I€ XOUSX< T WOUIDING, £ 50 reward will be paid for the apprehension or such information as - will lead to the apprehension of WILLIAM CLARKE, alias WESTON, alias BURK, alias ROSE, alias SLENDERMAN, who is charged with three other men in custody, with the murder of Henry Walker, a gamekeeper, of Norton Disney, Lincolnshire, on the 30th ultimo : he is between 40 and 50 years of age, 5 feet 11 inches high, grey eyes, dark brown hair, dark complexion, long face, clean shaved, cut on right side of nose, thick lips, and slightly round shoulders, he is a brick maker ; dressed in a long brown jacket with large patch on right shoulder, drab navvy slop underneath, fustian trousers, brown hairy cap, strong nailed boots, nearly new, and short leather leggings ; he is likely to make for a seaport. BTfafcGLAST 1IB motrnm EEEAEIia Stolen from the Drayman Inn, Bolton- road, Bradford! between 7 p m. on the 3rd, and 12 30 a. m. on the 4th instant, by means of breaking the latch of a bed- room window : £ 60 in Gold, a £ 10 Note, Derbyshire Bank ; several £ 5 Notes, Bank of England and Local Notes; also deposit Securities in the Bradford Banking Company, one for £ 400, one for £ 200, two for £ 100 each, and a Cheque for £ 3 from J. Burniston, Sunderland, to William Murgatroyd, Bradford; a small dark brown leather Satchel, with steel chain about the size of a man's head, and has been in use for many years; and a puce velvet Purse, plaia on one side, and beaded on the other. The person who has committed the robbery has cut his hand, supposed the left, as a brown cloth driving glove with leather fingers, is missing, and the right glove left. Two men who called at the house about a month ago with gas burners to sell, are strongly suspected for this, and similar robberies in the Riding. On 4th ins'ant, between 6 and 8 p. m. the dwelling- house of Joseph Lightfoot, Hailgate, Howden, was broken and entered and stolen therein : 1 lady's gold Watch, patent lever, rim capped, jewelled in 4 holes, gold dial, steel hands, gold balance wheel English make, and a lady ' s gold Chain attached; 4 gold Brooches, one containing a Likeness and Hair, the others polished stones ; 1 Case of gold Studs ; 2 gold Breast Pins, one of them oval shape, the other a square one ; 1 leather Satchel, marked ' A. Grundy,' containing dozen of silver Tea Spoons, 1 dozen Plated ditto, 2 pairs of Sugar Bows ; 1 dozen Table Knives, large size, 1 dozen email ones, maker's name ' Yellow Lees, Selkirk'; 1 carving Knife and fork, 2 Steel Forks with ivory handles; 1 dozen large size plated Forks, 1 dozen small ones, marked ' L,' 1 Steel with ivory handle, 2 leather Satchels, 2 Umbrellas, 5 silk Pocket Handkerchiefs, red and white spots, 1 gentleman's drab cloth Topcoat with velvet collar, 1 dark blue worsted Jacket, bound with black braid, two pockets outside, and one inside left breast. Abis, at Shorne, Kent, was broken and entered, and stolen therein: a black cloth Suit, man's size, marked ' R. Abis' in ink in several places on the lining of each garment. By a man. about 40 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, dark brown hair, beard, whiskers, and moustache ; dressed in dark mixture coat, grey trousers, and billycock hat. Information to be given to Superintendent Coppinger, Kent Constabulary, Chatham.— Bow- ftreet, February 7. Absconded, charged with breaking into a dwelling- house at Arrowe, between 1 and 4 p. m. on the 30th ultimo, and stealing therein a pair of daik grey cloth Trousers ( recovered). Also for breaking into a dwelling- house at Storeton, about noon on the 31st ultimo, and stealing therein a dark gvey shooting Coat and Yest ( recovered). Also for breaking into a dwelling- house at Grange, about 4 p. m. on the 2nd instant, and stealing therein a silver verge Watch ( recovered), an old- fashioned large size verge Watch, with German silver cases, and 3s. 7d. in Money. And also for breaking into a dwelling- house at Little Meols, about 2 p m. on the 2nd instant, and stealing therein, a single- barrelled Gun, brass plate broken near ths hammer, spring of lock out of repair, stock made of ash and varnished ; a pair of Eye- glasses, in black frame; a leather shot Bag; a copper Powder Flask, with steel spring ; and a Cap, trimmed with black and white ribbon : a man, between 25 and 30 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches high, daik complexion, no beard, and small dark moustache ; dressed in light grey shooting coat, with velvet collar, dark grey striped trousers, and dark cloth cap. Stolen from Oak Bank, Seal, during the night of the 27th ultimo : a light bay Mare, nearly thorough- bred, 3 years ' old, 13 or 14 hands high, star on forehead, few white hairs round the top of coronet, long mane and tail, has been docked, no shoes. Description of WALTER WHITE, charged with steal- , ing on the 1st instant: a Pony and Dog Care from a beer- house