Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whoso apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, and by tho nauio of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of thi; nature unless they have tho Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. , *„• Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this information the mistake cannot bo rectified. Description of PATRICK HEFFERNAN, native of Whitechurch, ccunty Cork, who stands charged with having, < n the 2nd August, 1892, in the barony of East Muskerry, parish of Garrycloyne, committed an indecent assault on Ellen Bradley, 14 jears of age:— Gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, Medium make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 50 years of age, dark hair, wears all his beard and moustache, which is light brown; wore a round hat, gray coat, corduroy trowsers, and gray vest; is a labourer. Description of JAMES HARKIN, native of Ray, who stands charged with having, on the 10th day of August, 1892, in the barony of Kilmacrenan, parish of Raymonterdoney, stolen a mare, the property of his father, Thomas Harkin, which it is believed he sold at the fair of Creeslough, on 10th instant:— Shaves all his face except moustache, which is small and fair, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 30 years of age, very tair hair; wore a gray flannel coat, corduroy trowsers, and gray flannel vest; is a labourer. Description of JAMES NELSON ( supposed ficti- tious), who stands charged with having, on the 25th August, 1892, in the barony of Lower Castlereagh, parish of Holywood, stolen a coat, the property of Robert Thompson, from his ( Thompson's) dwelling- house, where he obtained lodgings by falsely stating he was a telegraph official engaged in making altera- tions in the telegraph line:— Tattoo mark on one wrist, which one uncertain; brown eyes, aquiliae nose, very sallow complexion, tbin face, slight make, 5 feet 8 ipches higb, about 28 years of age, dark brown hair; woriacbeck tweed cap, black coat, gray trowsers with black strips, black vest with sleeves; stated he was a telegraph line repairer; had an English ascent. Description of JOHN WILSON ( mother's surname not known, bnt resides at No. 8, South King- street, Dublin) native of Glasgow, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 15th May, 1892, in the barony of Newcastle, parish of Kilcoole, being' con- cealed in Bromley Demesne, under circumstances denoting that he was there for the purpose of committing a felony, and unable to give a good account of himself, lodging in the open air, and without any visible means of subsistence, and escaping from custody of police :— Blue or gray eyes, pale complexion, regular face, stoat make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 35 years of age; wore an Old dark hard hat, long dark coat, light trowsers. Speaks with a Sootch accent; is known to the police in counties of Dublin, Wicklow, and Wex- ford ; is a tramp. Warrant issued. Bray, 1st June, 1892. ( 16010 c.— 1482.) JAMES WELLS ( obtaining money by false pre- tences), Hue- and- cry, 23rd August, not arrested. ( 16060 o.— 1672). I G Division. Particulars relative to convict JOSEPH M'DONNELL, c. 325, convicted at Castlebar county Mayo, Summer Assizes, on 10th July, 1' 89, for rape, and sentenced to 5 years penal servitude:— 22 years of age on conviction, single, is a blacksmith, born at Clare- morris, resided before conviction at Clarenorris, where his friends reside; brown hair, blue eyes, brown eye- brows, medium nose, regalar moath, pale complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 6 feet inches high; cut on forehead, on top of head, right side, and on poll, mole and scar on chin, large scar on right wrist, flesh mark on left wrist. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 7th April, 1892, and went to Llaremorris. He left his residence on 25th nit., without reporting to the R. I. C., and is stated to have gone to Glasgow. If arrested he should be proceeded againrt under 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112, sac 6, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. 8th September, 1892. ( 4S8 H. C.) Particulars relative to Convict MARGARET STEWART, convicted at Newry Quarter Sessions, county Down, on 29th October, 1887, for larceny after a previous conviction for felony, and sentenced to 7 years penal servitude:— 48 years of age on conviction, single, is a Mill worker, born at Mullabrack, county Armagh, resided at Mawbawn, county Armagh before conviction, her friends reside at 22, Lagan " View- street, Belfast : — Brown and gray hair, hazal eyes, light eye- brows, long nose, small mouth, sallow complexion, lone visage, slight maSie, 4 feet 10 inches high; first and second right fingers and fir » t left finger crooked at first joint. This woman was released from Grangegorman Prison on licence, 27 June, 1892, and went to reside in Belfast. She left her late residence, Drumgaw, county Armagh, on 9th ultimo, w. thout reporting to Polioe, and her present whereabouts is unknown. R., who stands charged with having, on the 19th August, 1892, in the barony of Clonlisk, parish of Templebarry, forcibly entered the dwelling- house of John Dwan, between 3 and 6 o'clock, P. M., and stolen therefrom two £ 5 notes and one £ 1 note, and an old pocket- book:— Gray eyes, regular nose, fresh com- plexion, round face, stoat make, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, about 22 years of age, light brown hair; wore a dark tweed suit, plaid pattern; is a labourer. D « i> er{ ptlontof MARY WARD ( mother's surname Walsh), native of Drumbrenned, who stands charged with having, on the morning of 4th August. 