M., on tbe 6th February, 1877 :— James Walsh, alias Michael Egan, 62 years of sge, convicted on 15th July, 1871, at Kilkenny; is a labourer, born in Thomastown, resided before con- viction in Kilkenny; his friends reside at Thomas- town ; brown hair thin on crown, small whiskers, gray eyes, light brown eyebrows, small nose, regular mouth, fresh complexion, large visage, stout make, 6 feet 4} inches high i wants the large toe of left foot, varicose veins in calf of right lep ; wore a jerrv hat, dark frieze monkey jacke', cord trowsers, striped barracan vest( navvj boots heavily nailed, all marked with letters L. P. Informatio n rfsp cting the above- natred convict - to be given at the Constabulary station?, or to the officer in charge of c mvicts at Lusk. DESCRIPTION of the uoder- mentioned, who is wanted for forging the names of Wright and Symms, stockbrokers, to a cheque for £ 140, and uttering same at the Royal Bank, Foster- place, Dublin, where he obtained said sum on the 27ih Janna y, and aoscoDded ;— Charles William Smith, about 40 years old, but looks older, 5 feet 9 inches high, pale com- plexion, dark hair turning gray, wore all his beard; dressed in oidioary dark clothes, is a na ive of Bath, a discharged soldier, and suspected of having eloped wi'h a female from Cardiff with whom he coriesponded. DESCRIPTION of Margaret Green, native of Mul- lagh, who stands charged with having, rn the 7th day of June, 1876, in the barony of Islands, parish of Drumcliff, committed bigamy :— Brown eyes, cocked nose, sallow complexion, flat face, very stout m » kf, 4 feet 6 inches high, about 40 years of age. dark hair; wore a short dress of gaudy colours. R., who stands charged with having, on the 92nd March, 1875, in the barony of Coshlea, parish of Kilbeheny, fired at Patten S. Bridge, esq., agent to Nathaniel Buckley, esq., Galtee Castle:— Rather ihort neck, slightly round thouldert; Brown eyes, hooked nose, fresh slightly freckled complexion, long face, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 40 years of age, dark brown curly hair, sandy whiskers; wore a dark coat, cord trowsers, light vest. DESCRIPTION of 3 persons, names and native places unknown, who stand charged with having, on the 80th March, 1876, in the barony of Condons and Clangibbon, parish of Mitchelstown, been two of a party who fired at and wounded Patten Bridge, esq., and Constable Matbew Nugent, and shot John Hyland dead at same time and place :— 1. Unknown— Fair complexion, stout make, 5 feet 10 inches high, about 85 years of age, sandy whiskers nearly meeting under the chin; wore a cloth frock coat; had his face blackened. 9. DKSCBIPTION of a cart, the property of Patrick Sexton, wbich was stolen from the lands of Ballin- glanna, parish of Caherlag, barony of Barrymore, on the 4th day of February, 1877 :— A donkey cart with long shafts and heels, centre board cf bottom joined in middle, waist- boards painted blue, bjdy of cart red, shafts and heels painted black at top; supposed to have been stolen by tinkers or travelling hawkers. DESCRIPTION of William Watkins alias Thompson, native of county of Londonderry, who stands charged wi'h havintr, on the 31st January, 1877, in the barony of North- west Liberties, parish of Temple- more, escaped from Londondtrry gaol, where he ! ad b'- en committed for trial on a charge of larceny:— Good- looking; smart, active, and respectable appearance ; dark brown eyes, regular nose, dark compl xion, regular face, medium make, 6 feet 6 inches high about 26 years of dark bair, slight dirk moustache and whiskers, which may now be shaved ; wore a round felt hat, dark coloured coat, striped trowsers. M., in the barony of Carra, parish of Drum, at Loonamore, discharged three shots from a revolver from behind a rick of turf at George R. Acton, esq., Bridgemount, as he drove by, returning from the fair of Balla: Face not muscular, about 13 stone weight, seeming' a man not accustomed to hard labour, swarth or mueh sun- burnt complexion, rouna isce, very full make 6 feet 8 inches high, 40 years ol age, dark sandy hair, beard and moustache; brown frieze sack coat, dark tweed vest, whitish trowsers, and a soli hat, with high crown. DESCRIPTION of Mary M'Keirna, native of Listra- hegney, who stands changed