keeper in Sheffield ; about 30 years of age, 5 feet 6 ins. high, fresh complexion, dark eyes, hair and moustache, round face, clean shaved, large mouth, and talks very fast; dressed I in a long blue ovepcoat, having a piece torn out at back of : collar, and hard black felt hat. The Pony is a datk brown j ' mare, about 13 bands high, and aged ; has been recently | clipped, and is without mane except near the forehead. The ! Harness had silver plated mountings, is nearly new, and j made to fit the Pony. The Dog Cart has a green body, red ' wheels and shafts, the spokes and shafts being picked ont; with white, the seat fastens with a bolt, and the door at the back will let down. WHITE also took a Horse Rug, black on one side and black and red stripes on the other, aud a red cane Whip. Supposed to have been stolen from a meadow at j Shredding Green in the parish of Iver, Bucks, < n the 27th ultimo: a grey roan Heifer, about 2 years old. Stolen on the night of the 24th ultimo, from a field at Rudge Heath, Salop : a fat Shropshire Down Sheep, heavy look- woolled, marked with pitch on the right side ' J. W.' £ 15 reward will be paid on conviction of ihe offender or offenders, £ 5 by the owner, Mr. John Wilson, the Warren Farm, Rudge, and £ 10 by the Claverley Association for the prosecution of felons. Description of JOSEPH PENSON, labourer, of Shelly, who absconded on the 13th ultimo, charged with stealing an eight- day dial Clock, from the congregational school room. Chipping Ongar : he is 36 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, dark brown hair, dark complexion, shaves clean, and walks very upright, has served in the West Essex Militia ; he was wearing a soft felt black billycock hat, twill fustian jacket, dirty corduroy trousers, leather straps round legs, strong lace up shoes, and a blue striped cotton neckerchief. Information to be given to Superintendent Simpson, Epping, or to In- spector Robinson, Police Station, Ongar, who nolds a warrant for his apprehension.—. Bou)- street, February 9, Stolen on the 3rd instant from Balsall Heath- road, Balsall Heath : a ladj's gold English lever Watch, No. 7021, gold face and figures, esgine tun ed cm a gold Chain, secret link, with gold key in shape of a pencil attached. By a man who obtained a bed for thenigbt, supposed name LAMBERT, about 20 years of age, 5 feet 3 inches high, fair complexion, brown bushey hair, no whiskers or beard, thick lower lip; dressed in grey suit, and deerstalker hat. £ 2 reward will be paid to any person giving such information as will lead to the apprehension aud conviction of the offender or offenders, and recovery of the property. Stolen during the night of the 1st instant, from the dwelling- house of John Harris, of Back- street, Tutbury: a black cloth Overcoat; a black cloth Jacket; a grey cloth Jacket; a light brown Test and pair of Trousers; a white Scaif, with red spots ; a plaid woollen Shirt; a white cotton Shirt; a pair of Stockings ; a billycock Hat; and 4s. 6d. in Money. By a man, about 20 years of age, about 5 feet 4 inches high, stout build, fresh complexion, light brown hair, blue eyes, small moustache, has a sly downcast look, a blue mark across bridge of nose, and white scar on forehead; dressed a3 a navvy. Absconded, embezzling £ 7 6s. 8d., the monies of the Foresters Society, Westmorland Lodge, ' Westmorland Arms' public- house, George- street, Marylebone : GEORGE TIMS, 58 yc- ars of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, fair complexion, grey whiskers, curly hair ; dressed in dark clothes, respectable appearance. Description of ROBERT ROWBOTTOM, charged with stealing a lady's gold lever Watch and Chain, also £ 83 lis. 3d. from the dwelling- house of Thomas Foster, Moat Lane, Birmingham, on 26th ultimo : about 30 years of age, about 5 feet 5 inches high, dark sandy moustache, hats a lump on one side of face, and left side of neck ; he is a ^ unmaser by tratio. Information to be given to the Chief Constable, Birmingham, who holds a warrant for his apprehension. Bow street, February 9. Description of a man who gave the name of GEORGE JACKSON, watchmaker or cleaner, charged with larceny as a bailee, on the 1st instant: he is about 50 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, hair and whiskers turning grey, stout build., and boney ; dressed in dark reefer jacket, bound with braid, soft billycock hat, and lace- up boots. The watch is an English made silver lever, ecgin£- turned case, ' J. O.' on outer case, silver dial, gold figures, and jewelled in four holes. In- formation to be given to Inspector Boshier, West Riding Constabulary, Pontefract, who holds a warrant for his appre- hension.