All announctmentt for inertia* TO the POLICI GAZBTTI, and all communication* upon them should BE addressed to THB EDITOB of THI POLICI GAZBTTI, NBW SCOTLAND YARD, LONDON, S. W. I. Particulars concerning persons whose apprehension it taught will be inserted in one ittue of the POLICI GAZSTTH, if they are sufficient to enable action to be taken upon them by another force. I Particulars as to stolen property will be likewise inserted in one issue, if sufficient to enabU tit article in question to be thereby identified. 4. In all eases where a reward is offered the name and address of some person responsible for tke payment must be given, and the exact conditions be clearly stated. i. Portraits of persons whose apprehension is sought for serious offences, and engravings of stolen property, will be prominently inserted, with detailed particulars, at a cost of 15 « . per portrait, and of 7s. 6d. per photograph or sketch of a stolen article, including the expense of engraving on wood. a. Every announcement, if for the apprehent ion of a person, must be guaranteed by the signature of an officer of not less rank than Superintendent; and, if the name of such person be required to U inserted, and no warrant is in force against him, the requisition must be signed hy the chief of police, or hit immediate deputy, of the county, city, or borough, as the case may be. T. Announcements concerning stolen property must be guaranteed by an officer of not lets rank " i Inspector, or analogous thereto. KBGULATIONS. 8. Announcements of all persons to be apprehended or of stolen property bear a number, and mrt alphabetically arranged by countiet. 9. The force which causes particulars concerning delinquents or stolen property to be inserted in the POLICE GAZBITE, must, on their apprehension or recovery, at ance transmit to the Editor notice of the fact, referring to the number of the announcement for insertion in the next itsut. 10. In all cases, the officer signing the request for insertion of any announcement, < nil it wholly responsible for any proceedmot whicn may result from such publication. 11. Announcements for the Friday issue should be forwarded so at to be received net Inter thm noon on Wednesday, and for the Tuesday edition not later than Saturday morning. All payments mutt be in advance, either at the office, New Scotland Yard, by cheque, crossed " Drummond Jf Co.," Pott Office Order payable at Charing Cross, Postal Order, or m Stampt. 13.
