Frere, Esq. : it is now believtd to have been stolen by a man who sold a bay Pony at Diss Stock Sale on 9th instant, for £ 3 10s. 6d., he is of the follow- ing description, and left Diss same night with a woman in a cart, he is about 34 years of age, about 5 feet 4 inches high, dark completion, full face, small whiskers ali round, davk brown hair, and had a ring on each of his small fingers; dressed iu brown cloth overcoat, dark twill trousers and vest of the same material, dark chummy hat, lace- up boots, and large albert chain, with a large seal attached. The woman is about 36 years of age, about 5 feet high, dark brown hair, which was braided, and thin pale face ; dressed in a light dress, with flounces, fashionable c'o'h jicket, trimmed with fur on the bottom and pockets, bonnet trimmed with roses, had several rings on Augers of both hands, and stated she was wife of the above man. The cart is a dealer's large cart, very high, painted dark, lined out with green, has some brass about it, and some letters painted on it, supposed to be ' G. H.' or ' T. H.', a spoke out of the near wheel, and a piece broken out of one fellow of the off wheel. Very bad Harness, too small for tlv? horse. Stolen from out of a field in Bangor, Flintshire, between 6th and 8th instant: a ewe Lamb, 10 months old, cross bred, Leicester and Shropshire Down, brown fac9 and legs, the letter ' B.' in pitch on the right side. Further information respecting the Mare stolen from Luckington, on the night of 17th ultimo : she carries her neck and head straight. Description of a man charged with having on 12th inst., embezzled the sum of £ 92 : fjom 30 to 35 years of age, 5 feet 10 implies high, rather thin build, upright figure, fresh com- plexion, light moustache and whiskers, walks splay- footed, is addicted to drink, aud when under the influence of drink, becomes very violent, and makes use of bad language in French, ia well educated, and a gx> d draughtsman; was dressed in an old blue reefer coat, turning browr, mixture cloth trousers and vest, and black billycock hat, but may now be wearing new clothes; resided at No. 2, Annon- terrace, Hyde- road, Manchester. £ 10 reward will be paid for hi3 apprehension and recovery of the money, or in proportion to the amount recovered. Absconded from Margate on 13th instant, stealing £ 5 : ARTHUR STEPHENS, 18 yeaia of ag', 5 feet 4 inches high, light brown hair, blue eyes, pale complexion, thin face, slim figure ; dressed in a dark check suit, brown overcoat ; a painter by trade Information to be given to Head Con- stable Romanis, Margate, K^ ut, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- streei, Novsmler 16. Stolen from a dwelling house, at Farnworth, on 12th instaut; a woman's black velvet Hat, trimmed with black velvet, a red feather, and white buckle ; a brown stuff Jacket, and a white holland Apron. Also on same date from another house : a large size Paisley Shawl, and a puce and yellow striped woollen Shirt. The Jacket and Shirt have been who is thought to be wearing the stolen Hat and Shawl: a brown rep dress and boots, about 21 years of age, 5 feet high, fresh complexion, and dark hair. Stolen from the house of James Grant, [ St. Thomas, on 8th instant, by JAMES CHAPMAN, late of the Royal Horse Artillery, the following articles, viz : a black cloth monkey Jacket ; a pair of black cloth Trousers ; a double- breasted black cloth Vest, speckled with white; a blue Scarf ; and an old- fashioned single case verge Watch, with a piece chipped out of the dial at the figure six. Supposed to be wearing the stolen property, and a Scotch cap, with peak of same material: he is 24 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, brown hair, slight whiskers, and light moustache. Description of ZEPHANIAH NEWALL, who has absconded, charged with embezzling money belonging to his employer, and for whose apprehension a warrant has been granted : about 27 or 28 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark complexion, dark eyes, black bair and moustache, a little bald on forehead, proportionate figure, is a weaver by trade, but has lately been employed as a newspaper reporter, is