I All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Cry are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Communication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn; but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General. Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a charge of Misdemeanour should be accompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued, « nd by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this - aature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. %* Should irregularities arise in the delivery of tha Hue- and- Cry, it will be necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this Information the mistake cannot bo rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform fhe Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, of the Abolition of Gaols, Stations, Sic., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Hue- Armagh, Description of ISAAC MILLER, native of Russia, who stands charged with having, within the past six months, in the barony of O'Neiland East, parish of Shankill, embezzled certain sums of money received by him for his employer:— Dark eyes, broad pro- minent ncse, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 2 incheB higb, about twenty years of age, dark hair ; wore a low jerry hat, black jacket coat, dark trowsers and vest; is a pedlar, and has a certificate ; speaks English badly. Description of WILLIAM POWER, native of Ardvullane, who stands charged with having, on the 28th day of May, 1892, at Lattin, in the barony of Clanwilliam, parish of Lattin, district of Tipperary, seriously assaulted John Dannaher, by kicking him on the head, thereby placing his life in danger: Dark eyes, cocked nose, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 18 years of age, black hair; wore a gray cap, black coat, gray trowsers, and black vest; is a farmer's son. Description of PATRICK MORPHY ( mother's surname Moran, native of Birr, King's County), native of Ballycapple, Cloughjordan, who stands charged with having, on tho 17th March, 1892, at Bantis, in the barony of TJooer Ormond, parish of Ballygibbon, committed a rape on Ellen Guilfoyle, aged 75 years:— Round shoulders, shaves all his face except small side whiskers which are sandy, gray eyes, rather flat noee, fresh complexion, broad face, stout make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 32 years of age, brown hair; wore a slouched black hat, blue tweed coat, trowsers, and vest,; is a farmer's son; will likely endeavour to emigrate. ( 14616 0— 862 ) Description of RICHARD ENGLISH ( mother's surname Carey), native of Cairowkeale, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd of Jaly, 1886, in the barony of Kilnamanagh Lower, parish of Donohill, seriously assaulted one James Gleeson, by striking him with a stone, from the effects of which he died after- wards :— Cut- mark on back of head, high choek bones, brown moustache and side whiskers as far down as ears, long neck, gray eyes, long nose, fresh complexion, thin face, active make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 25 or 26 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a soft felt hat, gray tweeid coat, trowsers, and vest; is a labourer. Description of JEREMIAH FINEGAN, alias WALTER FERGUSON, native of Stradone, county Cavan, who has been returned for trial on the charge of having, on the night of 29th or morning of 30th April, 1892, in the barony of West Omagh, parish of Skirts of Urney, broken into tha Manse in connection with the 2cd Castlederg Presbyterian Churcb, and stolen therefrom 26 keys and a piece of marble;— Has a good address and appears to have got a good education; blue eyes, straight nose, fair complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 50 years of age, sandy hair turning gray j wore a brown tweed cap, old drab coat, dark tweed trowsers, and black voBt; is a tramp. V Description of JAMES WELLS, supposed a native of England, who stands chargdd with having, on divers occasions daring the month of May, 1892, in the barony of Rathdown, parish of Bray, county Dublin, unlawfully by fraud and false pretences obtained money and goods amounting to £ 3 14s. 6d from Isaac Epstein, with intent to defraud:— slight limp when walking, speaks with an English accent, smart appear- ance ; gray or blue eyes, regular nose, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 11 inches high, about 30 years of age, light- coloured hair; wore a brown felt hat, blue cloth jacket, moleskin trowsers, blue striped vest, white muffler, or tie, and new laced boots; is a navvy, generally at public works. Description of JOHN WILSON ( mother's surname not known, but resides at No. 8, South King- itreet, Dublin) native of Glasgow, who stands charged with having, on the night of the 15th May, 1892, in the barony of Newcastle, parish of Kilcoole, being con- cealed in Bromley Demesne, under circumstances denoting that he was there for the purpose of committing a felony, and unable to give a good account of himself, lodging in the open air, and without any visible means of subsistence, and escaping from custody of police :— Blue or gray eyes, pale complexion, regular face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches bigh, abmt 85 years of age; wore an old dark hard hat, long dark coat, light trowsers. Speaks with a Scotch accent; is knowa to the policj in counties of Dublin, Wicklow, and Wex- ford ; is a tramp. Warrant issued. Bray, lst June, 1892. ( 16010 c.