John T. Gregg, Secretary, 2 April 1863. COUNTY OF LONGFORD. RETURN respecting COUNTY SURVEYORS and their ASSISTANTS, for Seven Years previous to the Act 24 & 25 Vict. c. 43. Name of the County Surveyor, James Bell; salary 300 I. per annum, with an allowance of 501, for a clerk, yearly. Since the passing of the Act mentioned, James Waters was appointed Assistant, at a salary of 501, a year, under the Grand Jury Act, 6 & 7 Will. 4, c. 116. STATEMENT of County Surveyor or Assistants whose Salaries have been advanced pursuant to 24 & 25 Yict., and Amount advanced. No advance of salary to County Surveyor. The salary of James Waters, the Assistant, advanced from 50/. to 801, a year at Spring Assizes, 1863. The Grand Jury do not require the County Surveyor or Assistant not to engage in private practice.