a native of Lancashire, and married ; dressed when last seen in dark fancy worsted coating coat and vest, dark tweed trousers, pietty much worn, and glazed on the sleeves, black hard felt hat, and lace- up boots. Information to be given to Mr. Superintendent Oliver, Consett, Durham, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- slreet, November 14. Description of a man wanted for stealing Jewellery from a shop in Huddersfield, on 29th ultimo, property recovered.: JACOBS, a Russian Pole, 50 years of age, 5 faet 6 inches higb, brown hair, moustache, and beard, turning grey, wears spectacles, full face, stout build ; dressed in gray mixture suit, dark brown overcoat, silk hat, sometimes wears a billy- cock. Absconded, charged on a warrant with embezzling 15s., at Warriugton : CHARLES CROSIER, may use the name of T. BACON, solicitor's clerk, 32 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, sallow complexion, brown ( curly) bair and eyes, squints, moustache, no whiskers, high cheek bones, thick lips', and walks stiff and erect; dressed iu angola ulster, with hood, and brown seal vest lined with silk. Had s'x or seven truuks or boxes, which may be marked ' C. C. W.' Supposed left Warrington on 17th or 18th ultimo, and came to Euston- square, accompanied by wife, wife's sister and three young children ; the eldest girl about 6, a boy 4 years of age, and a young child, both women of low stature and well dressed. Further description of GEORGE WHITTAL. alias RICHARD LLOYD, alias GREATHEAD, alias WHIT- TAKER, alias EVANS, who absconded from Tasley, near Bridgnorth, charged on a warrant with stealing £ 3 and a pair of Boots, the property of John M. Astbury and Charles Batte ( described in Police Gazette of 4th May last) : he is a native Kuowbury, 21 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, sal- liw complexion, flat features, round shoulders, short neck, first joint of fore fiiiger of left nearly straight, having been hurt by a cbafi' cutter, slouching gait, and generally carries his bauds iu his pockets. He ia supposed to be working in the neighbourhood of North or South Staffordshire, aud has previously been employed in coal pits. Information to ba given to Mr. Superintendent Christie, Bridgnorth, Salop. — Bowsireet, November 14. Stolen on 9th instant, from the person of a man, whilst passing along Asylum- road, Wanstead: a common leather Purse, brass clasp, ' Wm. Kensett' scratched therdon, con- taining six Shillings. By three men, one 32 years of age, 6 feet 5 inches higb, da- k hair and beard; dressed in light overcoat, soft daiK felt hat; another 30 years of age, short, stout, flat nose, dark hair, thin beard on chin; dressed in dark monkey jacket, smoked pearl buttons, dark wideawake hat, red and black scarf losse round neck ; tbe other cannot be described. Absconded from Tansley on 31st ultimo, cbasged with stealing a pair of Soots, recovered: THOMAS BAKER, 20 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches high, rather dark com- plexion, smallish features, dark or dark brown hair, little or no whiskers or moustache; dressed as a labourer. Description of JOHN SUTTON, a shoemaker, wro has absconded from Oldbury, Worcestershire, and charged on a warrant with embezzling Us,, the money of his employer, on 11th August last : he is 40 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, black hair and whiskers, brown eyes, and broken noae; dressed in light tweed trousers and vest, and light green plaid cap. Is a native of Brierley- hill, Staffordshire, and is believed to have emmitted similar offences elsewhere. Absconded on 9th instant, from 21, Clare- street, Clare Market, stealing £ 2 in Bronze : the shop boy, 14 years of jtge, 4 feet 11, inches higb, stout build, fair complexion, light hair, blue eyes ; dressed in dark tweed jacket, blue serge trousers, black cap, with peak, and blucher boots.— Metro- politan Police, E Division, November 12. Wellington Mills, and played at the Queen's Head and Star Music Halls in that town. Information to be given to Inspector Ingram, Police Station, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.