14. RETURNS RELATING TO PILOTS AND PILOTAGE, POUT OF CHESTEK— continued. RATES of PILOTAGE. Per Foot for British Foreign Vessels. INWARDS. From Sea or Hoylake to Wild Roads or Mostyn ------ From Wild Roads or Mostyn to Bagillt, or Flint ------ From Bagillt or Flint to Connah's Quay From Connah's Quay to Aston, Sandy- croft, or Chester - TOTAL - - Per Foot for British Foreign Vessels. OUTWARDS. From Chester to Sandycroft, Aston, or Connah's Quay - - - - From Connah's Quay to Flint, or Bagillt From Flint or Bagillt to Wild Roads, or Mostyn ------ From Wild Roads or Mostyn to Sea, or Hoylake ----- TOTAL - - Prom Sea to Llandudno cr Rhyl, or from Llandudno or Rhyl to Sea - From Flint or Bagillt to Dawpool, or Parkgate ------ Winter. Summer. 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 - N. B.— Winter season commences 1st October and ends 31st March. Coasters and Irish traders to pay one- half of the above respective rates according to the season of the year. No vessel to pay for less than eight feet draught of water, nor to pay for odd inches under or over half a foot. Also 5 s. per day for each day the pilot is kept on board at the request of the master. / l& Iiifn- IfaUH • E- jb • teliM Any pilot taking or agreeing to take less than the above rates, shall, on proof before five or more of the trustees, have llio-' . his license recalled, and be deemed incapable of ever being licensed again. Also, any pilot not making a full return of his earnings may be deprived of his license. No additional pilot to ba licensed except at a general quarterly meeting of the trustees. By 16 Geo. 3, s. 34, it is enacted, " That if any person or persons, not being liceneed as aforesaid, shall, from and after the time that the said trustees shall have fixed a proper number of pilots, take upon him or themselves to conduct or pilot any ship or vessel into or out of the said Port of Chester, or if any pilot so licensed as aforesaid shall, after the expiration of such license, continue to act as a pilot without the renewal of the same, every such person or persons shall for every such offence forfeit and pay the sum of 10 /. 19 March 1878. AMOUNT received for PILOTAGE ( INWARDS and OUTWARDS) in 1877. No account kept. ACCOUNT of the RECEIPT and EXPENDITURE of all MONIES received by or on behalf of PILOTAGE. No account kept. R.
