DE COBAIN, native of Belfast, who stands charged that he did, within the past two jean, at Belfast, oommit an act of gross indecency with another male person, and within the tame time, and at the place aforesaid did incite divers other male persons to commit sodomy:— Walks erect, square sh Carlow. Description of ALICE KANE, native of Hackets- town, who stands charged with having, between 29th July and 1st August, 1892, in the barony of Rathvilly, parish of Cloomore, stolen from the dwelling- house of Patrick Shannon, of Eaglehill, an old silver watch, a Waterbury watch, a gold keeper- ring, a silver Albert chain, twisted cable pattern, with tassel, silver key and silver coin attached ; a black ostrich feather, a pair of woman's shoes ( old), and a woman's night- dress; all value for about £ 2. ( The two watches and ring have been recovered):— Lost an upper front tooth, gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round face, very Btout make, 5 feet high, about 23 years of age, brown hair; wore a black hat, turned up at poll, light- coloured tweed cape, light dress, and elastic boots; is a domestic servant. Description of MARY FOLEY, alias MARGARET DOHERTY, native of Lismore, county Waterford, who stands charged with having, on the 12th July, 1892, in the barony of Barrymore, parish of Carrig- twohill, converted to her own us a the sum of £ 5, which was given to her by her mistress, Miss Fitzgerald, of Ballintubrid, to be delivered to anotber personr— Very small feet; blue eyes, regular nose, tresb complexion, red fat face, stout make, 5 feet 4 inches high, about 20 years of age, light brown wavy hair; wore a pink blouse, dark shawl, whitish apron, no head drees; is a domestic servant. Particulars relative to Convict PATRICK GIL- CHRIST, c 376, convicted at Naas, county Kildare, at Assizes, on 5th March, 1890, for larceny, and sentenced to 5 years' penal servitdue, reduced to 3 years:— 28 years of age on conviction, tingle, is a tailor, born in Dublin, no fixed residjnce, his friends reside in Dublin; light brown hair, gray eyes, light brown eyebrows, medium note, regular mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feet 1 inch high; abscess- mark on left cheek, cut- mark on first and second left fingers, cut- mark on right wrist. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 30th May, 1892. He left Delgany, county Wicklow, on 1st instant, without reporting to the police, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of the Act 84 and 85 Vic., cap. 112, as amended by Penal Servitude Act, 1891. ( 480 H. C.) Description of PATRICK MURPHY ( mother's surname Moran, native of Birr, King's County), native of Ballycapple, Cloughjordan, who stands charged with having, on the 17th March, 1892, at Bantis, in the barony of Uoper Ormond, parish of Ballygibbon, committed a rape on Ellen Guilfoyle, aged 75 years:— Round shoulders, shaves all his face except small side whiskers which are sandy, gray eyes, rather flat noee, fresh complexion, broad face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 32 years of age, brown hair; wore a slouched black hat, blue tweed coat, trowsers, and vest,; is a farmer's son; will likely endeavour to emigrate. Description of RICHARD ENGLISH ( mother's surname Carey), native of Carrowkeale, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd of Jaly, 1886, in the barony of Kilnamanagh Lower, parish of Donohill, seriously assaulted one James Gleeson, by striking him with a stone, from the effects of which he died after- wards :— Cut- matk on back of head, high cheek bones, brown moustache and side whiskers as far down as ears, long neck, gray eyes, long nose, fresh complexion, thin face, active make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 25 or 26 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a soft felt hat, gray tweed coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. Description of KATE WHITE ( mother's surname Margaret White), native of Dromore, who stands charged with having, on the 11th day of May, 1892, in the barony of east Omagh, parish of Dromore, concealed the birth of her female infant, and by neglect and exposure caused its death :— Brown eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, thia face, medium make; 5 feet high, about 25 years of age, black hair; wore a black hat, dark dress, and black jacket; is a servant. Warrant in the hands of Police at Dromore. Omagh, 18th May, 1892. ( 15732 c.— 1003.> Description of JEREMIAH FINEGAN, alias WALTER FERGUSON, native of Stradone, county Cavan, who has been returned for trial on the charge of having, on the night of 29th or morning of 30th April, 1892, in the barony of West Omagh, parish of Skirts of Urney, broken into the Manse in connection with the [ 2nd Castlederg Presbyterian Church, and stolen therefrom 26 keys and a piece of marble;— Has a good address and appears to have got a good education; blue eyes, straight nose, fair complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 50 years of age, sandy hair turning gray; wore a brown tweed cap, old drab coat, dark tweed trowsers, and black vest; is a tramp. THOMAS CASHEL ( stealing postal order), Hue- and- Cry, 16th February, 1892, not ( 12^^- 94555.) Wicklow. Description of ANDREW BOTTS ( mother's surname Kavanagh), native of Enniskerry, who stands charged with having, on the 21st May, 1892, in the barony of Rathdown, parish of Powerscourt, com- mitted a burglary in a dwelling house belonging to Mr. Francis Buckley, Hotelkeeper, Enniskerry; Botts was bailed to take his trial at Wicklow Quarter Sessions on 16th June, 1892, but foiled to surrender to his recognizance :— Small dark gray eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, round face, siout make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 35 or 40 years of age, dark hair ; wears all his beard which is dark, shaves upper lip; wore a dark frock coat, dark tweed trowsers and vest; may bs found wearing moleskin trowsers, dark coat and vest, and shoes without nails ; is a labourer t is suspected of being either in Dublin or LiverpooL Warrant for his arrest lies with Sergeant Hughes, Enniskerry. Description of JAMES WELLS, supposed a native of England, who stands charged with having, on divers occasions during the month of May, 1892, in the barony of Rathdown, parish of Bray, county Dublin,- unlawfully by fraud and false pretences obtained money and goods amounting to £ 3 14*. 