VVSDER AND MALXOIOnSX. 1T WOUNDING Description of two navvies charged with manslaughter at Eye and Dunsden, Oxon, on the night ot the 2nd instant: one 19 or 20 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark complexion, stout figure, galvanized ring on little finger cf left hand ; the other 19 0r 20 yeais of ate, 6 feet 7 inches high, light com- plexion and hair, pock pitted, thin figure ; both wore ear- rings, leaves, larf e size ; a silver table Spoon, marked ' M' and about £ 2 in Gold, Silver, and Copper. Between 10 p. m. on the 2nd and 6 a. m. on the 3rd inBtant, a shoemaker's shop at Pentregwynfryn Lanbedr, Merioneth- shire, was broken into, and the following property stolen therein : a pair of new Wi- llington Boots, red leather tops ' green webs with three stripes, the middle stripe larger then the others, steel heels, man's size ; and a pair of old ditto, unstitched round. I ¥ ' Between 9 a. m. and 6 p m. on theSrd instant, the dwelling- house of Thomas Williams, of Aukerton, in the parish of Eccleshall, was broken and entered, and stolen therein : a plain black silk Dress, with brown spots on it, caused by damp ; a black cloth frock Coat, pocket inside left breast ; a pair of black cloih Trousers, man's size ; and a Bottle of Gin : sup- posed by tramps. He is about 6 teet 8 inches high, and has moustache shaved off; when Inst seen was wearing a black cloth cap wi'h peak, and the white slop which he is wearing underneath his overcoat has some black grease marks down the front, 8nd he occ- sionally works wiih travelling thrashing machines as engine driver. Further information respecting the Mare stolen froia Lower Gare Farm, parish of Sr. Michael Cwmdn ( advertised in the Police Gazette of the 23th September last) : it was sold on the 24' h September, at Wain Fair near Dowlais, to a horse dealer from Cardiff, by THOMAS POWELL, a native of Newbridge, Radnorshire,- 10 ur 4'> years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, rather stout, round f* ce ( supposed sligh'ly pock- pitted), sandy whiskers meeting under the chin, high fore- head, bold looking; he is of drunken habits, very free with his money in public houses, is well known amongst railway navvies and. contractors, and has been h sub contractor on the Brecon and Merthyr, Mid- W^ Vs. and other railways. He is supposed to be well known about Caerphilly and other parts of Glamorganshire. Stolen from a field in the parish of Mangotsfield, on the 3rd instant, a dark bay horse Pony, six years old, about 12 hands high, rough coat, black mane and tail, i. nd black legs, very slow in travelling, the property of Mrs. Hester Hobbs. A man of the following description is suspected of stealing tlw same : about 28 years of age, 5 feet 9 or 10 inches high, stout build, dark hair and whiskers, a labourer, and supposed lo be a native of Exmouth, Devon. Stolen from a bed room at the Blue Lion Inn, Llaufaur, near Bala, between 3 and 9 p. m. on the 2nd instant, a Commer cial Tobacco Box, 8 inches long, 6 inches wide, abuut 6 inches high, with four yellow knobs, made of strong block tin, daik green colour, the lid opens in halves, one by pressing a half- penny down on a spring through a brass aperture, with an inscription like the following: ' Halfpenny dropped into the till, press down the knob and you may fill ; when you have filled without delay, shut the lid or sixpence pay ;' there is a lock and key on the other lid, and an imitation of a tobacco plant.