1892, in the barony of Leitrim, parish of Kiltoghert, stolen two cows, the property of Michael Ward:— Slightly pock- pitted, brown eyes, cocked nose, dark complexion, round faoe, stout make, 4 feet 2 inches higb, about 32 ears of age, brown hair; supposed to have worn a rown dress, and dark gray shawl; is a farmer's daughter. ( 17424 c.— 4755 ) Description of a WOMAN, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on tbe 17th of August, 1892, in the barony of Eliogarty, parish of Templemore, unlawfully abandoned her female infant, aged about fourteen days, so as to endanger its life:— Gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, full face, medium make, 5 feet 2 inches high, about 20 years of age, platted dark hair; wore a red dress, new fawn coloured shawl, black sailor hat, trimmed with red ribbon, striped petticoat, and shoes; may give her name as Ryan. Warrant for her arrest in the hands of the District Inspector at Tullamore, Templemore, 21st August, 1892. ( 17284 c— 4377.) Description of PATRICK MURPHY ( mother's surname Moran, native of Birr, King's I Limerick. Description of DENIS MAHONY, native of Mungret, who stands charged with having, on the 6th September, 1892, in the barony of Pubblebrien, parish of Mungret, seriously assaulted James Shine, Esquire, J. p., by striking him on the head with a dung- fork :— Slightly bow- legged, high cbeek bones, long nose, slightly hooked and pointed at top, thick brown moustache, speaks with a long tough accent, blue or gray eyes, long nose, sandy complexion, long thin face, stout make, 6 f. et 7 inches high, about 45 years of age; wore a black soft hat, blue double- breasted pilot coat, sack make, brown trowsers; is a labourer. WILLIAM FITZGERALD ( charged with murder) Hue- and- Cry, 12th May, has not been arrested. ( 98360 c.— 86735.) native of Ballycapple, Cloughjordan, who stands charged with having, on the 17th March, 1892, at Bantis, in the barony of Uooer Ormond, parish of Ballygibbon, committed a rape on Ellen Guilfoyle, aged 75 years:— Round shoulders, shaves all his face except small side whiskers which are sandy, gray eyes, rather flat nose, fresh complexion, broad face, stoat make, 6 feet 9 inches high, about 32 years of age, brown hair; wore a slouched black hat, blue tweed coat, trowsers, and vest,; is a farmer's S9n; will likely endeavour to emigrate. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on 21st April, 1892. on licence, and went to reside at Qalway. He has failed to report himself since 19th May, and ia believed to have gone to Liverpool. If arrested he should be proceeded against under 84 and 35 Vic., cap. 112, See. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1( 91. lot September, 1893. ( 496 H. C.) Description of WILLIAM MULLEN, no fixed reaidei. ee, who stands charged with having atolen, on the 11th August, 1892, a bay. mare, value £ 11, from Chester- road, Ranelagh, county Dublin, the propei ty of Mr. Alexander Field, of said place:— 2fl) years old, 5 feet 8 inches high, medium build, dark hair cut abort, no beatd, whiskers, or moustache fair conplexion, pearl on right eye; wore a dark tweed suit, crat jacket make, strong laced boots. Has relatives residing in Drogheda; was last seen on 12th August, 1892, in the neighbourhood of Rath- farnham, county Dublin, having the mare in bis possession. Warrant in the hands of the Chief Superintendent. Dublin, 17th Auguit, 1892. ( 493 H. C.) Particulars relative to convict THOMAS GERAGHTY, c 269, convicted at Dublin City Sessions, county Dublin, on 2nd October, ' 888, for uttering bace coin, and sentenced to 5 j ears' penal servitude:— 37 years of age on conviction, read and write is a Roman Catholic, married, is a labourer, prison trade oakum pickirg and laundry, born in Cuffe- st, Dublin ; resided before conviction in Dublin, where lis friends reside; brown hair, gray eyes, brown eyebrows, small nose and moutb, fresh complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet inches high ; lost one front tooth lower; cut- mark top of he< id; T. C. tattooed on right forearm; heart on left forearm. This convict was released on licence from Mountjoy Prison on 80th June, 1892, and went to reside at 174, Church- street, Dublin. He left hia residence without noticing the fact to the police. His present whereabouts are unknown. If arrested he should be proceeded against under f 4 and 35 Vic., rap. 112. sec. 5, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. General Prisons Board, Dublin Castle, 18th August, 1892. ( 491 H. C.) Particulars relative to convict PETER POR- TEOUS, convicted at Quarter Sessions for rity of Londonderry, county Londonderry, on 23rd October, 18f8, for larceny, and sentenced to 5 yeara :— 61 years of age on conviction, read and write, belongs to the Irish Clurch, married, is a dealer, prison trade oakum picking ard tailoring; born in Dublin; resided before conviction at Londonderry ; his friends retide at Salford, Manchester ; gray hair, gray eyes, brown eyebrows, large nose, small mouth, fresh complexion, oval vuage, proportionate make, 5 feet inches high ; cut- mark on poll, right side. This man was released on licence from Maryboro' Prison on 22nd July, 1892. He left his residence, 5, Sackville- plice, Dublin, without notifying the fact to the police. His present whereabouts are unknown. If arrested he should be proceeded against under Act 34 and 35 Vic., chap. 112, sec. 5, and Act 54 and 55 Vic., clap. 6#, sec. 4.