— Bow- street, February 9. Description of WILLIAM KING, charged with stealing 8s. 6d., belonging to Jane Mattinson, at the borough of Hull, on the 26th ultimo : 20 years of age, 5 feet 3 inches high, sallow complexion, blue eyes, brown hair, and is a fisherman. Was convicted at the Hull Quarter Sessions, on the 6th of April, 1876, of felony, after a previous conviction. Infor- mation to be given to Chief Constable Cook, Hull, Yorks. - Bow- street, February 9. Stolen, the property of Thomas Glover, at Chasetown, on the 3id instant: an old brown cloth Overcoat, pockets out- side ; a light- striped cloth Yest; a pair of strong new lace- up Shoes; and a blue and white spotted Muffler. By THOMAS GREEN, a lodger, 25 or 26 ye^ rs of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, light complexion, brown hair, shaves clean, lost first joint of right forefinger, and is a miner ; dressed in black cloth jacket, woollen cord trousers, soft billycock hat, and grey and white striped woollen shirt; he has blue rings round several fingers, a cannon on one arm, a sailor and crossed Hags on both arms ; supposed to have served in the Royal Marines ; he said he has a sister and nephew living at 18, Sus.- ex- street, Sheffield, who keep a tin shop, and that he is wanted at Wakefield or Sheffield. Absconded charged with embezzlement on the 2nd inst., from Stratford- upon- Avon : HENRY LOUCH, clerk to the Canal and Great Western Railway Company, 30 years of age, about 5 feet 10 inches high, slender build, fresh complexion, brown hair, thin whiskers and moustache, tuft of hair on chin inclined to be sandy, generally wears spectacles, and splays his feet wheu walking ; generally dressed in a dark frock overcoat, and deerstalker hat. Information to be given to Head Constable Rowley, Stratford- on- Avon, Warwickshire, who holds a warrrant for his apprehension.— Bow- street, February 7. Stolen early ou the morning of the 6th instant, from a cottage at Lichfield : a new pair of lady's elastic side Boots, No. 4 sizs, levant hide, black bottoms, brass rivetted, and high heels. By a man, who took lodgings there the evening before, stating that he was going to work at the City Railway Station, Lichfield, in the engineering line, about 21 years of age, about 5 feet 4 inches high, proportionate make, dark brown liair, no whiskers or moustache; dressed in black clothes, and hard black billycock hat. Has worked at his trade in Loudon, Manchester, and some of the principal provincial towns. Information to be given to Chief Constable Hunt, " Warrington, Lancashire. — Uois- itreet, February 7. Stolen on the 3rd instant, from the dwelling- house of George Jones, Rhostyllan : an old red and black mixture cloth Jacket, mended and turned inside out, and the breast pocket sewn up ; a brown cloth Shawl with red and « hire border and fringe ; and an Overcoat, mended in the lining with a square black pilch of stuff at the shoulders. By « man who lodged in the house and left at 6 a. m. ; 25 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, short light hair, and Ion" features : dressed in a dark cloth coat, mole kin trousers and waiiitcoat. By STEPHEN BRIERLEY, a labourer, who lodged in the house about three weeks; he has be^ n three years in the Bleasdiile Reformatory School; about 32 years of age, 5 feet .1 or 2 inches high, fresh com- plexion, brown hair, a tuft of hair ( sandy) on chin, red mark under left eye, large cut mark on one thumb, has. lost an upper front tooth, and is supposed to have a bracelet tattooed on his left wrist. HARRISON, about 55 years of age, 6 feet high, hair and whiskers . turning grey, no moustache; dressed in black suit, white neckerchief, broad brimmed black hat. H « is rather stout, and had the appear- ance of a clergyman. He ordered a quantity of goods from several tradesmen to be sent to an hotel where he stayed one night, and went away with the whole of them. Description of JOHN THOMAS WRIGHT, a joiner, late of Micklehurst, Cheshire, who has absconded, charged with stealing Irom a joiner's shop at Sanbeds, on the 26th ultimo : a hand Saw, marked ' Groves and Sons, Sheffield'; a H- inch paring Chisel, with new box- wood haft; a beech- wood Mallet, with ash- wood handle ; a smooth Plane, 2j- inch iron; a Hammer, Lancashire make; an Oil- stone, in sycamoor stock, ail marked ' R. Thornley ;' a plugging Chisel, marked 1 W. W.'; an oil- stone, in deal- wood stock; a paring Chisel, marked ' H. O.'; a jack Plane, marked ' Varvill and Son, York'; andapai' of Pincers : be is about 21 years of age, 5 feet high, light complexion, light brown hair, rather cutly, light moustache, no whiskers, and stout build ; says he is a native of Leicester; dressed in a drab or blue oilot cloth reefing jacket, light- coloured vest, dark cloth trousers, with narrow light stripe, and dark soft felt hat; he has been traced to New Mills with the stolen tools in his possession; it is supposed that he will seek employment between New Mills and Leicester, has been in custody at Leicester and Stalybridge for larceny ; he is fond of singing in public- houses and beer- houses.
