16 RETURNS RELATING TO COUNTY SURVEYORS ( lRELANL>). QUEEN'S COUNTY. County Surveyor, Horace W. Townsend ; salary, 300/. per annum, for seven years previous to the Act 24 & 25 Yict. c. 43. First Assistant, Adam Taylor; Second Assistant, William Long; Third Assistant, John Berry. Salary 50 /. per^ annum for seven vears previous to Act 24 & 25 Yict. c. 43. The County Surveyor's salary was increased to 500 /. per annum, pursuant to Act 24 & 25 Yict. c. 43. The salary of Assistants was not increased. The Grand Jury did not require their County Surveyor or Assistants not to engage in private practice. 7
