Kelly and Timothy Deasey, reputed to bo Fenians, having been forcibly rescued from custody while being conveyed to tlic Man- chester City Goal, at i p. m., this day, arc now at large: The above reward will be paid by Her Majesty's Government to any person or persons who shall give such information as will lead to the capture of tho above- named Thomas Q. Kelly and Timothy Deasey. Secrecy will be observed as to the Name of the Informant. Description :— Thomas Q. Kelly otherwise Martin Williams, a native of Ireland, 35 years of nge, 6 feet 6 inches high, hazel eyes, brown hair, brown whiskers, weighs 100 pounds, small scar inside right arm, scar over right temple, large scar over middle of belly from an ulcerated wound, one tooth out on right side, next to double onos on top side s says lie iij a bookbinder by trade. B.; a mosaic brooch with i a cameo brooch; a bracelet i 2 pins made of shells, with , The case and bottles markcj By two men and a womn d - i. of middle hejgli piv • « ••• •:''• tvve< 20 an chubby uo*', < A rewfu'd of person giving< conviction ofj atL ConsjJ DESCRIPTION of Charles Bowes, late rate- collector under the Middlesbrough Corporation, who absconded on tho 18th instant, after embezzling divers sums of, money belonging to the Corporation:— he is about 46 years of ago, 5 feet 10 inches high, fresh complexion, linzcl eyes, boil mark at tho ond of nose, brown hair turning gray, largo whiskers and moustache ( which he may shave off), stout build, short thick neck, and a little round shouldered, rolling gait when walking. Supposed to be dressed in a bluo cloth jacket, dark trowscrs, and body hat; a great smoker, fond of company. A native of York, where his father and brothers reside. Bowes served 15 years in the 9th Lancers, and received his discharge in 1853. After that lie was a waiter at tho Station Hotel, York, and from 1854 to 1864 he served iu the Middlesbrough Police Force, ami hold the rank of Inspector. Ho is well known to most officers of the different Polico Forces in the neighbourhood. Inibrmation to be given to Mr. E. J. Saggerson, . DESCRIPTION of Martin Towey and Matthew Towey, natives of Derrinacarta, and Patrick Hunt, native of Brogher, who stand charged with having, on the night of the 17th December, 1869, in the barony of Costello, parish of Kilcolman, dangerously assaulted Michael Towey, of Derrynabrook, by inflicting several cuts on his head with stones, from the effects of which his life was in danger, and for which a warrant has l^ en issued for their arrest:— 1. Martin Towey— blind of left eye ; mark of cut on right cheek; gray eyes, cocked nose, ruddy complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 24 years of age, dark hair.; wore a blue cloth cap, pilot jacket, woollen trowsers, dark vest. 2. Matthew Towey— thigh cheek bones, thick lips; has a sore on one of his knees; black eyes, cocked nose, fair complexion,! hoi low face, stout make, 5 feet 5 inches high, about 20 years of agei dark hair; wore a black cloth cap, black frock coat, black trow- sers, dark vest; is a brother to No, 1. 3. Patrick Hunt— large cheek bones, broad shoulders ; stoops when walking; gray eyes, regular nose, fair complexion, broad face, stout make, 5 feet § inches high, about 23 years of age, fair hair; wore a black Iiat, white coat, tweed trowsers, tweed vest. DfescniFTiON of James Doohan, native of Castle- more; who stands charged with having onthe nigh of the 22nd December, 1809, in the barony of Costello, parish of Kilcolman, dangerously assaulted Michael Moraghan and Pat Moraghan, both of Bonada, county Roscommon, by inflicting a wound on the arm of the former with a knife, and inflicting two cuts on the head of the latter with stones :— stooped broad shoulders, gray eyes thick nose, fresli complexion, round face, stout make, 5 feet 8 inches high, about 28 years of age, dark hair; wore a low yankee hat, dark round sack coat, blue cloth trowsers, blue cloth vest. It is thought he will endeavour to escape to England, and from thence to America, where his wife at present resides. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Ballaghadereen, Dec. 30, 1869. DESCKTPTION of Pierce Ennis, native of Lancashire, England, who stands charged with having, on the 25tli day of December, 1869, in the barony of Athlone, parish of Fuerty, absconded from the service of his master, Mr. Patrick Burke, and stolen from his resi- dence a silver geneva watch, with gold albert chain, value about £ i 10s., a five- chamber revolver, value about £ 5, a pair of short boots, value about 8s., and a meerschaum pipe, value about £- 2 :— one tooth out oj front of mouth, the remainder of teeth black and rotten looking; blue eyes, long nose, fair complexion, long face, slight make, 5 feet 3 inches high, about 16 years of age, dark brown hair; wore an old dark cloth cap, dark cord jacket, trowsers, and vest; speaks with the English accent, he is supposed to have returned to one of the manufacturing towns in Lancashire, and in order to be able to do so, it is likely he will present the stolen articles for pawn. ' i DESCRIPTION of Michael Hogan, native of Kil- barron, Borrisokane, who stands charged with having, on thp evening of the 30th December, ultimo, in the barony of Middlethird, parish of Ratlicooje, effected his escape from the custody of the police while fscorting him from Killenaule . to Fetliard, en route to Clonmel gaol, on remand, for threatening to assault Head- Constable Patrick Carroll, who re- quired him to give an account of himself*:— a small spot bald on the crown of his head; gray eyes, regular nose, fresh complexion, small face, medium make, about 5 feet 4 inches high, about 33 ycarsj of age, brown hair; woro black soft jerry hat, , three old dark frieze coats and a jacket of greqp. corduroy; corduroy trowsers, gray tweed vest; was barefooted. Is supposed to have with him an old white bag con- taining old school- books. Stated that he was a National school teacher, and formerly employed as such at Piercestown, county Wexford, and Fort, Rathangan, county Kildare. Is of excitable tem- perament. DESCRIPTION of Patrick Dwyer ( Hanly), native of Bonerea, wlio stands charged with having, on the 24 th day of October, 1869, ( with Patrick and Thomas Ryan ( Martin), who have been made amenable,) in the barony of Kilnamanagh," Lower, parish of Donohill, attacked and dangerously assaulted with stones James and John Dwyer, of Foilachy, and Timothy Danaher, of Lower Glenough, fracturing the skulls of the Dwyera^ and thereby placing their lives in danger, and also inflicting a wound on the face of Timothy Danaher:— Patrick Dwyer ( Hanly), blue eyes, long thin nose, freckled complexion, rough and slightly freckled face, slender make, 5 feet 6 inches high, about 17 years of age, light brown hair; wore a jerry hat, tweed frock coat, light tweed trowsers and vest.
