He resided last at, Bridling- ton ; has worked for Mr. Clough, at Selby, and also at Drif- field, and served hL> time at Howden. Description of CLAUDE ALLEN, nams supposed to be fictitious, charged by Frederick John Coleman, hotel keeper, Luton, with obtaining £ b by means of a false cheque drawn on Sir Samuel Scott and Co's. bmk, 1, Cavendish- square, London : about : j0 years of age, 0 feet 10 or 11 inches high, dark co- nplexion, dark browu hair, dark heavy moustache, few whiskers, peculiar look with his eyes ; dressed iu a check tweed suit, low hard black deerstalker rat, and browu cloth overcoat. He is a person of good address, and very fond of talking about officers iu the Army, has a very military appearance, and states he ia employed by Government buying horses for the autumn manoeuvres. Description of THOMAS BARTON, charged ( with Others) with conspiring to defraud his employer : 35 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, ruddy complexion, full eyes, dark brown hair, round fac- e, aud thick set. Was formerly employed at the East Loudon Railway Works, and Gaston Hew Docks, near Liverpool, well known to Messrs. Committed to take his trial at the next Qiarter Sessions, to be held at Maidstone, on the 29th June, for larceny from the person, on the Sevennaks Race- course, ou thb 24th ull. : EDWARD PHIZACKERIEG, a valet, 18 yeara of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, dark brown hair, brown eyes, sallow complexion, long face, proportionate build, scar and small brown mark on small of ba^ k, and small scar ou left arm.
