ATIOKTS. | 5" All Notices intended for insertion in the Hue- and- Ory are to be transmitted under cover, addressed to the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle, authenticated by a Separate Con^ munication. No Description can be inserted unless an Information shall have been Sworn j but it is not necessary to forward the Informations to the Inspector- General, Notices respecting all Felonies and such Misdemeanours as are of an aggravated nature will be inserted. All Descriptions of persons whose apprehension is sought on a oliarge of Misdemeanour should be acoompanied by a statement that a Warrant has been issued and by the name of the person in whose hands it is. But the Constabulary should remember that they cannot arrest a person charged with an offence of this nature unless they have the Warrant in their possession when making the arrest. * » * Should irregularities arise in the delivery of the Hue- and- Ory, it will bo necessary to forward one of the covers, or give the number it bears, as without this information the mistake cannot bo rectified. Prison and Police Authorities are particularly requested to be good enough to inform the Inspector- General, Royal Irish Constabulary, Dublin Castle of tho abolition of Gaols, Stations, & c., and of any circumstances rendering the supply of the " Hue- and- Cry " no longer necessary. Dark eyes, broad pro- minent ncse, dark complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 2 inches high, about twenty years of age, dark bair; wore a low jerry hat, black jacket coat, dark trowsers and vest; is a pedlar, and has a certificate speaks English badly. Description of JEREMIAH FINEGAN, alias WALTER FERGUSON, native of Stradone, county Cavan, who bas been returned for trial on the charge of having, on the night of 29th or morning of 30th April, 1892, in the barony of West Omagh, parish of Skirts of Urney, broken into tha Manse in connection with the 2nd Castlederg Presbyterian Churcb, and stolen therefrom 26 keys and a piece of marble;— Has a good address and appears to have got a good education; blue eyes, straight nose, fair complexion, regular face, medium make, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, about 50 years of age, sandy hair turning gray ; wore a brown tweed cap, old drab coat, dark tweed trowsers, and black vest; is a tramp. Particulars relative to Convict BERNARD BOYLE, convicted at Belfast, county Antrim, oi 19th March, 1884, for larceny from the person, after previous con- viction, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude j 51 years of ege on conviction, married, is a hacU. r, born in Belfast, where he resided before conviction, and where his friends reside:— Light brown hair, gray eyes, sandy eyebrows, large nos « , large mouth, fresh complexion, oval visage, medium make, 5 feit 6 inches high; varicose veins in legs, two flags and a gun on left sid « , B. B. E. R , two flags and anchor on right arm, B. B., Crucifix and heart on left arm, bracelet on each wrist, bald top of head. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison on licence, on Ist April, 1892, and went to Belfast. He left his residence on the 18th ulto. without notify- ing to tbe Police, and his present whereabouts is un> known. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 26th May, 1892. ( 477 H. C) Particulars relative to Convict PATRICK FINN, convicted at Wicklow, on 19th Dec., 1887, for rape, and sentenced to 5 years penal servitude; 25 years of a^ e on conviction, single, is a labourer, bora at Dublia, resided at Tullow before conviction, his friends reside at Tullow, and Kilcool, county Wicklow ; dark brown hair, gray eye?, dark brown eyebrows, mediam nose, regular moutb, fallow complexion, oval visa re, pro- portionate make, 5 feet 4| inches fciph j M. F. A. S. P. ' F. M. H., anchor, A. S. P. F end several dots on fore- arm and back of left hand, M. X H. + M. x H. on right forearm. This man was released from Mountjoy Prison, on 11th April, 1892, and went to Man- chester. He reported himself at the Dublin Detective Office on 19th inst. on arrival from Liverpool, and stated he would notify his residence next day, but be has failed to do so, and his present whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt witb under the 5th section of the Act 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 26th May, 1892. ( I77 H. C.) Particulars relative to convict JAMES M'DON- NELL c 84, convicted at Dublin City Commission, on 28th October, 1886, for housebreaking and larceny, and sentenced to 7 years' penal servitude 35 years of age on conviction, married, is a labourer, born at Dublin, where he resided before conviction, and where bis friends reside; dark hair, hazel eyes, dark brown eyebrows, small nose, small mouth, sallow complexion, round visage, medium make, 5 feet 4 inches high; cut on top of head, ruptured left side. This man was released from Maryboro' Prison on licence, 29th February, 1892, and emigrated. He recently returned, bat up to the present has not re- ported himself to the Police, and his whereabouts is unknown. In the event of his arrest he should be dealt with under sec. 5 of 34 and 35 Vic., cap. 112. 28 April, 1892. ( 471 h. C.) Licensed convict, JOHN JAMES MORIARTY, Hue- and- Cry, 24th May, not arrested. Greves, ' and gave his address, 7, Albert- road, Brighton, and Holmleigh House, Queen's- road, Reading, which is false, about 27 years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches higb, dark hair with slight dark moustache, ruddy com- plexion with bright colour on cheekbones, gentlemanly appearance, dressed in black morning coat, blue and gray striped trowsers, black Oxford bat, and was wearing brown gloves:— On Friday, 13th instant, a dark chestnut mare, " Sutton," marked white below the bosks on both hind legs; white star on face; height about 15.1 or 2 hands; a set of brass- mounted harness. No. 18 on the bridle and pad, and stamped " A. DuPont;" snd a dog- cart, marked " Hunt & Co." on the box of the wheels, painted dark green, picked out with black, with tail- board, dark green clop cushions, and indiarubber mat, front seat, bat no back seat or lamps; whip, maker's name stamped " Sehomberg," and branded " A. Description of seven head of cattle, the properly of Patrick Rogers, of Liss, which were stolen from the lands of Liss, parish of Killsnena, barony of Upper Tulla, on the £ 0th day of May, 1892 :_ Five bullocks, rod and white colour, 3 years old; value each for £ 7. Description of a silver cup, plate, snd spoon, the property of Venerable Archdeacon James George Scott, which were stolen out of his honse at Bray Great, parish of Bray, barony of Rathdown, on the night of the 8th or morning ot the 9th of April, 1892: — A snail silver cup, or 4 inches high, nearly hemispherical on a hexagonal fo ) t, and a knot on middle of upright, engraved with " I. H. 8." and other ornaments, gilt, but gilding was much worn; a silver plate, similar to foot or stand of cup, but 3 inches wider in diameter, the centre of it gilt, but gilding was much worn, engraved on it " I. H. S.;" a small silver spron for administering Sacrament in extreme cases, 3 inches long, and a cross on the top of the handle.