6d from Isaac Epstein, with intent to defraud:— slight limp when walking, speaks with an English accent, smart appear- ance ; gray or blue eyes, regular nose, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 30 years of age, light- coloured hair; wore a brown felt hat, blue cloth jacket, moleskin trowsers, blue striped vest, white muffler, or tie, and new laced boots; is a navvy, generally at public works. Warrant issued. Bray, 3rd June, 1892. ( 16050 1572).) Description of JOHN WILSON ( mother's surname not known, but resides at No. 8, South King- street, Dublin), native of Glasgow, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 15th May, 1892, in the barony of Newcastle, parish of Kilcoole, being con- cealed in Bromley Demesne, under circumstances denoting that he was there for the purpose of committing a felony, and unable to give a good account of himself, lodging in the open air, and without any visible means of subsistence, and escaping from custody of police :— Blue or gray eyes, pale complexion, regular face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, abont 35 years of age; wore an old dark hard bat, long dark coat, light trowsers. Speaks with a Scotch accent; is known to the police in counties of Dublin, Wicklow, and Wex- ford ; is a tramp. Warrant issued. Bray, 1st June, 1892. ( 16010 o.— 1482.) DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE. Particulars relative to Convict PATRICK FINN, convicted at Wicklow, at Winter Assizes ( Leinster Winter Assize County), on 19th December, 1887, for rape, and sentenoed to 5 year's penal servitude :— 2H years on conviction, read and write, is a Roman Catholic, single, is a labourer; born in Dublin; resided before oonviotion in Tullow, county Carlow, where his friends reside:— Dark brown hair, gray eyes, dark brown eyebrows, medium nose, regular moutb, sallow complexion, oval visage, proportionate make, 5 feat 4f inches hign ; M. F., AS., P. F., A. F., M. H., anchor, A. S., P. F., on left forearm; AF. on left npper arm ; P. F., P. H. on back of left hand ; three rows of dots round left wrist ; arckor on middle finger; and ring fourth finger left hand; M. x H. x M. X H. right forearm. This convict was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, 2nd July, 169J. He reported bimself to the Constabulary at Naas, on 6th July, and left for Clonmel on 7th Jnly, but did not report himself at the latter place. His present whereabouts are If arrested he should be proceeded against under Act 54 and 55 Vic., cap. 69 ( Penal Servitude Act, 1891), section 4, sab- section 1. 4th August, 1892. ( 488 h. O.) Smee, the landlord:— A strong hay hone cob, about 14 hands, and 9 years old, black Iegp, big feet, ecar inside near hock, hairy legs, white streak down face, short mane and tail, tie cob is a little over behind; value £ 12 or £ 14. Dog- cart, flight build, yellow wheels, black body, picked out red, blue cloth cushions, name of Tarner on tie caps of tbe wheels, the springs are very narrow but strong. Harness is brass mounted, excepting hauws, wHch are plated, the tracs bave chains at ends. By a man about SO years of age, about 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, blotchey face, pray hair cut short, • ery long features; dressed in large light plaid suit, bard black felt hat; ha* a hole cut in one of his shoes His name is believed to be Lorkin, he beloogs to London ; us'd to travel hawking cheap cloth, he now hawks imitation oil paintings; and had been staying a few days st the Two Brewers. Particulars of a person who is in custody, convicted by Court Martial, 20th August, 1891, for a military offence, will be discharged from prison 19th August, 1892, believed to be now wanted for embezzlement, supposed in Lancashire; also for fraudulent enlistment in several militia reeiments, WILLIAM OATHAM, native ot Manchester:— Small scar near right eir, and 1 centre of right cheek, and 1 centre of forehead, vaccination on left arm, 21 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches higb, fresh complexion, light brown hair, blue eyes. Wanted, on a Sheriff's Warrant, for tbeft of £ 25 :- JAMES GILMOUR, 16 years of age, about 5 feet 4 inches high, well made, dark hair, fresh complexion; good- looking; dressed in a blue serge jacket suit, Lorne shoes, and light tweed cap ; resided with his mother at Ro. 212, Paisly- road, of this city. The accused was a message boy, in the employment of James Gemmell and Co., Tea Merchants, Maderia- court, Glasgow, and on 25th instant received the money to pay duty on tea, which he failed to do, bat absconded. Has been at sea for s) me tine, and will probably endeavour to emigrate. Please cause diligent search and inquiry to be made for the accused at hotels, shipping offices, and other likely places, and if found arrest, and wire the Chief Constable here, when he will be sent for. Moore, which was stolen from his house at Morrison's- quay, parish of Holy Trinity, barony of Cork, on the night of 6th Angast, 1892:— 20 silver- plated dessert forks, some having for crest a stag, others a boar with arrov through back, others plain ; 2 silver- plated fish forks, 6 silver- plated fish knives and forks, the handle and blade in one piece, with some handles ribbed; 2 silver- plated dessert knives and one fork, with ivory handles, crest Griffin's head on handle, and letter L under; 22 silver- plated tea spoons, 5 silver- plated butter knives and flat bandies, some beaded ; 10 silver- plated egg spoons. Michael Monaghan, Philip O'Reilly, and one of Mr. Monaghan's children for £ 50; two grants of administration of the property of the late Philip O'Reilly, cf Drumeel, taken out by Mary S. Monaghan, one of them in the Cavan Registry, the other grant relative to shares in A. Guinness's and Co.; an old pocket- book, with J. P. band, containing letters and various bills and papers referring to Mr. Monaghan's affairs; a certificate, Government 2$ Consolidated Stock for £ 400, another for £ 300, both dated 15th June, 1892; cash one £ 5 note, 12 single notes, and about £ 10 in gold and silver; number of notes not known.
