DESCRIPTION of Mary M'Inerney, native of Tulla, who stands charged with hwiog, on tbe Srd day of February, 1877, in the barocjr of Islands, escaped from Ennis Lunatic Asylum, where she had been committed as a dangerous lunatic, and unlawfully taken with her several articles of clothing belonging to the institution:— Blue eyes, straight nose, ruddy complexion, long face, stout make, 6 feet 2 inches high, abodt 24 years of age, brown hair ; wore a dark gray shawl, gray Wincey gown, white flannel petticoat, branded " E. B., who stands charged with having, on the 22nd March, 1876, in the barony of Coshlea, parish of Kilbeheny, fired at Patten S. Bridge, esq., agent to Nathaniel Buckley, esq., Galtee Castle :— Rather short neck, slightly round shoulders; Brown eyes, hooked nose, fresh slightly freckled complexion, long faee, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark brown curly hair, sandy whiskers; wore a dark coat, cord trowsers, light vest. DESORIPTION of 2 persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 80th March, 1876, in the barony of Condons and Clangibbon, parish of Mitchelstown, been two of a party who fired at and wounded - Patten Bridge, esq., and Constable Mathew Nugent, and shot John Hyland dead at same time and place :— 1. Unknown— Fair complexion, stout make, 6 feet 10 inches high, about 36 years of age, sandy whiskers nearly meeting under the chin; wore a cloth frock coat; had his face blackened. 9. DESCRIPTION of Denis Shea and Alice Shea, husband and wife, natives of Killorglin, Kerry, w'in stand charged with having, on the 4th February, 1877, in the barony of Barrymore, parish of Caherlag, stolen a donkey cart, the property of Patrick Sexton, which has since been recovered:— 1. Denis Shea— Black spot under right eye, gray eyes, regular nose, pale complexion, laTge mouth, 6 feet 9 inches high, about 44 years of age. black hair, shares all his face; is a travelling fish dealer. 2. Alice Shea— Sunken black eyes, regular nose, sallow complexion, ) oval face, thin make, 4 feet 10 inches high, about 45 yesrs of age, dark hair. DESCRIPTION of Denis Murphy, native of Knockna- boola, district of Killarney, Kerry, who stands charged with having, on the 23rd July, 1876, at Kingwilliamstown, in the barony of Duhallow, parish of Nohavaldaly, so seriously assaulted Michael Conners that he died on the 95th July, 1876, ( see Hue- and- Cry, 1st August, 1876):— Gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, thin face, stout make, 6 feet 5 inches high, about 90 years of age; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of Gilbert M'Ilurick ( mothers sur- name Kernaghan), native ot Down, , who stands charged with having, on the 16th day of March. 1877v in the barony of Iveagh Upper, parish of Kilcoo, embezzled several sums of money, the pro- perty of Lord Roden:— Cut- mark on one ot his wrists; has a lond shrill cough; dark eyes, long drooped nose, dark complexion, long thin face, medium make, 5 feet ll inches high, about 35 years of sge, dark brown hair, wears all bis beard, which is light brown; wo e a low black hat, dark coar, tweed trowsers, dark vest; rather good- looking ; smart active appearance; is a shepherd. Galway DESCRIPTION of John Burke, native of Newcastle, c unty Limerick, who stands charged with having, on the 29th March, 1877, in the barony of Kiltartan, parish of Ardrahan, stolen a pair cf high- lows soled with gutta percba, a flannel vest, and a low felt hat, from the house of John casey, at Ballymaquiff, where he lodged the previous night:— Cut- mark on jaw near mouth, tattooed on hands, wrists, and arms; gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, round ' ace, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 22 years of age, fair hair cut short, small light moustache; wore a black cloth coat, cord trowsers, tweed vest: supposed to be a deserter fr m the army. DESCRIPTION pi John Killalea, native of Shanbally, who stands charged with having, on the 25th Novem- ber, 1876, in the barony of Clare, parish of Annagh- down, seriously assaulted William Burke, whose life is in danger:— May have marks of old cuts on face; down- looking appearance; gray eyes, long noso, sallow complexion, thin face, medium make, 5 feet 9 inches high, about 30 yearsof age, light brown hair; wore a dark frieae coat, gray tweed trowsers and vest. DESCRIPTION of 2 men, names' and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 31st March, 1877, at Boycetown, in the barony of Ikeathy, parish of Kileoek, robbed James Farrell, of Mullingar, of the undermentioned articles:— 1. Unknown— Stout make, 6 feet 11 inches hith, about 32 years of age, dark hair; wore a low h , t, brown frieae coat, dark browsers. 2. Unknown— Stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 25 yesrs of sge; wore a fur cap, dark tweed coat, dark trowsers. Description of the articles stolen:— 5a., viz., 2 florins and a shilling; a chamois purse, with brass clasp; 2 red flannel shirts, new, value for St. 6d. each; a pair of white cotion socks, value for Is. 6d ; a Windsor cord trowsers new, value lot £ 1 5s.; a cotton handkerchief, with race horses printed on it; a pawn ticket on an office in King's- street; a dis- charge from Mr. Guest of Gloucestershire. Kings DESCRIPTION of a man, name and native place unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 10th inst., ou the public road at Glasshouse, In the barony of Ballycowan, parish of Rahan, presented a pistol at an old woman named Margret Owens, and robbed her of a sum of £ 2 13 « . id.:— Wild- looking appearance; large brown ayes, common nose, dark sailow complexion, large full face, stout make, 5 feet 7 inches high, about 40 years of age; wore a low bat, brown cloth over- coat; chin shaved, remainder of face partly concealed with false hair, Ac. DESCRIPTION of a man, name unknown, who stands charged with having, on the 11th oi August, 1876, at about hali- past 11 o'clock, A. M., in the barony of Carra, parish of Drum, at Loonamorc, discharged three shots from a revolver from behind a rick of turf at George R. Acton, esq., Bridgemount, as he drove by, returning from the fair of Balla:— Face not muscular, about 18 stone weight, seemingly a man not accustomed to hard labour, swarthy or much sun- burnt complexion, round iaee, very full make 5 feet 8 inches high, 40 years of age, dark sandy hair, beard and moustache; brown frieze saek coat, dark tweed vest, whitish trowsers, and a soft hat, with high, crown. The special attention of the Constabulary is directed to the following: DESCRIPTION of Thomas Hunt, ' mother's surname Quigley,) native of Knockgranagh, who stands charged with having, on the 39th November, ult, in the barony of Leyny; parish of Achonry, murdered John M'Gloin, by fractaring his skull with a large stOne:— Doumleoking appearance, tbo upper front teeth large end prominent, high cheek bones, large heavy lips, sunken jaws, very broad shoulders; glaring black eyes, slightly cocked nose, sallow complexion, oval face, stout make, 6 faei 9 or 10 inches high, about 37 or 98 years of age, black hair, small dark moustache; wore a dark cloth coat, trowsers, and vest. Was in America, and lately returned from England, where he worked as a labourer. H as a pair of English- made navvy boots, with iron plates under toes, also a pair of light Wellington boots.