— 1482.) DUBLIN METROPOLITAN POLICE. G Division. Particulars relative toConvict BERNARD BOYLE, convicted at Belfast, county Antrim, oi 19th March, 1884, for larceny from the person, after previous con- viction, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude; 51 years of sge on conviction, married, is a hackler, born in Belfast, where he resided before conviction, and where his friends reside:— Light brown hair, gray eyes, sandy eyebrows, large nose, large mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feat 6 inches high; varicose veins in legs, two flags and a gun on left side, B. B. E. R , two flags and anchor on right arm, B. B., Crucifix and heart on left arm, bracelet on each wrist, bald top of head. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, on 1 st April, 1892. and went to Belfast. He left his residenca on the 18th ulto. without notify- ing to the Police, and his present whereabouts is un- known. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 26th May, 1892. ( 477 H. C,) Particulars relative to convict JAMES M'DON- NELL c 84, convicted at Dublin City Commission, on 28th Ootober, 1886, for housebreaking and larceny, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude :— 35 years of age on conviction, married, is a labourer, born at Dublin, where he resided before conviction, and where bis friends reside; dark hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, small nose, small mouth, sallow complexion, round visage, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high; eat on top of head, raptured left side. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on licence, 29th February, 1892, and emigrated. He recently returned, but up to the present has not re- ported himself to the Police, and his whereaboats is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 28 April, 1892. ( 471 H. C.) Licensed convict, JOHN JAMES MORIARTY, Hue- and- Cry, 24th May, not arrested. Greves," and gave his address, 7, Albert- road, Brighton, and Holmleigh House, Queen's- road, Reading, which is false, about 27 years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, dark hair with slight dark moustache, ruddy com- plexion with bright colour on cheekbones, gentlemanly appearance, dressed in black morning coat, blue and gray striped trowsers, black Oxford hat, and was wearing brown gloves:— On Friday, 13th instant, a dark chestnut mare, " Sutton," marked white below the bocks on both hind legs; white star on face; height about 15.1 or 2 hands; a set of brass- mounted harness. No. 18 on the bridle and pad, and stamped " A. DuPont;" and a dog- cart, marked " Hunt & Co." on the box of the wheels, painted dark green, picked out with black, with tail- board, dark green cloth cushions, and indiarubber mat, front seat, but no back seat or lamps; whip, maker's name stamped " Schomberg," and branded " A. ANIMALS STOLEN. ROYAL IRISH CONSTABULARY. Longford. Description of three calves, the property of Patrick Murphy of Briskill, which was stolen from tha lands of Briskill, parish of Clongish, barony of Longford, on night of 2£ th or morning of 26 th day of May, 1892:— 1. A bull calf, 5 months old, pale yellow colour, with white spots, short horns, good condition; value £ 8. 2. A bull calf, 2 months old, roan colour, with white and yellow spots, iair condition; value £ 3. 3. A heifer calf, 3 months old, mixed gray and white colour, fair condition ; value £ 2 10;. Description of a calf, the property of Michael Ahern, of Ballymackeogh, which was stolen from off Lis farm, in the parish of Kilvellane, and barony of Owney and Arra, on the night of 27th May, 1892, viz.:— A blood red bullock calf, lately cut, in fair condition, white under belly, coarse about tail, and weak over loin « , seven weeks old; value for £ 1 10s. Description of a silver cup, plate, and spoon, the property of Venerable Archdeacon James George Scott, which were stolen out of his house at Bray Great, parish of Bray, barony of Rathdown, on the night of the 8th or morning ot the 9th of April, 1892: — A small silver cup, 8£ or 4 inches high, nearly hemispherical on a hexagonal foit, and a knot on middle of upright, engraved with " I. H. S." and other ornaments, gilt, but gilding was much worn; a silver plate, similar to foot or stand of cup, but 3 inohes wider in diameter, the centre of it gilt, but gilding was much worn, engraved on it " L H. 8.;" a small silver spcon for administering Sacrament in extreme cases, 3 inches long, and a cross on the top of the handle.
