All announcements for insertion in the POLICK GAZBTTB, and all communicationt up » n them should he addressed to THI EDITOB OP THI FOLIOS GAZBTTB, NBW SCOTLAND TABS, LOKDOX, S. W. J. Particulart concerning persons whose apprehension IT sought will be inserted in one issnt of the POLICB GAZBTTB, if they are sufficient to enable action to tie taken upon them by another force. $. Particulars as to stolen property will be likewise inserted in one issue, if sufficient U enable ike article in question to be thereby identified. 4. In all eases where a reward is offered the name and address of some person responsible for the payment must be given, and the exact conditions be clearly stated. i. Portraits of persons whose apprehension is sought for serious offences, and engravings of stolen property, will be prominently inserted, with detailed particulars, at a cost of 15/. per portrait, and of 7s. 6d. per photograph or sketch of a stolen article, including the expense of engraving on wood. 8. Every announcement, if for the apprehension of a person, must be guaranteed by the signature of an officer of not less rank than Superintendent; and, if the name of such person be required to be inserted, and no warrant is in force against him, the requisition must be signed by the chief officer of police, or his immediate deputy, of the county, city, or borough, as the cast may be. T. Announcements concerning stolen property must be guaranteed by an officer of not less rank than Inspector, or analogous thereto. 8. Announcements of all persons to be apprehended or of stolen property bear a number, and art alphabetically arranged by counties. 9. The force which causes particulars concerning delinquents or stolen property to be inserted in the POLICI GAZBITB, must, on their apprehension or recovery, at once transmit to the Editor notice of the fact, referring to the number of the announcement for insertion in the next is rut. 10. In all cases, the officer signing the request for insertion of any announcement, will it wholly responsible for any proceedings whicn may result from such publication. 11. Announcements for the Friday issue should be forwarded so as to be received net later than noon on f Vednesday, and for the Tuesday edition not later than Saturday morning. They must be clearly written on one side of the paper only, be in the usual form, and accompanied by m covering letter. 12. All payments must be in advance, either est the office. New Scotland Yard, by cheque, crossed " Drvmmond 3f Co.," Post Office Order payablt at Charing Cross, Postal Order, or Stamps. 13. Advertisements are accepted for the POLICB G- Azrrri through Mr. Janet Willing, 12S, Strand, London, the sole Agent, who will furnish the rates on application. 14.
