINNEEN, native ol Cleadagh, and MICHAEL SCANNELL, native of Shronemore, who stand charged with having, on the 14th day of January, 1893, in tie barony of West Muskerry, parish of Ballyvourney, seriously assaulted Matthew Twomey, and fractured his skull, from the effects of which his life is now in danger 1. Gray eyes, straight nose, fair completion, long full face, slight make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 24 years of age, very fair hair, no whiskers or moustache jiwore a black coat, dsrk tweed trowsf rs, and black vest; is a former's son; believed to have a cut on left side of head, recently received. 2. KEANE, native of Youghal, who stands charged witn having, on the 4th April and 27th July, 1892, in the barony of Imokilly, parish of Saint Mary's, Youghal, embezzled sums of money which he had received as rates, the property of Youghal Town Commissioners:— Blue eyes, regular nose, fresh florid complexion, round fat face, very stout make, 5 feet 10 inches bigr,, about 35 years of age, round shoulders, shaves all the face, except small fair moustache, fair hair, cat short; wore a gray tweed suit; is a rate collector. Particulars relative to Convict JOSEPH KELLY, or CONNOR, < fcc., o 254, convicted at Downpatrick, county Down, at the Summer Assizes. on the 14th July, 1888, for horse stealing and previous conviction, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitade:— 49 years of age on conviction, single, is a ( owl dealer; born in Dublin; has no fixed plaoa of residence; his friends reside in London; brown hair, blue eyes, brown eyebrows, large nose, medium mouth, sallow com- plexion, round visage, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high ; two sailors and two flags on left arm. faded tattooing back of left hand; yacht and faded tattdoi on right arm, wrist, and back of hand. Thi3 man was released from Mountjoy Prison licence, 6th December, 1892, and went to Belfi the 7th instant, he reported that he was reside at Huddersfield, Yorkshire, bat h reported himself at the latter place, an whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he sfco under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 11 a, Penal Servitude Act, 1891. Description of PATRICK LAWLESS, native of Dermotstown, who stands charged with having, on the 7th day Of December, J 892, in the barony of Balrothery East, parish of Balscadden, attempted to commit rape:— Down- looking appearanoe, large tooth right side of upper jaw; thick nose, pale oomplexio*, bread face, stoat make, 5 feet 8 inches high, abont 18 years of age, very fair hair 5 wore a gray tweed cap, frkee ooat, dark tweed troweero, and tweed vest; is a labourer. Murphy and Sons," for Bile of butter, eggs, & c., arrested and remanded in Enniskillen, on the charge cf obtaining goods by false pretences. Description of PATRICK SHEA ( Mother's sur- name Sullivan), who stands charged with having, on the 3rd day cf January, 1893, in the barony of Iveragh, parish of Pricr, murdered John M'Carthy, of Lahorn South, by stabbing him with a knife, and seriously wounded Patrick M'Carthy his brother, of same place, by stabbing;— Believed to have old- cut mark on fore- head at root of hair, dark eyes, thick noee, lreeh or sallow complexion, full face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 22 years of age, dark hair; wore a sloached hat, black sack coat, gray tweed trowsers, black vest. Kilkenny Description of LAURENCE ARCHER, native of Kilkenny, who stands chined with having, cn the 28th November, 1892, at Ceolhill, in the barony of Ida, parish of Rower, attempted to murder his wife, by cutting her throat :— Shaves all the face, except small sandy side whiskers, may have the marks of a dog's teeth on ona of his hands; gray eyes, short pointed nose, fair complexion, thin face, medium make, 6 feet 4 or 5 ' inches high, about 45 years of age, fair hairj wore a gray tweed cap, dark tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a farmer en I a woodran^ er. Description of a MAN, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 26th January, 1893, in the borough of Limerick, parish of St Michael's, stolen a mare, the prop4rty of John Rainsford, of Clonkeen, Barrington's Bridge Company, Limerick:— Rod complexion, long thin face, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 26 years of age, foxy moustache; wore a cap and dark clothes; appeared like a tidy farmer's son. Description of JAMES M'PEAKE ( mother's surname M'Kenna), native of Ballymacpeake, who stands charged with having, on the 7th November, 189 ® , in the barcny of loughinsholin. parish of Maghera, seriously assaulted and inflicted grievous bodily harm on one, Henry Mulholland, thereby placing his life in danger:— Very flat feet, kneekneed; gray or blue eyes5 ( Sightly cocked ^ nosa, fair com- plexion, thin face, alight make, S feet 5 inches high, about 20 years of age, brown hair; wore a black cap, dark tweed coat and trousers. Tyrone, - Description of JAMES COLLINS, alias BEATTY, supposed to be a native of Glasgow, who stands changed with having, on the 15th December, 1892, in the barony of Strabane upper, parish of Badoney Lower, unlawfully stolen £ 17, in single notes, and a small single- barrelled pistol from the house of one Daniel M'Goldrick ( small farmer), with whom he was a hired servant:— Two upper front teeth black, brown eyes, regular ' nose, pale complexion, soft white face, slight make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 16 years of age, very black hair ; wore a two peaked whitish cap, dark sack coat and old dark trowsers, patched on seat with corduroy ; is a farm servant. Description of JOHN FLEMING, native of Wick- low, who standi charged with having, on the 23rd October, 1892, in the baron/ of South Ballinacor, parish of Ballinacor, seriously assaulted Bernard Whelan, of Enockanooker, by striking him on thf head with a stick, thereby placing his life in danger : Lear s forward when walking, usually keeps bis hands in trowsers pockets, shaves all his face, except moustache which is fair, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, regular face, rather stout make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 30 years of age, fair hair; wore a dark jerry hat, light tweed roat, trowsers, and vest. Frequents the fairs in counties Carlew, Queen's, and Wicklow. The Sergeant at Knockanana holds a warrant for his arrest. Arklow, 18th Dec, 1892. ( 19686 c.— 8143.) JAMES WELLS ( obtaining money by false pre- tences), hue- and- Cry, 23rd August, not arrested. ( 16060 1472). DUBLIN METROPOLITAN Police 6 Division. Particulars relative to Prisoner JAMES FOX, committed 27th December, 1892, for being drunk and disorderly and assault on Police, for examination at Ennis Petty Sessions on 30th December. 1892 :— 19 years of age, can read and write, is a Soman Catholic, single, is a whitewasher and plasterer; born at Ennis, county Clare; resided before conviction at Ennis, wbero his friends reside; brown hair, brown eyes, light brown eyebrows, ordinary or regular nose, ordinary or regular month, fresh complexion, small visage, slight make, 5 feet 5 inches high; has a cast in right eye. This man was committed to Ennis lock- up on the 27th December, 1892, and escaped therefrom about 4.15 o'clock, P. M., on the following day, 28th Deoemher. He was to have been brought up at Ennis Petty Sessions on the 80th December, on a charge of drunk and disorderly conduct and assaulting the Police. ( 527 H. C.) Description of CHARLES FLUDGATE, who stands charged with stealing, on S9th nit,, a horse, saddle, and bridle front Portobello Barracks, Dublin, the property of tbe Commander- in- Chief of Her Majesty's Forces j— He is 24 years old, S feet 4 Inches high, medium make, dark hair and complexion, shaved face except small dark moustache; when last seen was dressed in a brown jerry hat, a light colour check lounge suit, and black cloth top eoat; is an Army Reservist and a native of Dublin. Warrant in the bands of the Chief Superintendent; Dublin Castle. ( 523 h. C*) CHARLES MACDOUGALL ( theft), not arrested, Hae- and- Cry, 2nd December, 1892. Description of WILLIAM JAMES AINSBURY, native place supposed to be Ireland, known in Dublin, 30 to 35 jears of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, fresh com- plexion, light brown bair with moustache; plays the cornet; his wife supposed to bs in Dublin; wore dark clothing, low black felt hat and lace- np boots ; assault- ing a patient in the Asylum at Fulbourn, on the 5th November, 1892, vhan an attendant. Wanted, at this office, on Warrant, charged with stealing, at Newton- le- Willows, £ 189 (£ 174 in gold, and £ 15 in ailver), which he was entrusted with to take to the Bank at Newton- le- Willows on the 17th instant, but absconded with the money:— THOMAS SHERWOOD, 26 years of age, 5 feet 1 or 2 inches high, dark complexion, dark hair, small dark moustache, large red nose, scar centre of forehead, and over left eye; wore a light plaid coat and vest, sky blue trow sere, with white stripe, light cloth cap, and strong laced- up boots; is a labourer or grocers assistant, delivering goods with horse and cart; native of Liverpool; was convicted there on 24th June, 1879, of stealing 6s., and sentenced te ten days' imprisonment, and 5 years' in a reformatory. At that time his father, Thomas Sherwood, a saddler, resided at 52, Cockerell- street, Liverpool. He left NewtOwn le- Willows, accompanied by a roan, named Francis Thomas Allen, a pork butcher:— 22 years of age, S feet 6 inches high, fresh com- plexion, light brown hair, gray eyes, no whiskers or moustache; wore a brown suit and cap ; has lived in London. His father, Thomas Allen, is a pork butcher, at Queen- street, Derby. The above reward will be paid by Mr. John Howe, of Earlestown, for information that will lead to the arrest of Sherwood and recovery of the money, or in proportion to the amount recovered. Strongly suspected fcr theft of theabove:— THOM AS HARRISON, a miner, 26 years of age, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, fresh com- plexion, red hair and moustache, otherwise shaved, bow legs; dressed in a single- peaked tweed cap, red and black cravat, black cord cloth jacket and vest, striped tweed trowsers, and light lacing boots, a native of Airdrie. It is said that he wrought with A. and J. Stewart, Clyde Tube Works, Coatbridge, 6 years ago, also with the Allow Coal Company about June, 1892. Has a brother- in- law named William Watt, a labourer, residing at Dummiedykes, near Edinburgh.