with having, on the 19th day of December, 1876, in the barony of Monaghan, parish rf Tullvcorbett, left the service of Mr. Wallace, of Braddocks, and it is feared that she has met with foul plav:— Brown eyes, regular nose, frjsh complexion,. ound face, medium make, 5 feet high, about 19 years of age; wore a white bat, with black and white ribbon, red woollen shawl, black dress, blue skirt, elastic boots ; is a servant. DESCRIPTION of John Ryan, native of Garrydufg, who stands charged with having, on the 8tft October, 1876, in tho barony of Clandonagh, parish of Rathdowney, seriously assaulted William Guilfoyle, thereby causing his death on 2nd November, 1876, ( see Hne- and- Cry, 3rd November, 1876):— Large boil on back of neck ; slight impediment in his speech ; gray eyes, fair - complexion, fresh freckled faon medium make, 6 feet 7 inches high, about 20 years of ape, fair hair > wore a dark tweed coat, tweed trowsers and vest. I HEREBY offer a reward of £ 50 to any person who 3ball, within six months from the date hereof, give such information as shall lead to the arrest of Thomas Hunt, who is charged with having murdered his brother- in- law, John M'Gloin, on the night of tbe 29th ult., near Bunninadden, parish of Cloonog- hill, in the county of Sligo. DESCRIPTION of Thomas Hunt, ( mother's surname Quigley,) native of Knockgranagh, who stands charged with having, on the 29th November, ult., in tho barony of Leyney, parish of Achonry, murdered John M'Gloin, by fracturing his skull with a large stone :— Down- looking appearance, upper front teeth large and prominent, high cheer bones, large heavy lips, sunken jaws, very broad shoulders ; glaring black eyes, slightly cocted nose, sallow complexio , oval face, stou' make, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, about 27 or 28 years cf age, black hair, small dark m ustache; wore a dark cloth coat, trowsers, and vest. Was in America, nnd lately returned from England, where he worked as a labourer. Has a pair of English made navv; boots, with i on plates uncer toes, also a pair of light Wellington boots. DESCRIPTION of Felix Kearns, native of Cliffoney. and Patrick Waters, native of Newtown Clitfoney, who stand charged with having, on the 8r^ Decem- ber, 187G, ia the barony of Carbury, parish of Ahamlish, committed a criminal assault on Bessie Gilmartin:— 1. Felix Kearns— Pimples < m face, delicate appear- ance, large month slightly turned; gray eyes, regular nose, pile complexion, round face, slight make, 6 feet 6£ inches high, about 19 years of age, fair hair; wore a dark tweed coat, dark trowsers and vest; is an assistant teacher in National ^ ch ol. 2. Patrick Waters— Heavy eyebrows; brown eye", sharp noso, fair complexion, regular face, stout make, 6 feet inches high, about 19 years of age, brown hair; wore a round hat dark tweed coat, dark trowsers a^ d vest; is a labourer. DESCRIPTION of Anne Walsh, native of Cullen, who stands charged with having, on the 1' th Janu- ary, 1877, in tbe barony of Clanwilliam, parish Cullen. unlawfully decoyed and enticed away one Ellen Nash, who is under 14 years of age, from tho house of her father, James Nash, with intent to deprive him of having the lawful care or possession of said child Ellen Nash:— Small toe of right foot cocked up; large blus eyes, straight nose, sandy com- plexion, round face, stout make, 6 feet 3 inches high, about 22 years of age, sandy hair , wore a gray tweed cloak, brown dress with over- skirt laced. Supposed to be accompanied by the child Ellen Nash. Description of the above- named Ellen Nash Dark eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, thin face, medium make, 4 feet 6 inches high, about 13 years of age, dark brown hair; wore a red dress, body not the same colour, strong laced boots. DESCRIPTION of Neiley Todd, alias Williamson, native of Mosside, county Antrim, who stands charged with having, on the 7th February, jn ihe barony of Clogher, parish of Aghaloo • 1 ' Catherine M'Geary, with criminal intent, and hav taken out a pistol and threatened to shoot her:— Smart appearance ; gray or blue eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, medium make, 6 feet 7 or 8 inches high about 19 or 20 years of age, fair bair; wore a round soft hat and gray clothes.
