VICTORIA STATION, SW , BRIGHTON, and PARIS— 30, BOULEVARD DES IT ALIENS- WHICH IS THE ONE? I want to say a few words to you about three men we read of in the Bible, because you, whoever you are, are exactly like one of these men. First, there is the man who goes on wilfully sinning against God, who will not listen to God's voice of love or'warning— the man who hardens his heart, ilia": is Pharaoh. You know how often God warned him. You remember his end— how God made a path through the Red Sea for the children of Israel, and how 1 haraoli with his army followed till he reached the middle of the sea, and tht n, when he could not escape one way or the other, he suddenly saw at last that it was God Himself he was fighting against, and cried out, " Let us flee." But it was too late. Do you think that just at the last you are going to escape ? Jesus came to seek and to save. He has been seeking you all the years you have lived. He is teeking you this moment. Won't you let Him save you? " Be ye reconciled to God. Secondly, there is the man who believes all you tell him of Christ and His Salva- tion, and yet does not act on what he knows to be true— the man who hesitates. That is Pilate. Three times did he declare of Jesus, " I find no fault in Him — he wished to set Jesus free, hut he hesitated and hesitated till the chance was gone. You tell me you believe the old, old story ; why don't you act on it ? Are you atraid of the people round you, like Pilate was 1 The longer you hesitate the harder it will be, and at any moment death may come, and your chance will be lost too. Thirdly, there is the man who was once far from God, the chief of sinners, but who was afterwards safe in Jesus, joined to Him, living for Hun, till he went to live with Him. That is Paul. Are you like him ? Can you say, 1 am ready to be offered- I have fought a good fight?" This same Jesus, who was Paul s baviour, must be your Saviour too. He wants to be ! He wants to be ! He is Uod s gitt to you if you will take Him. Yes, God gave Him. God has done all He can do. He can do no more— it all rests with you now. Will you have Him? W.