— Bow- st., Nov. 16. Absconded from Berriew, on 23rd ultimo, charged with obtaining an old- fashioned silver Watch, No. 1751, by false pretences, from Margaret Mills, of Trwstwellan, Berriew: a tramping watchmaker, about 30 years of age, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, light brown hair, little or no whiskers, smart appearance ; dressed in dark cloth coat and vest, grey cloth trousers, black felt hat, and was wearing a long white aproD. He calls at houses soliciting woik as a watchmaker and repairer, and represents that he is employed by some respectable tradesman in the district. He is supposed to be the same person described in the Police Gazette, charged with committing similar offences at Tenbury, Worcestershire. He may be accompanied by a young woman, information to be given to the Chief Constable, Newtown, or Police Con- stable Poole, Berriew, Montgomery shiie.— Bow- street, November 12. jruAtcram ais Description cf JOSEPH CLARKE, alias ' LITTLE JOE THE FIDDLER a native of Bedworth, Warwickshire, who is charged on a warrant with obtaining by false pretences, on 3rd instant, at Nuneaton, a Violin, from Mary Weston, property of Henry Weston : he is about 32 years of age, about 5 feet 4 inches high, slight build, full eyes, light brown hair, small dark moustache, lost the whole of his front teeth except one, grey eye?, mole on right cheek bone, rather knock kneed, and speaks with a deep voice, aud with a, Lancashire dialect; diessed in a black cloth suit, coat has four buttons on the back, dark cloth cap, with lapets tied on top. He is well known in Bolton, Lancashire, as he has worked at the Committed for trial at York Assizes, in Ma'ch next, charged with unlawfully wounding: JOHN TAYLOR, a native of Lincolnshire, a miner, about 41 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches higb, fresh complexion, grey eyes, brown hair, and rather stout build ; dressed in moleskin coat and trousers, grey cap, and strong boots ; he is a notorious poacher, and has worked in moot of the iron stone mines in Cleveland. Stolen between 30th and 31st ultimo ; the property of the Royal Aquarium Company, the undermentioned Celtic Ornaments and Articles ( personal) viz : A Tore, formed of a thin strip of gold about a quarter of an inch wide, twisted spirally, fastening together at the ends by small plain hooks, about 8 ins. in diameter. Four Armilla! made of spirally twisted strips of gold not quite so wide as the preceding, about 4i- inches in diameter, one broken. A Bracelet, smaller, but of the same form, 2J inches in diameter. ( These six specimens weigh between 2 and 3 ozs., and were dug out of a rath or mound near Kilfinnan, co. Limerick). A Mind, or Ornament, in form of a crescent, made of a thin plate of gold, about inches at its greatest width, gradually decreasing towards the ends, which are twisted ; the surface is engraved with borders on the inner and outer edges of small chevrons with lines between, and towards the clasps six transverse lines with hatched triangular ornaments. From DUDHD, about 8 inches in diameter. A long Tore, made of a stout but narrow gold band, twisted spirally, terminating in solid round hooks with long ends, which are slightly depressed into small cups, about 11 inches in diameter. Found near Scarborough. A gold Tore, formed uf a crescent- shaped plate of gold without any ornamentation, curved round at the edges BO as to lay on the neck, with the convex or semi- tubular side outward?, decreasing towards the ends, which are in form of small buttons. Found at Newmarket Fergus on the Suir, about 6 inches in diameter. A gold Armilla, or Ring Money, with solid shank and large cup- shaped ends, about 3 inches in diameter. Found in Ireland. Ditto of similar form, but the cup- shaped ends larger, and one is broken. Found in Ireland, about 4 ins. in diameter. An Armilla. made of a quadrangular bar of gold, with round fl it ends, quite plain. It ha* been alUred from its original circular form. Found at Cow- thorne Camp, near Pickering. A small gold Ornament, or Slide, usually styled Ring Money, chased, with raised cords and broad flat ends. Found at Ballymoney, Ireland, inches in diameter.
